3875 Forgotten Treasures in Your Marriage
Life pulls you in a thousand directions. Between work, errands, kids, social commitments, and more, it feels like you're stretched thin, barely holding everything together. In moments like these, staying happily married can seem like an impossible task. The easiest escape? Giving up, walking away, or settling for less than you deserve. But before you let frustration win, pause and ask—what about the forgotten treasures in your marriage? Long before the chaos took over, there were sparks, joy, and real connection. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Those moments didn't just vanish—they got buried under layers of routine and stress. Rediscovering them isn't fantasy. It's strategic. It's essential. Imagine what could change if you found those treasures again—the laughter, the intimacy, the feeling that you still have a partner who sees, supports, and respects you. So how do you get back there? The K.I.S.S. ~ Rediscover the treasures! Here are three powerful moves any spouse or couple can make to unearth those hidden gems in their relationship: Hit Pause and Prioritize Presence When life speeds up, your attention fragments. Phones ping, calendars overflow, and distractions pile up. The first treasure you lose is presence—the simple act of truly showing up for each other. Make a choice each day to put away the noise for a dedicated window of time. No phones, no multitasking. Just intentional, undistracted time together. Even 10 minutes of real eye contact, honest talk, or shared silence can reconnect you to what's real. Revisit What Drew You Together Your relationship had a start—memories, values you lined up, jokes shared, and dreams built. Revisit that foundation deliberately. Pull out old photos, retell your story, or recreate a memorable date. This isn't nostalgia for nostalgia's sake; it's remembering the reasons that made your bond compelling, the things that felt irresistible—and why you chose to blend your life with this person. Create New Rituals That Matter Routine kills romance only when it becomes monotonous and meaningless. But rituals done right reinforce connection. Find or create rituals that feel significant to both of you—morning coffee chats, weekly walks, or Sunday night check-ins. These become anchors amid chaos, moments where you reconnect on a deeper level. The trick is consistency with intention, not expensive or elaborate gestures. Here's the truth: no marriage stays fresh and fulfilling without effort. But effort without focus on what really matters burns out fast. Rediscovering these forgotten treasures shifts the trajectory of your relationship from exhaustion to engagement—from surviving to thriving. Your marriage isn't just a checkbox or a compromise. It's a living, breathing partnership waiting to be dug up, dusted off, and cherished again. Those forgotten treasures might be the best find ever! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 💍 The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury: (https://karenkingsbury.com) 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3874 Make Gratitude a Family Habit
With Thanksgiving around the corner, you will hear a lot about being grateful. But gratitude isn't a seasonal decoration. It's a daily practice that parents must live and teach if they want their kids to grow up grounded, resilient, and far from the trap of entitlement. Make gratitude a family habit. Gratitude isn't just a nice-to-have emotion; it's a fundamental mindset that shapes how we experience and respond to life. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Research in psychology and human behavior shows that people who practice gratitude regularly are not only happier but also less stressed, more resilient, and better at forming strong relationships. For kids, learning gratitude early builds a foundation for emotional intelligence that can protect them from feeling entitled, discouraged, or disconnected as they grow. Why is this so crucial? Because life isn't a nonstop highlight reel. Challenges, setbacks, and disappointments come to everyone's doorstep. Without gratitude, it's easy to get stuck in frustration or envy, which only deepens stress and dissatisfaction. But gratitude rewires the brain to notice and appreciate resources, kindness, and even small moments of joy — giving us a buffer against life's inevitable hard knocks. In a family setting, this matters even more. Kids watch their parents not just for words but for cues on how to handle emotions and challenges. When parents embody gratitude, they show kids a way to lean into hope instead of bitterness — a way to be aware of abundance even when faced with scarcity. Here's another critical point: gratitude isn't about ignoring problems or pretending everything is perfect. It's about holding two truths at once. You can be upset about what's wrong and still be grateful for what's good. That balance creates emotional flexibility and maturity, equipping children to face the world with a realistic but positive lens. So gratitude isn't just a warm fuzzy feeling. It's a skill and a muscle to be trained. The more families practice it, the stronger it grows — giving parents and kids a daily lifeline to navigate life with courage and connection rather than entitlement and isolation. And isn't that the kind of life any parent wants for their child? The K.I.S.S. ~ Create the lifeline of gratitude! If you want your kids to get gratitude, you have to show them what it looks like beyond the "please" and "thank you" phrases. Here are three clear, no-fluff moves you can make as a parent to promote genuine gratitude in your family — with real-life examples you can start today. 1. Make Gratitude Visible — Not Just a Feeling Kids can't be grateful for what they don't notice. Most of us default to focusing on what's missing or what's wrong. Flip that script. Create daily rituals where you spotlight what you do have together as a family. Example: At dinner, go around the table and have each person name one specific thing from their day they're thankful for — not vague gifts like "my family," but specifics like "how mom made my favorite pasta today" or "that I scored a goal at soccer." This shifts gratitude from a nebulous idea into a concrete habit. Over time, your kids will start scanning their day looking for those moments themselves. 2. Model Gratitude When Things Go Wrong Gratitude isn't just for the wins and sunny days—it's what keeps us going when life throws curveballs. Example: When plans fall apart (like a canceled birthday party or a missed bus), instead of letting frustration take over, verbalize the silver lining. "I'm mad this happened, but I'm grateful we have each other and we can still have fun at home." This teaches your children how gratitude works in real time to soften disappointment. If you only show gratitude when life's easy, your kids won't learn its true power. 3. Give Without Expecting Immediate Thanks or Results Gratitude grows best in soil watered with kindness and generosity—not transactions. Example: Do small acts of kindness as a family without announcing them or expecting recognition. Maybe you secretly donate old clothes together or write thank-you notes to your mail carrier or teachers. Talk about why helping others matters without always tying it to getting a "thank you." Kids will pick up on the idea that gratitude is tied to generosity, not just receiving. Gratitude isn't a shiny bonus—it's the quiet courage that fills life's cracks with hope when things don't go your way. And let's face it, the tough days make the up days even sweeter. As a parent, your daily example is the blueprint your kids will follow. So double down on gratitude now. Make it messy, real, imperfect — but make it happen. Because showing your kids how to live life with gratitude is one of the best gifts you can give. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 💍 The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury: (https://karenkingsbury.com) 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3873 Elevate Your Rhythms
How often are you actually crushing your to-do list—and not just busy? Be honest. Because running from task to task, dizzy with frustration, is not a badge of honor. It's a sign you're out of sync with what truly matters. Create your now—elevate your rhythms. Life doesn't hand us extra hours; it hands us rhythms. Habits. Those daily patterns that either drain us or drive us forward—often without us even noticing. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Here's the truth: if you're stuck practicing the wrong rhythms, your priorities get kicked to the curb. You show up exhausted, distracted, or worse, waiting for "someday" instead of owning the day. So, what if you could elevate your rhythms—tune into habits that amplify your purpose, sharpen your focus, and command your energy? It starts by grounding yourself with a simple reset: take a deep breath and ask, "What rhythm am I really running on right now?" Is it a chaotic dance that scatters your focus or a deliberate beat that powers meaningful action? The K.I.S.S. ~ Elevate your rhythms! Elevated rhythms aren't about perfection—they're about alignment. They're the daily moves you make that create forward momentum on your most important goals. When you establish these intentional cycles, you stop wasting energy on noise and start channeling it where it counts. The outcome? You accomplish not just more, but what matters most. That meeting, project, call, or moment with a loved one that defines your day, not the endless busywork that fills it. Don't settle for scrambling. Reclaim your time by crafting habits that serve your purpose. Because your rhythms don't just move you through the day—they set the pace for your life. Elevate Your Rhythms by Kristianne Wargo In the rush where moments scatter, And the noise won't cease to chatter, Pause — a breath, a steady drum, Find the beat where purpose hums. Habits built like flowing streams, Carry weight, or carry dreams, Broken patterns, worn and frail, Or a mighty, steady gale. Rise above the chaos' call, Choose the rhythm that won't fall, Let your actions sing with grace, Every step a meaningful place. Not the busy, blind routine, But a dance both sharp and keen, Elevate your daily flow — Make your time and purpose grow. So when the day is done and gone, You'll see where all your hours shone, In rhythms kept and wisely played, The life you meant to have was made. "Be present. Be incredible. 3872 Patience Is Not Passive
When it comes to healthy living, consistency is king. But anyone who's ever tried to lose weight or build better habits knows that consistency alone isn't enough. You need patience, too. Yet, patience is often misunderstood as doing nothing — sitting back and waiting for magic to happen. It's not. Patience is not passive. It's an active choice to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow or invisible. We're quick to judge ourselves, especially if past attempts ended in failure. That critical voice inside pushes us to do more, faster, like we're racing against some ticking clock. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com But freaking out or trying to prove something only fuels frustration and self-doubt. And frustration doesn't get the scale to budge, the energy to spike, or habits to stick. It just keeps you stuck. Healthy living isn't about being perfect. It's about embracing imperfection — making the best decisions you can right now while living a life that's real and messy. Patience is your companion on this journey, and it's most powerful when paired with deliberate action. So how can you be active while you're patiently waiting for the weight to fall or the habits to take root? It's all about patience in action! The K.I.S.S. ~ Patience in action! Here are three concrete moves anyone can make to embody patient action: 1. Daily Mini Wins: Choose Small Actions, Every Day Patience doesn't mean waiting for some giant breakthrough. It means showing up for yourself daily, even in small ways. What it looks like: Instead of a marathon workout once a week, commit to a 10-minute walk each day. Or swap one soda for water every afternoon. These smaller wins build momentum. How to adapt: Schedule it like a meeting you can't miss. Set an alarm to remind you, or pair your mini-win with an existing habit—brush your teeth, then do a quick stretch. Showing up consistently with these manageable tasks keeps you active and engaged, even if the scale or mirror isn't celebrating yet. 2. Reflect and Adjust: Use Your Waiting Time to Learn Patience gives you space to reflect on what's working and what's not—without judgment, only curiosity. What it looks like: Keep a simple journal or notes app where you jot down daily energy levels, moods, or craving triggers. Notice patterns and adjust your plan accordingly. How to adapt: Make this reflection a brief part of your day, maybe before bed or after meals. Use your insights to tweak your eating, exercise, or sleep habits bit by bit. Being patient with your process means you're constantly refining your approach, not stuck repeating the same old 'failures'. 3. Invest in Your Foundations: Prioritize Rest and Recovery Patience includes respecting your body's need for downtime as much as it craves movement. What it looks like: Sleeping enough, managing stress, and scheduling rest days even when you want to push harder. How to adapt: Notice how you feel after a bad night's sleep or a stressful day. Choose to hit pause, even with a short meditation, breathing exercise, or gentle yoga session. Prioritizing recovery keeps your body primed to respond to your healthy efforts over the long haul. Your body is the engine that powers everything you do. The better you care for it, the bigger your impact on the world around you. Healthy living isn't a race; it's a continuous journey of patient action. By scaling down the overwhelm and focusing on daily wins, self-reflection, and rest, you stay active even while waiting for results. Life is worth living fully—imperfect, unpolished, and real. Be patient in your actions, and the outcomes will follow. "Be present. Be incredible. 3871 Build in the Stillness
Now that Halloween's behind us, the rush of the busy season is kicking into high gear. The instinct to push harder, check off every box, and chase every opportunity can feel unstoppable. Yet sometimes the most brilliant move isn't to sprint. It's the slowdown to build in the stillness. Most people never give themselves the chance for deep, uninterrupted thinking. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com We fill every minute with tasks, meetings, and "to-dos" without ever stepping back to truly assess what's working—and what's holding us back. The hard realization many avoid is that it's not always about what you should be doing more of. Often, it's about what you need to stop doing. The K.I.S.S. ~ Build in the stillness! Slowing down doesn't equal losing momentum. In fact, it's precisely the opposite. When you resist the urge to hustle blindly, you create space to clarify your path. You find the distractions, the assumptions, and the outdated expectations that are quietly sapping your energy and focus. You can slow down to speed up. Whatever your beliefs, there's a rhythm to growth and success that can't be rushed. There's a timing to the opportunities meant for you—a timing that often outpaces your plans and deadlines. At what point do you stop staking your actions on your own relentless drive and start aligning with what God has designed specifically for you? Expectations and assumptions can strand you in the wrong place and keep you spinning in uncertainty. The stillness is where you tune out the noise, discard those false pressures, and stake your claim in what truly matters. This isn't about giving up or dropping your goals. It's about building well—with intention, wisdom, and patience. When you build in the stillness, your foundation becomes unshakable, and your next moves sharper. So as this crazy season unfolds, don't just do all the things because it feels like you have to. Build in the stillness. And watch what happens when you move forward—not from desperation, but with purpose. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 💍 The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury: (https://karenkingsbury.com) 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3870 Why Chasing Control Is Crushing Your Confidence
It's SO exhausting white-knuckling through your day because you think controlling every little thing will lead to better results. Control is not confidence. Clinging to control is like trying to hold water in a fist: the tighter you squeeze, the more you lose. And in that squeeze, you miss what truly matters. So that's why chasing control is crushing your confidence. The truth is, most of what you worry about isn't yours to change. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com What truly matters—your values, your mindset, your response—you can only BE. Let that sink in! In order to exude confidence, you need to take AIM: action ignites motivation. It's not about control; it's about the next step. "One step at a time leads to miles of greatness." ~ Kristianne Wargo Confidence flows from surrendering control over the uncontrollable and leaning into your own power. What actions can you take? What is your next step? What can you say to yourself to know you've got what it takes? So how do you step into solid confidence no matter what chaos swirls around you? The K.I.S.S. ~ Walk in confidence! Walking in confidence will weaken your grip on control because you are in motion, focused on the mission. Here are three moves to walk in confidence, regardless of your circumstances: 1. Own Your Story (Inner Narrative) Confidence begins with what you tell yourself. Instead of letting overwhelm run the show, catch your inner critic mid-rant. Reframe those runaway thoughts: Replace "I have to fix this or I'll fail" with "I am capable of handling what comes, one step at a time." When your day goes off script, say, "This doesn't define me. I'm bigger than this moment." Example: You miss a deadline at work and start spiraling. Stop. Tell yourself, "This is a bump, not a brick wall. I'll learn and do better next time." That shift rewires your brain from panic to presence. 2. Focus on What You Can Control—Your Actions & Attitude You can't control other people's reactions, the economy, or when your wifi dies. But you can control your next move and your mindset about it. Confidence grows when you invest energy where it counts, not where it's wasted. Example: Traffic is a nightmare, and you're already late. Instead of racking up stress, decide: "I'll call ahead to let them know," or "I'll use this moment to breathe and reset." You regain agency and refuse to let frustration steal your calm. 3. Practice Small Acts of Courage Daily Confidence isn't the absence of fear; it's the decision to act despite it. Start with tiny risks—speaking up in a meeting, setting a boundary, or tackling a task you've been avoiding. Every small win stacks up into a fortress of self-trust. Example: You've been hesitant to market your services. Today, you post one honest story about your work—and it feels vulnerable and uncomfortable. That action is a vote for your confidence, no matter the outcome. In Your Heart — Confidence Lives You cannot clutch the rivers' flow, Nor stop the winds that come and go. But in your hands, a sturdier thing— Your voice, your choice, the courage to spring. Release the grip that drains your light, Step out into your own strong sight. For confidence's quiet, steady art, Lives not in control—but in your heart. You don't have to wrestle the world to prove your worth. Walk tall by owning your story, acting with intention, and daring to show up—even when it's hard. That's real confidence. Create your now! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment 💍 The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury: (https://karenkingsbury.com) 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3869 You Are Mine
Romans 8:33 says, "Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies." This isn't a casual encouragement—it's a declaration that your worth, your standing, and your identity are locked in by the One who matters most. No accusation from others, no internal voice of doubt, can stand when God has said, "You are mine." Sarah Young nails this in Jesus Calling for Kids when she writes, "Don't be discouraged if your mind wanders away from Me. And don't accuse yourself of being a failure. Try to see yourself as I see you. I am thrilled by your deep desire to stay close to Me." Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Imagine—rather than beating yourself up over every stray thought and stumble, you stop and see yourself through God's eyes. You're not a mess to fix; you're a beloved child eager to walk closer. Life pushes and pulls, demanding we please everyone: family, neighbors, bosses, even strangers. It's a pressure cooker of expectations that can twist your thoughts into a battlefield. But here's the truth: the only opinion that holds eternal weight is God's. All the negative "what ifs" and harsh judgments crowd the corners of your mind, threatening to set up camp, but you don't have to make room for them. The K.I.S.S. ~ You are mine! So how do we refuse that toxic takeover? You gotta stop running on everyone else's agenda. You don't need to settle for resentment, guilt, or fear sneaking into your heart. When feelings or voices push you down, remind yourself that God is your defender—not you. When you feel the weight of condemnation—whether from within yourself or someone else—stop. Name God as your justification. Say it out loud if you must: "God has chosen me—no one else's charges stick." Step consistently in God's direction. It's not about perfection—it's about proximity. Walk in step with Him, tethered to the truth that your identity is secure. When your mind wanders, don't bash yourself; pull back gently and refocus on His acceptance and love. You have zero obligation to carry the burden of false accusations—whether from others or the harshest voice of all: your own. God decided your worth, and He stands unwavering beside you. Let that be your anchor. Cut off the corners where negativity tries to hide and claim space. You are justified. You are chosen. You are loved. You've got God's approval—it's time to create your now. 3868 Find Grounds for Marriage
Robert Anderson, a theologian from the early 20th century, once said, "In every marriage more than a week old, there are grounds for divorce. The trick is to find and continue to find grounds for marriage." If you look hard enough, you can find reasons to call it quits in almost any marriage. Missed expectations, disagreements, annoyances, boredom—the list goes on. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com It's easy to build a stacked case against staying together because we're wired to notice what's wrong or lacking. But here's the catch: that same attention to flaws, if left unchecked, can quietly sabotage the strongest unions. So why did Anderson focus on the "trick" of finding grounds for marriage? Because what keeps a marriage alive, even thriving, isn't ignoring the challenges or pretending everything is perfect. It's deliberately seeking out what makes the partnership worthwhile—what justifies the commitment day after day, year after year. Finding reasons to divorce? That's the easy part. Finding reasons to stay? That's the real work. What does finding grounds for marriage even mean? It means shifting your perspective from "What's wrong?" to "What's right? What remains? What can grow?" It's about spotting the moments, choices, and qualities that build connection and trust—even when the hard stuff shows up. It's reminding yourself what drew you here in the first place, and discovering new reasons to keep choosing each other. The K.I.S.S. ~ Discover new reasons to keep choosing each other! You might think this sounds almost naive. But it's not. It's practical and necessary. Marriages don't stay strong on autopilot. Without conscious effort, dissatisfaction breeds. And that's where the real danger lies. Three Things Spouses Can Do to Find Grounds for Marriage Celebrate Small Wins Together It's easy to overlook everyday kindnesses or strengths because they don't shout for attention. Instead of letting these moments slip by, make a habit of recognizing the small ways you support and appreciate each other. This habit rewires your attention from "problems" to "progress," keeping the positive momentum alive. Create Shared Goals and Meaning When the grind of life sets in, your relationship can start to feel like parallel worlds rather than a partnership. Building and revisiting joint aspirations—whether they're big dreams or simple rituals—grounds your connection. You're not just enduring together, you're moving forward with purpose. Practice Compassionate Communication Conflict is inevitable, but how you handle it defines your bond. Choosing curiosity over judgment and patience over impatience opens pathways to understanding instead of walls. Compassionate conversations remind you both why you're on the same team. The truth is, no marriage is perfect. Finding and cultivating reasons to stay isn't about ignoring flaws—it's about finding reasons that outweigh them. The "grounds for marriage" aren't just the big milestones but also the persistent everyday choices to value, respect, and build with your partner. So, what do you think? Is focusing on "grounds for marriage" a radical idea, or just common sense reframed? If your focus shifts from "Why should I leave?" to "Why should I stay?" you might be surprised at the strength you discover—both in your partner and in yourself. That's the real secret Anderson was pointing to. Divorce might always have reasons on its side, but marriage demands you find reasons too. Bold reasons that last. 3867 Don't Miss the Sweets
Parenting isn't just about teaching right from wrong or setting rules. It's about guiding our children on the path ahead—with patience, love, and encouragement. Yes, kids can fray your nerves and drain your energy. You're juggling school, activities, community commitments, and the endless to-do lists. But don't miss the sweets—the moments worth celebrating with your kids. Here's the hard truth: life doesn't have to be perfectly smooth for you to cheer on your children. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com In fact, that's when they need your encouragement the most. But when frustration creeps in, patience runs thin, and energy dips, the temptation is to miss those precious wins amid the noise. If you want to be the parent who balances teaching and training with loving and lifting, avoid missing the sweets. The K.I.S.S. ~ Avoid missing the sweets! Here are three things you can do right now to avoid missing the sweets. 1. Celebrate Small Wins—Out Loud and Often Too often, we wait for the "big moments" to praise our kids. Instead, celebrate the everyday successes: finishing homework without a fight, trying a new sport, sharing with a sibling, or even just showing kindness. Example: After school, instead of asking, "Did you get your homework done?" try, "I noticed how focused you were on your math today. That's awesome!" Praise specific behaviors, not just results. When you verbally highlight their effort and choices, you pump in positive energy that reinforces their best habits and builds confidence. 2. Schedule Mini Celebration Breaks When life gets hectic, carve out intentional pauses—not big productions—to just enjoy your child's company. These moments become your "sweet" spots. Example: Pick one day a week for a simple "celebration snack" together—like homemade cookies or fruit smoothies. Use this time to ask not about grades or chores, but what made them laugh today or what they're proud of. These breaks remind both of you that the relationship matters more than the endless grind. 3. Lead With Encouragement When Discipline Is Needed Tough lessons don't have to come wrapped in frustration or harsh words. You can hold boundaries and still fuel your child's self-esteem. Example: Instead of, "You never listen!" try, "I know you can handle this—let's figure out what will help you remember next time." When kids feel supported, even when corrected, they're more likely to embrace the lesson—and less likely to shut down. Parenting is hard work, no doubt. But if you become the parent who cheers and teaches, trains and encourages, you're giving your children a foundation they can't get anywhere else. Don't let the stress make you miss the sweetness right in front of you. You're not just raising kids—you're shaping who they will be. So take a breath and look for those "sweets" daily. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!" #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent 💍 The Christmas Ring by Karen Kingsbury: (https://karenkingsbury.com) 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3866 Be Who You Are Becoming
Change is not easy. But it's not necessarily about turning all of who we are upside down to be someone else either. Don't hide from yourself, waiting to be the one you think you're becoming.
