Do you realize that God's love for us is not based on our performance or behavior but on His character and promises? In the ninth and final episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff concludes his series by addressing the fourth source of condemnation: the law. Many Christians unknowingly subject themselves to guilt and condemnation by trying to serve God under Old Testament law rather than New Testament grace. In 2 Corinthians 3:7-9, Paul compares the old and new covenants. The Old Testament law, while glorious, was a "ministry of death" and "ministry of condemnation." In contrast, the New Testament is a "ministry of the Spirit" and "ministry of righteousness," far exceeding the old in glory.The purpose of the law was not to make people righteous or reveal God's nature. Instead, as Romans 3:19-20 states, the law was given to make everyone guilty before God and bring knowledge of sin. Once a person accepts Christ, they no longer live under the law. Romans 6:14 says, "Sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace."

In the eighth episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff focuses on the third source of condemnation: others. While God doesn't condemn us, we often face condemnation from people around us, including family, friends, coworkers, and even the media.2 Corinthians 7:2-3 reveals how Paul dealt with condemnation. Paul urged the church to open their hearts to him, stating that he had not wronged anyone and only had love for them. Even though others might try to condemn us, we must remain steadfast in our faith and committed to love, just as Paul did.Romans 8:31-34 reminds believers that no one can successfully stand against us if God is for us. Therefore, we shouldn't let others' condemnation affect our relationship with Him. Proverbs 17:15 reminds us that it is an abomination to condemn the just. Isaiah 54:17 proclaims that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Other people's words can be like weapons aiming to condemn us. But with God's righteousness on our side, we can counter these attacks through faith and condemnation of wrongful accusations. Live boldly and righteously, regardless of the condemnation from the world.

In the seventh episode of "No Condemnation," Duane Sheriff teaches how our own hearts can be a source of condemnation. While God doesn't condemn us, we often struggle with feelings of unworthiness and guilt. 1 John 3:18-22 reveals how our hearts can condemn or give us confidence before God. Living in love and truth assures our hearts, but sin can defile our conscience and lead to self-condemnation. Hebrews 9:14 speaks about how the blood of Christ cleanses our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Unlike the old covenant sacrifices, which provided only temporary relief, Christ's sacrifice offers eternal redemption and the ability to purge our conscience continually.Repentance isn't about earning God's love or forgiveness but cleansing our conscience and aligning our hearts with God's truth. God is greater than our hearts and knows all things (1 John 3:20). Even when our hearts condemn us, we can trust in God's love, forgiveness, and acceptance, allowing us to move forward in our faith with confidence.
