Girls Night #178: How to learn what your feelings are trying to teach you — with MacKenzie Bridges & MacKenzie Durham
Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!I’m so excited about today’s episode. Today we’re talking about how to learn what your feelings are trying to teach you. I love this episode because if you’re anything like me, you experience a lot of feelings in any given moment, and you’re not always sure what to do with them. For a lot of us, we feel totally overwhelmed by our feelings — our feelings run the show, telling us what’s true about ourselves and the world around us. But then others of us tend to stuff our feelings — and as a result we miss out on so much intimacy — with God, with our people, and even with ourselves. But there’s a third option — a beautiful and better way, and that’s what this episode is all about. To talk us through this I invited my sweet friends, Mac & Kenz back on the show. They’re the founders of Delight Ministries, and an amazing hub of resources called, “For the Girl” and they recently came out with a brand new Bible Study called “In My Feels.”I loved this conversation and I cannot wait to share it with you. In the episode we’re talking about waiting. How to trust God in the midst of long waiting seasons, how to tune into what He’s up to along the way, how God uses these seasons to transform us, and so much more.Friends, if you’re waiting on something today — a job, a spouse, an answer, a home, a move, a positive pregnancy test, or anything else — this episode is for you. Girls Night #176: What to do when you want a beautiful love story but it’s just not happening — with Jena Dunay
Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night! As I mentioned in last week’s episode, we’re kicking off this season by sharing a few of our favorite past episodes having to do with singleness, dating, and relationships. Today we’re sharing the conversation I had with my sweet friend, Jena Dunay, in episode number 75. At that time, she was Jena Viviano, but, a little spoiler alert, she ended up marrying the amazing guy she talks about in this episode, which is so fun! Y’all Jena is incredible. She is the Chief Learning Officer for a wealth management firm and is just a total boss. She's also an alumni of my online course, Love Your Single Life!A little while back, Jena and I were at lunch and we were talking about some of the things she learned along the way in her journey of singleness and dating, and I loved her heart and her perspective so much, I just knew we had to record another episode together. I’m not kidding when I say this is one of my favorite Girls Night episodes EVER!One of my favorite takeaways from the episode is a story Jena shares about a time when she completely broke down at a thanksgiving breakfast from feeling defeated in her single life, an experience I think so many of us can relate to. But what really amazed me are the words her friend said to her a few days later that she’ll never forget and that I believe so many of us need to hear, too. Friend, if you can relate to feeling tired and discouraged and disappointed by your love life so far… this conversation is for you. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Girls Night #175: Our very best breakup advice: How to heal a broken heart with Michelle Windhausen
Hey friends! Welcome to Girls’ Night!I’m so excited to be back for Season 16 of the Girls Night podcast — and to kick off this season we’re doing something a little different. Since registration for my course Love Your Single Life is opening back up in just a few weeks, I thought it would be fitting to revisit a few of the amazing Girls Night episodes we’ve had over the years all having to do with singleness and dating. To start, we’re going all the way back to episode 7 of the podcast to a conversation I had with my best friend, Michelle. In this conversation, we talk about breakups — how to make it through a breakup, and how to put your heart back together!Michelle and I have both been through our fair share of breakups (more than our fair share, I think), and we’ve learned so much along the way: What to do, what not to do, what helps, what doesn’t, things that comforted us along the way, things that helped us get over it, and more. Best of all, we’re going to be talking about God’s redemption in all of this — how He’s able to transform these broken pieces of our lives into something positively beautiful. He’s done that in our lives, and we KNOW He wants to do that in yours too.One thing I wanted to say before we jump in is that I know lots of y’all have been through hard breakups, but I also know that some of you may have broken hearts in different ways. Maybe you just lost a job or had a falling out with a friend. Maybe you’re mourning the death of a dream or even a loved one. Well — in this episode we’re going to be talking about breakups from relationships, but these ideas and principles apply to so many different types of broken hearts. So regardless of what you’re going through right now, I'm so glad you’re here.My prayer is that this conversation brings you so much comfort as you know you’re just not alone in what you’re going through, peace as you’re reminded that you WILL make it through, and hope as you get to see that God NEVER leaves things broken for long.
