The Process I Use to Solve Any Problem

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_635.mp3   How do you handle problems in your life? Most people look only at the circumstances they’re experiencing, without realizing they can use their imagination to create a new result. In the early 1990s I experienced a problem: I lost my job, my car was repossessed, and I couldn’t find work other than a laborer’s position. I had no education. We were on food stamps. We filed for bankruptcy, because that seemed like the only option. Because I was looking at my problem based on my circumstances, this caused me to be stuck in a situation where bankruptcy seemed like the only way out. What I didn’t know was, there was another way of viewing my problem. If I had changed the way I was THINKING about the problem, I could have avoided bankruptcy, changed the situation, and turned everything around on a dime. Years later, after I’d started a business, I ran into a much bigger problem. Someone embezzled a large amount of money from our company, while taking my email list. That was a WORSE situation to be in, than my original problem in the 1990s. However, I solved this problem and turned it around quickly without going bankrupt again. How did I do that? What was different? In this episode you’ll learn: The way you view the world affects your ability to solve problemsWe’re creative beings, and we can use our imagination to solve problems in a completely different wayYou don’t have to be limited by the data, facts, or circumstances of your problems—there’s always another wayIf you’re stuck in a victim mindset, you won’t believe you have the power to create anything—because you’ll think everybody else has the powerHow the Law of Polarity can help you solve any problemHow to use your imagination to create any image or idea in your mind and “hold” that image, so that you can create the result you want Plus, I share an exercise you can use to ask your subconscious mind for help solving any problem. Once you decide that you’re a creator—you can CREATE your way out of any situation. Whenever you catch yourself hyper focusing on one side of something (like a problem), remind yourself to focus on the truth—there’s another side to it; there’s a solution to it, according to the law of Polarity. The Mind-Money Connection

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_634.mp3   The mind-money connection can help you significantly increase your income beyond your wildest imagination, especially if you own a business or you’re in sales. Most people have the wrong “connection” in their mind when it comes to money. In other words, they think about money the wrong way. They think money is difficult to earn, and they don’t understand that there’s an abundance of it. Because of this, they stay stuck at a certain financial set point for most of their life. Even though everyone on the planet has the ability to become a millionaire, very few people ever do so. This is because of the mind-money connection. In this episode you’ll learn: How the environment you were raised in suggests that everything outside of you—parents, teachers, bosses, things, circumstances—all have power over you, and you don’t have any power (someone else is always in charge of moving you to the next level)Why we must flip this idea in our mind—and realize that WE have the power; we can make however much money we wantYou have the power to create your own economy and income, and determine how much money make; you get to decide whether money is easy or difficultHow business owners often wait for “permission” from the client or customer before making the sale—and once again, this puts their power in someone else’s handsHow you can work hard, perfect your numbers, and master the sales scripts—but if you don’t change the energy and dynamic of your money, you’ll end up with mediocre results (because you haven’t made the mind-money connection)Why you must see yourself as the expert and present yourself professionally and powerfully, as if you can solve someone’s problem or make their life better (regardless of what you sell)The 2 kinds of buyers—those who value saving money and getting the best deal; and those who are willing to pay more for value (which one are you?) Once you make the mind-money connection, everything begins to change. Realize that YOU’RE in the power position for your life, not someone else. Instead of looking at business through the lens of, “Who will work with me?” or “Who will buy from me?”—ask yourself, “Who do I want to work with? Who is my ideal client? Who can benefit the most from what I offer?” Episode 276 – Change Your Money Mindset Episode 497 – Insider Secrets to Creating Consistent Cashflow – Part II Episode 584 – The Link Between Control and Impatience If you like the show, would you be so kind as to leave us a short review on Apple Podcasts? The Art of Conscious Decision-Making

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_633.mp3   Our greatest power is our ability to choose. However, most people weren’t taught how to actually make decisions. Most of the “decisions” we make each day are unconscious—and based on whatever is presented in front of us as options. People often adjust their choices in order to get approval from those around them. We live in a world that’s constantly hijacking our mind, causing us to be in a highly reactive state, responding to all the wild, crazy stuff going on, and going down dark or negative roads. AND many people don’t even know what they want. Instead of making decisions from “the outside in”—we should choose things from “the inside out.” This means we should make decisions based on our desire, our purpose, and what we truly want in life. In this episode, I discuss: Our divine ability to choose—and how we’ve been disconnected from this powerHow I realized my decisions were being controlled by other people who had influence in my life—I was making choices based on what someone else wanted (not what I wanted)Why most people don’t know what they want—and how you can lose yourself by not knowing who you areHow to reprogram your subconscious mind, so it starts releasing your desire to your conscious mindWhy you must be conscious of the decisions you’re making on a daily basisHow the thought of, “I can’t do this,” is usually someone else’s voice in your headHow consciously making decisions leads to us creating new neural pathways in our mind (instead of blindly reacting to our world, we stay conscious about what we want and exercise our ability to choose) Plus, I share an exercise to help you pay attention to how you make decisions. If you want to change this—start with where you are. Where are you in your own growth? What do you actually want? Give yourself permission to go after the things you want, including small things. When you start going after what you want, you start treating yourself well. You start loving yourself; you get in touch with your inner desire, why you’re here, and your life’s purpose. If you follow this process, it will continue to expand over time. You’ll find your desires getting bigger, brighter, and greater. Your ability to choose becomes very strong. Student Spotlight: Wendy & Scott Schultz

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_632_Wendy_Scott_Scultz.mp3   Today I’m speaking with two of my clients, a husband and wife team—Wendy and Scott Schultz. They built a 7-figure business selling clocks on Amazon that required no marketing, because their sales just “took off.” One day, Amazon found out about what they were doing and started competing with them and undercutting them—and within 30 days, Wendy and Scott lost that 7-figure income stream. Meanwhile, they had another business, a vacation rentals management company. Then Covid hit in March of 2020 and all of their bookings went away. Without the Amazon income, Wendy and Scott faced numerous expenses—including mortgages for three rental properties and various loans. In this episode we discuss: The various challenges Wendy and Scott endured after losing their 7-figure Amazon income, and how they navigated through a “really scary time,” while facing massive financial strugglesThe competitive business model that Amazon usesHow things started to turn around for Wendy and Scott after a  “moment of surrender”—and how going into gratitude and realizing, “This is all happening for us, not TO us” changed everythingHow they made the decision to move from Wisconsin to Florida (because that was Wendy’s lifelong dream)—even though Scott had a lot of resistance to the ideaHow they grew their vacation rentals management company to over $5 million a year by 2023—and their business has continued to grow, thanks to the mindset training they’ve learned from coaching with meHow they no longer have to make any decisions based on moneyWhy Wendy chose to un-learn and “undo” everything she’d learned from Dave Ramsey, because his teachings are mainly for people who are on a fixed income—and Wendy is embracing a totally different philosophy around using credit and debt Wendy and Scott now have four rental properties, three vacation properties, and their dream house in Florida. They have their dream car, they go on nice vacations, and they do things that didn’t feel possible a few years ago—including hiring a CEO to run their business. They were ranked #291 of the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing private companies in America this year. Wendy attributes the “Huddle” calls (which are part of my TEM program—The Elite Mind), to strengthening her mindset, so that she doesn’t quit when things get difficult. The Law of Polarity and the Power of Decision

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_631.mp3   Most people are raised in an environment where they’re constantly focused on problems. Because of this, people often get stuck in survival mode, constantly putting out fires and experiencing chaos. When you’re in this mode, you start to anticipate problems. You start to EXPECT that things will go wrong, and that the other shoe will drop. My mentor used to say, “Whatever you focus on grows.” You may not realize the power of what you focus on. If you can learn to focus on the solution (or the thing you want) instead of focusing on the problem, you can manifest the results you want much faster. In this episode you’ll learn: How to change your focus and use the Law of Polarity to manifest the results you want relatively quicklyThe Law of Polarity states that everything in the universe (both physical and non-physical) has an opposite side to itYou can’t have a need or a desire for something without that thing already being present in your life at the same timeWhat shows up in your life is determined by your ability to choose what you focus onFocusing on the solution, rather than the problem, speeds up your results; all of your focus should be on creating what you wantPracticing gratitude for the thing you want, before it comes to you, speeds up the manifestation processEverything human beings create starts off as a dream, a fantasy, or an image on the screen of their mind Here’s an exercise you can use for any problem in your life. On a sheet of paper, draw a negative sign (-) and plus sign (+) on opposite sides of each other. This is a visual representation of the Law of Polarity—opposites are connected. You can’t have one side without the other. Now, use your hand to cover up the negative side (the problem) and put your focus completely on the positive side (the solution or the outcome you want). If you keep your focus and attention on the solution or the thing you desire, that’s what you’ll manifest in your life. Most people don’t do this, because they’re programmed to look at everything that’s wrong. It’s as if they’re connected to the problem in a way to where they can’t let go of it. The key is to focus on what you want. Overcoming Guilt and Shame Around Success

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_630.mp3   I help business owners dramatically increase their income in short periods of time. When I first started doing this work, I was surprised that many of my clients would make a lot of money—and then feel embarrassment, shame, and guilt, as if they’d done something wrong. Their increased income was reflecting their own belief system and self-image. Our whole life, most of us were taught that it’s supposed to be “hard” to make money. We’re told, “You can’t have it all.” “You can’t have everything you want.” “You shouldn’t buy more than you need.” “You shouldn’t want more.” “Don’t go into debt, don’t overspend.” “Learn to live within your means, so you don’t get yourself into trouble.” These ideas contradict our ability to control our income and create however much we want. Because of these messages we repeatedly heard, many people find it challenging to uncover what they truly want in life. I have a process that helps people overcome the difficulty around this. Making money is actually easy if you follow the right steps—but people often have a value conflict inside of themselves. One part of their personality wants to make a lot of money, but another part says, “You can’t do that unless it’s hard.” In this episode you’ll learn: It’s human nature to want things and have desires—and it’s only through the use of things that we can expand our lifeYour desire opens like a flower inside of you, and it points you in the right direction—but it must be nurtured and brought to the surfaceWhy some people have a difficult time accepting the good in their life; even if their income goes up and they’re making progress, they have a difficult time accepting itHow we develop a pattern inside of ourselves, where we put other people’s opinions before our own desires (because mom and dad didn’t care about what we wanted)Why you must stop surrounding yourself with people who want to limit you, based on your past mistakesHow saying “yes” to your desires will open up something wonderful, beautiful, and magical inside of you that you previously didn’t know was there—and it points your life in a direction of why you’re actually here Plus, I share an exercise to help you start saying “yes” to the things you desire. Hector Quiroga: Prove Them Wrong

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_628_Hector_Quiroga.mp3   Hector Quiroga is the epitome of the American dream. In 2000, he left Columbia at age 17 and came to the US without knowing any English. Today he’s an immigration lawyer and author of Prove Them Wrong: One Immigrant’s 10-Year Journey from Bankrupt to Millionaire, a phenomenal book that I highly recommend. Hector faced enormous obstacles in pursuing his dream of becoming a lawyer. He was denied entrance into law school seven times, was repeatedly told no, and got frustrated when people would “form an opinion quickly” about him without knowing him (a common challenge for immigrants). This made Hector mad, but it also fueled him to prove that he could do it. He graduated law school in 2008, just as the real estate market collapsed in the US. Between the two of them, Hector and his wife made $38,000 a year and couldn’t make the $8000 payment on their $500K student loans. Hector realized, “They don’t teach you how to have a business when you’re in law school.” But with the right mindset, he was able to turn everything around. Seven years after filing for bankruptcy, Hector broke his first million in 2017. From there, it took 36 months to reach $10 million. In this episode, we discuss: Hector’s love for the immigration process—which is about giving people an opportunity, taking a chance on them, and helping them make a better life for themselves by getting a green card and citizenshipHow Hector immersed himself in the English language in order to learn it as quickly as possibleHow he started off by offering Chapter 7 bankruptcies for $400-$600 (when the going rate was $1200), while marketing himself on CraigslistHow sexual abuse is rampant among the Latino community and nobody talks about itHow Hector was on the verge of quitting—until a seminar with RJon Robins (owner/founder of How to Manage a Small Law Firm) changed everythingHow there’s a message in your mess—“your mess is part of your message”How trust issues prevent you from being good at delegationAll the fear barriers Hector went through to get to where he is today Plus, he discusses an intense exercise on sales that he did during a seminar with RJon Robins—that opened Hector’s eyes about his own self-worth issue that caused him to charge low rates. Become the Cause and the Effect Will Take Care of Itself

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_627.mp3   The biggest test in life is that you don’t quit. In 1986 I went through basic training and AIT (Advanced Individual Training) in the US Army. There were numerous, specific tests you had to pass in order to move to the next level—a weight test, height test, physical agility test, ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) test. I remember stressing out about it. As the tests became progressively more challenging, I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to pass them. Meanwhile, exhaustion was overcoming me. To this day, I’ve never felt that exhausted in mind or body in my life. There are also “tests” when it comes to school, grades, and other areas of life where you want to move forward. With the Army, the idea wasn’t so much that you pass the test—but that you didn’t quit when things got rough. In this episode I discuss: How Army life revolved around very little sleep, constant physical exercise, mental exercise, and training all the timeHow they try to get you to quit in the Navy SEALs—because if you can’t pass the tests, then you’ll never be as good as you need to be, to endure real-life assignments assignments as a Navy SEALHow my mentor drilled into me the idea that I had to make a decision—the decision needed to be mine, and I needed to follow through on itHow my mind found more reasons to quit than to move forward—yet everything I did with my mentor was based on the idea that I had to “step into it”“The test isn’t the real test” and, “whatever problem you’re trying to solve, isn’t the real problem”How business is nothing but problem-solving day after day—and you must be willing to make mistakes just to have enough data to be able to make a different decision, so you can continue to move forward Failure only exists in the mind of someone who’s going to quit. The real test for success is—are you willing to keep going, no matter what? Do you have what it takes to keep going, regardless of the outcome? Do you have the drive and willpower to keep going beyond what you think your physical and mental capabilities are? You Were Born to be Rich, but Trained to be a Consumer

https://media.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/ins.blubrry.com/thesuccessfulmindpodcast/TSM_Episode_626.mp3   Many people go through life being a consumer. They were never taught that they could have an amazing life. They weren’t ever told, “You can be great” or, “You can go after your dream.” Most of the things people buy are based on a psychological, unconscious idea of “need.” Over 100 years ago, companies discovered that if they can associate their product or service with something that fits the average consumer’s value system, that consumer would convince themselves to buy things they don’t truly need. Today as we go through life, we’re constantly exposed to marketing and advertising, where companies try to convince us of all the different things we need and want to buy. When something is consistently projected into your awareness over and over again—and you see other people around you buying and using the same products and services—you’ll convince yourself that you need those things too. If you’re in business, or if you’re in sales, it’s important for you to understand how people make buying decisions. Your mindset around “buying things” needs to shift—because you have to influence other individuals to buy your own products or services. In this episode I discuss: How your success in sales conversations is affected by whether or not YOU buy things based on needs, or wantsHow to change your own buying behavior, so that you’re not a walking contradiction during sales calls (or in your marketing)How the average person was trained to go to work for someone elseHow growing up with a family with a fixed income creates a certain language, belief system, and value system that leads to people being “responsible adults”How the word “responsible” means different things to different peopleHow most conversations are reactive in nature—and a sales conversation is very different than any other conversation you have in your life To get better at sales, ask yourself, what do you really want? Are you allowing yourself to go after what YOU want? Do you go after the resources you need to have what you want?… or do you just settle for what you need? If you settle for what you need, you’ll have a hard time influencing other people to buy your product or service.
