Desire Points the Way, But Commitment Gets It Done
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM609_Desire_Points_the_Way.mp3
We live in a world where all the resources we need to be successful are already here—even if we don’t currently see them with our eyes. We have an amazing ability to manifest resources. Anything we can “see” in our mind can be created in our physical world. This is the closest you can get to “magic” or alchemy. Everything we’ve ever created first started as an image inside someone’s mind. Yet, certain ideas are passed down to us generationally that make us believe success is hard—and that we don’t have access to unseen resources. For almost 25 years, I’ve worked with hundreds of business owners. I’ve learned that the #1 thing that causes failure is people’s ability to commit to what’s necessary. Commitment is the missing piece that allows you to create whatever you desire in life. In order to commit to something, you have to trust yourself—and self-trust is often fractured because of something that happened during our childhood. In this episode you’ll learn: Success is based on cause and effect (not luck or magic)—and all success is built on being consistent in your behavior, skills, and making forward progressHow I helped people think accurately during COVID, and maneuver their way through unique challenges, so that they could come out relatively unscathed on the other sideHow I created “The Elite Mind 90 Day Program” to show my clients how to consistently build trust with themselves to follow through on their commitmentsMost people don’t realize what controls their behavior; they get locked into a subconscious pattern or idea that keeps them “safe” in the worldMost adults walk around, unconsciously wanting somebody else to give them permission, because they never made THEMSELVES the authority of their own lifeTo have a solid commitment, you need 2 things: desire and trust How many times have you said you’re going to do something and then you didn’t do it? Ask yourself, “What am I consistent with and what am I not consistent with?” To have success, you have to be able to trust yourself and trust the direction you’re going. In order to trust life, you have to be okay with the changes life brings you. Your ability to consistently follow through on things determines how successful you’ll be.

Is Life Really Hard, or Are We Missing Something?
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM608_Is_Life_Really_Hard.mp3
Many people believe success—and life itself—are supposed to be hard. But is this really true? Humans have associated success with the “hard work” ethic—an idea that has been passed down to us through the lineage of our ancestors for thousands of years. But I think we’ve bought into a false idea that success has to be harder than it actually is. If we want to know the truth about something, all we need to do is look at nature. Nature has an amazing flow and perfection to it. And humans’ ideas about success being “hard” contradicts nature. Success is simply about doing things in the right way and having a strong foundation in yourself. here’s no luck or chance involved with success—it’s about doing things in a very certain way, based on cause and effect. Success is easier than we think. In this episode I share: How I’ve always had a kinship with nature that started when I was a childHow, as a child, I noticed that life was hard for people—and it left me with questions like, “Are we just missing something? What’s true about life? Why are we here? What are we supposed to do? Do we have a purpose and a destiny?”How we unconsciously accept beliefs that are passed down to us from other people without ever questioning whether or not they’re trueHow human beings are susceptible to answers that aren’t trueThe hardest question for any human being to answer—“What do you want?”—and how the voices in your head will tell you it’s not okay to want what you wantWhy time and money aren’t real obstacles (that’s just an illusion)Why people believe desiring money is bad—yet the desire to have money is really the desire to master life’s resources so that we can move forward If we’re ever uncertain about whether something is true, we can always look at nature and ask, “Do we see this in nature?” What do we want to accept as a truth for ourselves?

Reframe What You Can Afford
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM607_Reframe_What_You_Can_Afford.mp3
Many people would love to do certain things in their life, but they believe they can’t afford to do them. Recently I overheard a conversation where most of the people were talking as if they can’t afford to live the life that they want. I frequently run into people who tell me about the things they’d love to do, and they just don’t have the money to do it. If you’ve ever found yourself talking like that, this episode is for you. It’s all about getting yourself to think differently about the position you think you’re stuck in. In today’s episode you’ll learn: How to break through the limitation of what most people believe their life has to beWhy achieving an above average level of wealth is actually very easyWhat would happening if you could make 50% more income—and why you’re much closer to this than you probably realizeEarning money is a skill set—it’s not tied to luck, chance, a job, or what other people think of youWhy most people have an underlying sense of vulnerability and even anxiety, because their welfare hangs on someone else paying them (e.g., a job)What your life could be like if you weren’t strapped to the hip of someone else, or tied to an income that doesn’t give you what you truly want

Student Spotlight: Rosanne Austin
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM606_RoseaneAustin.mp3
Today I’m speaking with my client, Rosanne Austin, creator of the Fearlessly Fertile Method. Formerly a prosecutor turned fertility coach, Rosanne helps women struggling with fertility issues improve their mindset, so they can finally get—and stay—pregnant. Before that, she prosecuted sexual assault cases. Her goal is to help 100,000 women get and stay pregnant in the next ten years. She helps women let go of guilt and shame, while allowing themselves to have exactly what they want in life. Desiring to have a baby, at the age of 37, Rosanne was told by medical professionals that, “There’s no hope for you,” and that she needed donor eggs. She rejected what the “white coats” were telling her, and decided to follow the internal voice inside of her. Rosanne tried to “pound the problem with medicine”—driving hundreds of miles a week to get IVF treatments at a top hospital. She took all the right supplements, had an immaculate diet, and still nothing worked. Finally she realized, “The problem was me.” Somehow along the way, she had picked up the idea that “having a baby in your late 30s is hard.” She also discovered internal beliefs that were preventing her from having a child. Once she changed these beliefs about herself, she was able to have a baby boy. In this episode, Rosanne and I discuss: Her journey to become pregnantHer “rock bottom” moment when she realized there was nowhere else for her to go, except to look inwardWhy Rosanne decided to coach with me, and what her biggest transformation and learning wasWhy she started going after what she truly wanted—including buying two Rolex watches, Chanel bags, and other beautiful thingsHow Rosanne used her miscarriage as a catalyst to tell herself, “I know something bigger is coming for me”—and how she finally had a healthy son at age 43 “I was more fertile in my 40s than I was in my 30s because of the way I was thinking,” Rosanne says.

Manipulating Perception: What Do You Believe You See?
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM605_What_Do_You_Believe_You_See.mp3
The Netflix documentary Making a Murderer brought the Steven Avery murder trial into the public spotlight. Viewers were outraged, believing Avery was falsely convicted. But was he actually guilty? Some key facts were left out of the series that point to his guilt. This raises important questions about how documentaries can manipulate our perception of guilt and innocence. In the US legal system, you’re innocent until proven guilty. When you serve on a jury, you must assume the defendant is innocent until the state proves guilt beyond reasonable doubt. However, our minds can be easily manipulated depending on how information is presented. My own experience serving jury duty showed how indignant jurors became in their judgements, regardless of the actual evidence. Making a Murderer left out critical evidence against Avery. Another documentary, Convicting a Murderer, highlights what was omitted and makes a strong case for his guilt. Watching both films back-to-back is an interesting exercise in seeing how your mind can be swayed. At first Avery seems wrongly convicted. But the full facts paint a very different picture. In this episode, I discuss: My recent experience with being called to jury duty—which was both fascinating and horrifying for me to witnessHow my fellow jurors’ reasons for believing something had nothing to do with the evidence of the case—and they were indignant about it How people complete a picture in their mind that’s false—and they end up putting innocent people in prisonHow it’s very difficult to change a person’s mind, once they’ve made their mind up about somethingThe 2015 Netflix series, Making a Murderer, about a Wisconsin man who was falsely accused of murder, served 18 years in prison, and was released after DNA evidence overturned his conviction Talented filmmakers can control the narrative and make anyone appear guilty or innocent to suit their agenda. This shows the importance of looking at all evidence yourself before making judgements.

A Conversation with Rod Khleif
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM604_Rod_Khleif.mp3
Today my guest is Rod Khleif, who made $50 million in real estate, lost it, then made it back again. Born in the Netherlands, Rod immigrated to the US at age six with his brother and mother. Growing up in Denver, Colorado, his family didn’t have much. They shopped for groceries at an expired food store, and wore clothes from Goodwill and the Salvation Army. “We really struggled, but I knew I wanted more,” he says. At age 18 Rod said, “Screw college.” He got his real estate license and made $8000 during his first year; $10,000 his second year, and over $100,000 his third year (which back in 1980 was “some pretty decent change”). What happened between year two and year three that caused Rod to 10X his income? The answer has to do with mindset and psychology—both of which impact 80% to 90% of your success in anything you do, Rod says. In this episode, we discuss: His mom’s incredible work ethic and her own success in investingHow Rod has owned over 2000 houses and thousands of apartment units (in 2006, his net worth went up $17 million while he slept)—he thought was “a real estate God—and when that happens, the God of the universe will give you a nice little smack-down”How he lost $50 million in 2008-2009The mindset it takes not only to make $50 million, but to recover from losing thatHow there’s incredible opportunity coming today—and everything, including real estate, is going on saleWhy you should “pick your vehicle (for wealth) now and learn it as fast as possible, but don’t tie your identity to your vehicle—“If your vehicle fails, that’s fine. You’re not a failure.”Why we must be either “all in” or “all out” in our decisions “The world needs leaders more than ever right now,” says Rod. “It’s important to pay attention to what you bring in, and focus your mindset in the right direction. Be careful who you allow to influence you. Get around people that want more out of life. Wherever your focus goes, energy flows.” It’s important to have goals, especially in this economic environment. You have to know what you want and why you want it. Create a hunger in yourself, so you can push through fear and limiting beliefs.

Unshakable Foundations: Diving Deep into Faith – Part II
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM603_Unshakable_Foundations_Part_II.mp3
Here’s an important truth that will help you move through any problem that you appear to be stuck in: The “problem” is never the problem. The only “problem” you have is a lack of vision. The Bible says, “Without vision, the people will perish.” This has to do with the idea of “faith.” Having a vision allows you to see past the problem, by using your “inner eye.” Ecclesiastes 10:19 says money is the answer to everything—because if we have enough money to deal with the problems in our life, then we won’t be forced to deal with them at the level of the problem. We can pay other people to handle and resolve those problems for us. In this episode I discuss: How people get stuck in “the illusion of choice”How most people grew up in an environment where nobody encouraged them to cultivate a vision for their life—so they just did whatever school, parents, or teachers told them to doWhy you must have a vision—because without a vision, any “problem” you experience will pull you down to the level of the problem and force you to fight that problem at that levelWhy your vision should be big and bright enough to cause expansion—so that it creates an internal “pull” in you that moves your life forwardHow all success is based on the principle of consistency—i.e., doing the right things over time in order to get the results you wantWhy you must get rid of the contradictions and “I’m supposed to’s”—and stop listening to people who don’t inspire you and who aren’t actually trying to help you move forward When you have the right vision, this creates faith. Faith gives you the courage to move through things that are difficult. The vision gives you inspiration. It gets you out of bed every morning to go after the thing you truly want.

Unshakable Foundations: Diving Deep into Faith – Part I
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM602_Unshakable_Foundations_Part_I.mp3
In order to become successful, you must have a strong understanding of “faith.” I don’t mean “religious faith,” where you just accept whatever ideas were taught and passed down to you; nor do I mean an intellectualized idea of faith. I’m talking about “active faith,” which moves mountains. Active faith is one of the most essential mindset ideas, principles, and techniques that you can use to create the success you want in life. This type of faith does things that the average person would be astounded by. All the comforts of modern-day society came out of people having faith and a belief in something that didn’t exist yet. They had faith in a direction they wanted to go. People today constantly complain about, and take for granted things that didn’t even exist during our great grandparents’ lives. In today’s episode you’ll learn: How our perception of success influences what we actually see in our daily lifeSuccess does not come down the mountain to meet you—it’s always at the top of the mountainThe voice you listen to in your mind is the voice you believe and have faith inThe 2 things you must know if you want to be successful (where you are, and where you’re going)You cannot be where you are and go where you want to be without stepping in and becoming something different—you must growIn order to grow, you have to expand your environment, meaning that you need new information, new challenges, and usually new peopleWhy the idea of “starting at the bottom and working your way up to the top” is incorrect—because success can’t “see” you when you’re at the bottom; you have to lift yourself upYou can’t get to where you want to go by staying where you are In today’s world, you can’t escape the negativity that’s everywhere. Faith is the ability to move forward, regardless of fear and negative voices in your head. Faith allows you to overcome the voices of doubt, worry, fear, “there’s not enough,” and the idea that we can’t move forward. Faith is something that’s heard—and when we hear it, it’s usually coming from the voice inside of ourselves. What do you have faith in?

A Conversation with David Meltzer
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM601_DavidMeltzer.mp3
Today my guest is David Meltzer, who is known for how much he gets done in a day. He’s an amazing entrepreneur involved with various TV shows. Even my mentor, Bob Proctor, once asked David how he gets so much done. David’s goal is to empower over a billion people to be happy. In this episode, David and I have an eye-opening conversation that shatters the illusion of “24 hours” being a limitation in our life. Most people believe time is limited, but David says time is infinite—we just need to focus on it and use it in the right way. We can think about the “trajectory” of where we want to go and use our time in a manner that gets us there—including giving meaning to our past in a way that’s aligned with that trajectory. We discuss: How David gets so much done and how he manages his various activities each dayHis thoughts on productivity (paying attention to how much value we’re giving to each minute and hour), accessibility (how we can access skills, knowledge and desire to compound and accelerate the outcomes we want), and gratitude (how we can “find the light, love, and lessons” in everything, including the past)The difference between successful people who do tons of amazing things in 24 hours; versus those who can’t figure out how to make their bed (it’s a matter of prioritization)Why you shouldn’t let your mistakes destroy your credibility—and how “the truth vibrates the fastest”How to effectuate big goals by having daily practicesHow David constructs his day with planned & unplanned activities, sleep, activities he gets paid for, and activities he doesn’t get paid forHow “unplanned time” is important for times when things don’t go as planned—so you can reprioritize your dayHow to be accountable in 3 realms by saying, “I’m responsible,” “I learned this,” “I attracted this,” and, “I participated in the perception of this”The “biochemical doggy biscuit” we get from giving, receiving, and witnessing others giving and receiving—and why we should ask for help when we need itDavid says, “You cannot feel overwhelmed or procrastinate if you know what to do now and know what to do next. And that’s a matter of prioritization.” To get a free, signed copy of David’s book, email him at david@DMELTZER.com

The Anatomy of Belief: How to Build an Invincible Mindset
https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM600_BuildingBelief.mp3
In my industry, I do speaking, I coach and train people, I’m an author, I do seminars and workshops, and lots of other things. Underlying all of this, I have a fascination with the word “believe.” What does it mean to have belief in something? Belief is the internal power of your own spiritual force to be able to be, do and have what you want in life. In the Bible, it basically says, “If you believe it (if you have faith), you can move a mountain.” In biblical times, the word “believe” was taken very seriously. In modern times, we use the word much more loosely. Have we lost the power behind what belief really is? What do you have to believe, so that you can “move a mountain” in your life? And how do you create that belief? In today’s episode you’ll learn: How to build a belief and how to use it to manifest what you want out of life Whether or not you have belief is indicated by whether you have the results you want We’re all here to “move the mountain”—and that mountain is different for all of us; we have to change certain things about ourselves in order to be able to move the mountain Being worthy is part of believing—worthiness comes from believing God put you here for a specific purpose We all have very specific desires that lead us in specific directions in our life We can create our own life, or we can destroy it—but it all starts with belief Doubt, concern, and worry don’t exist when you have belief—because you 100% believe with your whole being that you’re going to do something (you don’t question it) The first question to ask yourself is always, “What do you want?” Know that God is on your side. The universe is on your side, and it wants you to win. What do you believe? And are you willing to build the belief inside of yourself to create the life you desire?
