3734 Stop Making Everyone Happy

As a parent, it can feel like your entire job is to keep the peace. You want smiling kids, smooth mornings, and less grumbling behind closed doors. After all, isn’t that what a happy family looks like? But here’s the brutal truth: sometimes you have to stop making everyone happy. Because you won’t. Not your kids, not your partner, not even yourself, all the time. And that’s okay. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Why You’re Not Meant to Please Everyone The idea of a perfect family where everyone gets their way is a myth—a nice story we tell ourselves when the chaos settles for a moment. But real life? It’s messy. It’s uncomfortable sometimes. And that’s what raises kids who aren’t just surviving but thriving. What you really want are children who adapt to change, handle conflict with resilience, and realize the world doesn’t bend to their every whim. That means sometimes — many times — someone’s going to be disappointed or upset. That’s not your failure. That’s parenting. You were given the gift to parent; you get to decide how to parent well. The K.I.S.S. ~ Parent well! Parenting well comes with all sorts of challenges. You get many lows with few highs. Or do you? The way you parent well comes from how you show up, filled up with the best intentions. However, I must say that does not give a parent full rein to be a bully parent. This may or may not be you. But please hear me out. You have to be able to look at all sides of the stories you're told, and know the reality of what is happening, not the one you make up in your head. Yes, even parents tell themselves stories to make them feel like they are in the "right" in what they're doing. But if you question that, or someone who loves your children questions that, it is a good indication you should look a little closer at the situation.  The main thing here is to know your intentions as a parent and ensure they are in the best interest of the child, not for your convenience.  Three Ways to Maintain Peace Without Making Everyone Happy How do you keep a home that feels peaceful without turning into a constant "yes" machine? Here are three practical moves: 1. Set Non-Negotiables With Compassion Make clear what rules and values aren’t up for debate — bedtimes, kindness, respect. Stand firm, but explain why these matter. Kids feel safer when boundaries are consistent. They might grumble, but they appreciate knowing what’s rock solid beneath their feet. Further, your child can say "no." If you teach them that they cannot, you are silencing them, telling them that they are not worthy and do not matter. This is a disservice to anyone's child. A child deserves to be respected, too.  2. Validate Feelings Without Caving When tempers flare or tears come, acknowledge the emotions. “I see you’re upset because you wanted more screen time. That’s frustrating.” Validation doesn’t mean giving in — it means you’re listening. Feeling heard diffuses tension and builds trust, even if the answer stays “no.” Keep in mind, that doesn't mean you become a bully to your child. Be firm with love. And just because your parents did it, doesn't mean you should. Think twice! 3. Model Calm, Not Perfection No parent is a peace-keeping superhero 24/7. When you mess up or lose patience, own it out loud. Show them how to apologize and reset. Ask for forgiveness for what you did. This teaches kids resilience and emotional intelligence far better than any “perfect” family photo ever could. Stop Chasing Universal Happiness — Aim for Harmony Instead Parenting is the hardest job on earth, no doubt. You’ll have days you feel you’re on top of it — and days you want to throw in the towel. Trying to make everyone happy is not sustainable. Living for happiness is the quickest route to burnout. But seeking harmony? Now that’s sustainable. Harmony means balance, understanding, respect, unconditional love, and growth — even when it’s uncomfortable. You don’t need to be everyone’s hero or choreographer of perfect smiles. You need to be a parent who guides with unconditional love, strength, and clarity. That’s how you build a family grounded in peace — not perfection. Your child is not property; they are a human being created in the image of God, fearfully and wonderfully made. So, parent well! You’ve got clarity. Now it’s time for action. Stop chasing the impossible, stop making everyone happy, and start building harmony that lasts. Your family will share more smiles. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3733 Stop Being Mad At Yourself

Life doesn’t come with a smooth, predictable path. It’s full of twists, turns, and surprises that rarely match the plans we carefully craft in our heads. You make decisions, speak words, and take action hoping for the best. But when things don’t go your way—you know what happens. Stop being mad at yourself. As you already know, who bears the brunt of the disappointment? Too often... yep, it’s you—the harshest critic in the room. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Why We Turn Anger Inward It’s natural to feel frustrated when life derails your expectations. But turning that frustration into anger at yourself is a dead end. Anger slows you down, boiling over every mistake and extending the sting of things you cannot change. Instead of propelling you forward, it chains you to regret and self-condemnation. Life is rarely fair, and that’s just the raw truth.  The Real Way Forward  If you want to break free from this cycle, you need to stop being mad at yourself. This doesn’t mean ignoring your mistakes or failing to learn from them—it means refusing to let anger become your default. Nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes, and yes, you will make more. But those stumbles never equate to being "not good enough." That’s a damaging myth you must reject now. The K.I.S.S. ~ Stop being mad at yourself! Focus on What Matters  Pause and ask yourself: What truly deserves your energy? When you stand before the mirror, let your presence be calm and purposeful, not harsh or unruly. Your thoughts and words to yourself shape your mindset far more than any external circumstance. Remember: you were made for more. You were created on purpose, for a purpose.  Choose Your Energy Wisely  Every day grants you the choice of where to invest your emotional energy. Holding onto anger toward yourself won’t build success; it only adds weight to your setbacks. Instead, channel your strength into growth, resilience, and self-compassion — who you are and who you are becoming. Get Ready Stop being mad at yourself. You’ll be far more effective, motivated, and yes—radiantly “prettier”—when there’s less mud on your face and in your mind. Life’s challenges will keep coming, but your response will determine the story you tell—and the success you build. Show up for yourself today. You’ve got this. And God's got you! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3732 Stop Comparing Yourself

Let’s be brutally real: these days, it’s next to impossible to not scroll through your feed and wish you were somewhere else, someone else, doing what they do. Comparison is a trap. It’s a dark quicksand that pulls you under—sapping your confidence, hijacking your joy, and holding you back from the healthy, fulfilled life you deserve. So here’s your wake-up call: stop comparing yourself. News flash: You are made for more. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Not to undersell yourself or settle for what you “think” you should be worth. Life is precious—a limited resource that demands you show up fully, honor your own journey, and speak your own truth. The soil of your heart deserves nurturing, not weeds of envy and doubt. But what happens when you live in the spirit of comparison? For anyone plugged into social media—Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, TikTok, Pinterest—this spirit doesn’t just knock, it moves in. Every scroll, every double-tap, every pause on someone’s highlight reel seeds a dangerous question: “Why am I not them?” These platforms are engineered to spotlight what you lack. It’s not a glitch; it’s their business model. When you feed on the curated perfection of others, the narrative rewires your brain to focus on your supposed shortcomings. Think about the last time you opened social media with a purpose. Most times, we just scroll—mindlessly, endlessly—feeding the machine that fuels comparison. And suddenly, hope gets replaced by "not enough." Ambition transforms into paralysis. It’s a hard pill, but one you must swallow to move forward. When it comes to healthy living, this poison is even more deadly. If your idea of wellness is modeled entirely on social media gurus, influencers, or viral “miracle” diets, you’re on shaky ground. That’s comparison, plain and simple — and it doesn’t serve your body or your mind. Your health isn’t a one-size-fits-all viral trend. It’s personal, sacred, and deserves your unique commitment. So stop! The K.I.S.S. ~ Stop comparing yourself! Quit watering the weeds of what you don’t have, and start cultivating the garden of who you really are. What you plant and fertilize will grow. Want something different? You have to do something different. That means changing the mental diet you consume every day. It means smashing the comparison cycle and planting seeds of self-trust, action, and authenticity. 3 Actions to Extinguish the Spirit of Comparison and Tune Into Your Heart 1. Practice Social Media Discipline: Own your time, don’t let it own you. Set strict boundaries for social scrolling. Use social platforms with intention—no aimless scrolling allowed. Try scheduling 10 minutes a day max or use apps that block distracting feeds. Remember: what you consume mentally shapes your reality.  2. Create a “Self-Respect Ritual” Daily: This could be journaling three things you actually accomplished that day, affirming your unique strengths, or setting clear, personal goals that aren’t tied to anyone else’s timeline. Make it non-negotiable. This recharges your mindset and weeds out toxic comparison noise.  3. Celebrate Your Own Progress Relentlessly: Comparison kills momentum. Instead, track your wins, no matter how small. Progress is success—even if it looks different from someone else’s. Own your pace. Own your path. Be your own fan, not your own judge. Let me level with you: Comparison isn’t just a habit. It’s a silent addiction to distraction and dissatisfaction. If you want a better life, you have to dig deeper, plant your roots firmly, and stop feeding that hungry, destructive spirit.  You’ve got this.  Now it’s time to stop comparing yourself, stop looking left and right. Look forward, look inside—and go create your now. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #WellnessWednesday #CreateYourNow #HealthAndWellness 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3731 Stop Missing Your Life

We all do it. We rush, we hustle, we plan every minute of every day—always looking backwards or forwards, never fully rooted in the now. Reflecting on where we’ve been, obsessing over where we’re going, while the present moment quietly slips away. Yet, deep down, we know: Being present is what really matters. So stop missing your life. Imagine what your life would look like if you didn't have every second of every day planned? Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Would you have more freedom? Would it drive you crazy because every second is not planned? Or do you really not care; you handle what's right in front of you constantly?  Today, I want to encourage you to breathe and stop missing your life. Seriously, do something that you haven't done in a while: sit and take in all that is around you. Last night I was cooking out on the grill. The gray skies were moving in as the wind began to pick up. I knew I needed to get the steaks on if dinner was going to be at least halfway decent. You can't have fresh corn on the cob and baked potatoes without some yummy steaks! Well, in the quickness of the minutes, I chose to sit outside and watch the clouds roll in. I enjoyed watching how the smoke moved swiftly from one side of the Kamado Grill to the other. Nothing was more spectacular than experiencing change in the moment. What if you would slow down enough so you could speed up later when needed? The K.I.S.S. ~ Stop missing your life! You don't have to wait for the craziness to dissipate. In fact, if you do, then you'll say goodbye to a day before you said hello. So be brave in a magnificent way. Take a moment to appreciate all the beautiful things around you. Maybe it's sitting poolside or reading a book on the couch.  Maybe it's hugging your children just because you can. Maybe it's enjoy a brisk walk in the humid morning. Pause for a moment. Take it all in. Listen to the silence humming beneath the noise. Presence reveals beauty you didn’t see before. Today, instead of missing your life, show up full and ready. This is your moment to shine—not by doing more, but by simply being. Stop missing your life. It’s waiting. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #Inspiration #CreateYourNow #DailyMotivation 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3730 Stop Being A Goldfish

Do you ever feel like your attention span is shorter than that of a goldfish? In a world filled with distractions, it can be challenging to stay focused on what truly matters. But it's time to break free from the cycle of mindless scrolling and endless to-do lists. It's time to stop being a goldfish. Life moves quickly, often leaving us feeling like our attention span is as fleeting as a goldfish's - about 9 seconds. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com With technology pulling us one way and family obligations tugging us another, it's easy to get lost in a sea of distractions. The average human attention span of 8 seconds may not differ much from that of a goldfish, highlighting the need to reassess how we prioritize our focus. While goldfish may seem forgetful creatures, studies show that they possess remarkable memory capabilities. Just as goldfish can recall specific tasks over time, we too can train our minds to prioritize what truly matters and navigate life's maze of distractions. By recognizing the parallels between our attention spans and those of goldfish, we can appreciate the importance of intentional focus and memory in shaping our daily experiences. So, let's break free from the cycle of fleeting attention spans and embrace the power of focused intention in achieving our dreams and goals. The K.I.S.S. ~ Embrace the power of focused intention! You can consider the bare basics of intentionality by setting SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound), practicing mindfulness, and creating a distraction-free zone to focus. All of these are obvious. But I want you to go a little deeper. 1. Seek Mentorship and Accountability: Surround yourself with mentors, coaches, or a supportive community that can provide guidance, feedback, and accountability on your journey towards achieving your goals. Engaging with individuals who share your values and aspirations can offer new perspectives, motivation, and encouragement, helping you stay intentional and committed to your growth and success. 2. Gratitude and Intentions Rituals: Start and end each day with a gratitude and intentions ritual to set a positive tone and purposeful direction for your day. Expressing gratitude for what you have and setting intentions for what you wish to achieve can shift your mindset towards abundance and clarity, fostering a deeper sense of purpose and fulfillment in your pursuits. 3. Journaling and Reflection: Incorporate regular journaling and reflection practices into your routine to gain insights into your thoughts, emotions, and progress towards your goals. By writing down your reflections, challenges, and breakthroughs, you can identify patterns, set intentions, and deepen your self-awareness, ultimately guiding you towards intentional actions aligned with your aspirations. I want you to think about what works for you. Because what I know about you — you are not a goldfish looking at the world from the world's perspective. You have gifts and talents to share with the world you touch, your family and friends, your community, and your church. Be intentionally and attentive to who you are and who you are becoming.  You are made for more. Create your now! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #MindsetMonday #CreateYourNow #PersonalDevelopment 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3729 Stop Going In The Wrong Direction

In our journey of faith, we are constantly faced with choices that either draw us closer to God or lead us astray. The Bible teaches us to "Do not turn to the right or left; keep your foot from evil" (Proverbs 4:27), reminding us to stay on the path of righteousness and refrain from behaviors that distance us from God's loving presence. Stop going in the wrong direction. To live a life that reflects God's desires for us, we must first identify and resist temptations that lead us to sin. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com It's essential to cultivate self-awareness and discernment, recognizing when we are being lured away from God's will. By turning to prayer, Scripture, and seeking wisdom from mentors, we can strengthen our resolve to resist sin and choose righteousness. Living a life that pleases God entails embodying virtues such as love, kindness, compassion, and humility. True happiness, as envisioned by God, is not merely about fleeting pleasures or worldly successes, but about cultivating a heart that reflects His love and grace. It involves placing our trust in Him, surrendering our will to His, and striving to live in accordance with His teachings. The K.I.S.S. ~ Stop going in the wrong direction! Practically, embodying God's values involves daily acts of love, generosity, forgiveness, and service to others. It means treating our neighbors with respect, showing compassion to those who are marginalized, and practicing humility in our interactions. By imitating the character of Christ and allowing His Spirit to work in and through us, we can become beacons of light in a world in need of hope and healing. Maybe you are in need of hope and healing. Are you finding yourself being more of a fool and looking back on what God has already forgiven you for? It's all too easy for us to get trapped in where we came from, what happened in the past, and why we didn't do what we should have. But could we have done it differently? Who knows? Well, God knows this. As Paul wrote in Philippians 3:13-14, 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14) Are you willing to turn around and go God's way? Stop going in the wrong direction. That's what God wants you to learn. Ask for forgiveness, and press on. Ultimately, aligning your will with God's involves a conscious choice to prioritize your relationship with Him above all else. It requires ongoing commitment, self-reflection, and a willingness to surrender your desires to His higher purpose. As you strive to walk in His ways and live out His values, you can experience the abundant life that He has promised and find true fulfillment in following His path of love and grace. And that, my friend, will have you going in God's direction! "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #SweetSpirit #CreateYourNow #SoulfulSunday 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3728 Look How Far You've Come

Marriage is a journey that evolves over time, from the initial spark of dating to the intricate tapestry of navigating careers, raising a family, and weathering life's storms together. It's easy to get caught up in the daily grind and forget to pause and reflect; take a moment to look how far you've come. Doing life together is better, but it does require a significant amount of work. Even though the work is worth it, you won't know it unless you take time to reflect and look how far you've come. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Think back to things that drove you crazy. Yet, as you've matured and grown individually and as a couple, you see what drove you crazy as a little quirk that you now giggle about. Life is too short to fret about all the things. There are definitely things that should and will concern you. But not all the things. Otherwise, you are going to drive yourself crazy for sure. However, you don't have to be like everyone else. You can view your spouse through the lens of unconditional love. That will bring you to the point where you can celebrate how far you've come. The K.I.S.S. ~ Celebrate how far you've come! If you don't, no one will. In fact, why not do it every year? Imagine what that would do for your relationship and bond together. You could see the good, the bad, and the ugly with a different perspective now that you're on the other side. It might be something that all of us need to try. Here are three ways to celebrate how far you've come as partners and to cherish the blessings amidst the challenges. 1. Reflect on Milestones: Take a trip down memory lane by revisiting significant moments in your relationship. Whether it's your first date, the day you got engaged, or a memorable vacation, reminiscing about these milestones can reignite the spark and remind you of the bond you share. Create a scrapbook, watch old videos, or simply sit down and share your favorite memories with each other. 2. Acknowledge Growth: Marriage is a journey of growth and self-discovery. Reflect on how you have both evolved as individuals and as a couple. Have you overcome challenges together? Have you developed new hobbies or interests? Acknowledge the progress you've made, both individually and as partners, and celebrate the ways in which you have supported each other's growth. 3. Express Gratitude: Take a moment to express gratitude for your partner and the journey you've shared together. Write a heartfelt letter, plan a surprise date night, or simply say "thank you" for the little things they do. Gratitude can deepen your connection and remind you of the blessings in your life, even amidst the chaos of everyday responsibilities. Life is a beautiful journey, and marriage is a testament to the strength of love and commitment. By taking the time to look back and appreciate how far you've come as a couple, you can find renewed joy and appreciation for the remarkable bond you share. Embrace the journey, celebrate the milestones, and cherish the moments that have brought you closer together. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #RelationshipBuilders #CreateYourNow #LoveAndMarriage 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3727 Love More Than You Complain

Raising kids is a party every day. You can do everything right, only to get most of it wrong. Yes, it's that unfair. But what is really unfair is when parents seem to fuss nonstop about anything and everything. Even with a little less exaggeration, love more than you complain. As parents, we should want what's best for our kids, but it can't come at the expense of their self-esteem and confidence. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com Our children need to know that their accomplishments and achievements don't outweigh their presence. Who they are matters, not necessarily what they do. Think about it this way: If you were told that your child would be the President of the United States, and they ended up being an electrician, would you treat them differently since they didn't get what was theirs to have? Disappointments from our children come in many shapes and sizes, from their reckless decisions to not winning their games. But why do we get caught up in that? Have you ever thought about what your child wants? Now, yes, age and stage matter. A two-year-old will not know what they like/need like a fourteen-year-old would. However, it's not our job to "force" or strongly encourage them to do one thing over the next. Don't you want what your child wants for them? If that's you, then you gotta love more than you complain. The K.I.S.S. ~ Love more than you complain! And that complaining sounds very different to us than it does to our children. We might think we are encouraging and cheering them on to the next thing. But sometimes, all they hear is, "You gotta get this." Pleasing parents comes at a cost, too. And it's not usually to the parents. The children take it personally and then hide it in their hearts, which either helps them or significantly weighs them down.  Therefore, being mindful of how your child responds to your communication is crucial. And if you have more than one child, you need to know that one size does not fit all! 1. Practice Gratitude: Instead of focusing on what your child is not doing or achieving, take time each day to express gratitude for who they are and the unique qualities they possess. Celebrate their individuality and strengths. Tell them you are thankful for them. You are grateful that you get to be their mom or dad. 2. Effective Communication: Instead of resorting to constant complaints or criticisms, open up a dialogue with your child. Ask more questions rather than forcing your ideas down their throats. Listen to their thoughts and feelings without judgment. Understanding their perspective can strengthen your bond and foster a more positive relationship. You get to know who they are and who they are becoming.  3. Celebrate Small Wins: Rather than solely emphasizing big accomplishments or milestones, recognize and celebrate the small victories your child achieves each day. Whether it's completing a homework assignment or showing kindness to a friend, acknowledging their efforts can boost their confidence and self-worth. Notice what they do every day, not just the big stuff along the way. Parenting is a balancing act between guiding your children towards success and nurturing their emotional well-being. By choosing to love more than you complain, you create a foundation of understanding, acceptance, and support that empowers your children to grow into confident, compassionate individuals. Let's remember that our children's worth is not measured by their accomplishments, but by the love and kindness they bring into the world. "Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"   #ConfessionsOfAnUpsetMama #CreateYourNow #TodaysParent 🔔 Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? 3725 Maybe You're Supposed to Feel Stuck

Healthy living is a lifestyle, and unfortunately, life doesn't come with a manual. How can you juggle everything and fail at nothing? When seasons keep you stranded and the feelings of unaccomplishment drown out the hope, maybe you're supposed to feel stuck. And not in a manner that holds you back, but one that propels you forward. Desire to be supported and encouraged by other like-minded women? Join us at the Kairos FREE Online Community. https://createyournow.com You see, the feeling of being stuck doesn't come from what you don't know. You're stuck because of what you know. You want something that you know you should have and goals to be reached; however, it does not come without a cost. The same goes for healthy living. You know what you need to do. But in the season that you're in, sometimes it's not about what you know, it's about what you don't do. How backwards our life can be when we try and figure out all the nitty-gritty of how we want to live. Then...life happens! You can choose to live in your excuses, or accept where you are so you can move forward. And maybe that's why you're supposed to feel stuck. It might be the kick in the pants to realize you've got what it takes. What's lacking are the actions. The K.I.S.S. ~ Take A.I.M.! What can you do today to mute what doesn't matter, and magnify what does? Here are some more suggestions for taking meaningful and deep actions in your healthy living journey: 1. Cultivate Social Connection: Nurture meaningful relationships and social connections by engaging in activities that foster community, support, and a sense of belonging. Joining a fitness group, attending wellness workshops, volunteering in your community, or participating in group classes can not only enhance your social support network but also provide opportunities for personal growth, connection, and shared experiences that enrich your overall well-being. 2. Practice Mind-Body Techniques: Explore mind-body practices such as yoga, meditation, tai chi, or mindfulness to cultivate awareness, relaxation, and inner balance; the harmony that allows you to be present. These practices can help you tune into your body's signals, reduce stress, enhance mental clarity, and foster a deeper connection between your mind, body, and spirit. Incorporating mind-body techniques into your routine can complement your physical health efforts and promote a holistic approach to well-being. 3. Set Intentions and Reflect Regularly: Take time to set meaningful intentions for your health journey and reflect regularly on your progress, challenges, and achievements. Setting intentions clarifies your goals and motivates you to take purposeful actions towards them, while reflection allows you to gain insights, learn from experiences, and adjust your approach as needed. By consciously setting intentions and reflecting on your journey, you can cultivate a sense of purpose, direction, and growth in your pursuit of healthy living. Life does not have to be so complicated and confusing. Maybe you're supposed to feel stuck, so you know that you have what it takes to get you to where you want to go and live your healthy life!
