Guide to Grace-Filled Political Conversations with Beth Silver and Sarah Stewart Holland of Pantsuit Politics • 071

The last few years, almost any political conversation has just left me feeling drained. It just seems like we’re more divided than ever and you’re asking for trouble if you bring anything up, unless you’re in a room of people you already know is going to agree with you.The more we give up our ability to have these conversations with people that have a different point of view, the more divided we become because we’re less likely to be engaged with a viewpoint that’s not our own.Today we’re talking to Beth Silver and Sarah Stewart Holland, the authors of I Think You’re Wrong but I’m Listening. They’re two friends from college who ended up on two different sides of the political debate. They figured out how to have these discussions in a healthy way, and are here to share what they learned with us!So after the first few minutes, a tornado wiped out Sarah’s power, but the conversation flowed so well with Beth I don’t think it takes anything away. Plus, you still get both sides with Beth as the conservative viewpoint and me as the liberal viewpoint. And don’t worry, we’re not getting into the nitty gritty of triggering political topics. Moreso how to be able to talk about them.Today we will learn: How to find your political why The importance of being able to hold tension How to handle politics on social media Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/071 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors Learn more about your ad choices. Awareness and Oneness with Gary Douglas • 065

The root of all of my positive changes has been awareness. Awareness helps us zoom out to see all the programs we’ve been running on autopilot – bad habits, learned behaviors, emotional addictions – and from that awareness, we can start to make a change. At the very basic level, awareness is important because, how can we identify what needs to change, if we’re not aware of it in the first place.Awareness works like a muscle. You have to build it up.Today we’re talking about how to open ourselves up to deeper levels of awareness, and not just for our own benefit but for humanity as a whole. In the deepest levels of awareness, we start to experience oneness – or that invisible realm of support, love and inspiration that’s always available to us.Our guest today is Best-selling author and international speaker Gary Douglas. He’s known for his intensity of awareness and his incredible capacity to open people up to ‘know what they know’. He chooses to embody consciousness in everything that he does which inspires others to choose to become more conscious as a result.Today we will learn: The 3 questions that will change your life The easiest daily action we can take to save our planet How to strengthen your intuitive gifts Show Notes: mindlove.com/065 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors Learn more about your ad choices. Animal Communication and Losing Pets • 064

Ep 064: Today we’re talking about animals communication and then, you’ll actually hear a portion of an animal communication session with my little fur soulmate Maverick Danger. 68% of US households own a pet so let's learn to talk to them! This whole process was another amazing example of how the universe works, because normally my little guy is just a ball of energy… but the day before the interview was supposed to happen, suddenly Maverick had an emergency. So I had to rush him to the vet and everything. I’ll get into details in the episode but it was perfect timing to feel as though I had a more direct line of communication with him.But even more comforting are some of the things I learned in this interview.I've often had worries about when it's my pet's time to pass, will he know what’s happening when his body is shutting down, will he be scared, will we still have a soul connection? Today we answer all of those questions. Our guest is Morgan Mellick, an Animal Communicator, Certified Akashic Records Practitioner. She has been working with animals, both wild and domestic, most of her life and then because trained professionally as an animal communicator.Today we will learn: How our animals understand death What role animals have in our lives How to give your pet a fulfilling life Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/064 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors Learn more about your ad choices. Habits, Cravings and Practical Weight Loss with Elizabeth Benton • 063

Ep 063: Today’s episode is about a practical way to create new habits, and break old ones. We’re talking about weight loss… and I don’t love that word choice because I think we get too. Caught up on the scale, but I termed it that because I know that’s what a big portion of us, especially women these days are looking for.But as you’ll hear in this episode, the problem is rarely our knowledge on what is and is not good for us. It’s our mindsets around creating change, and our emotions and even hormones that tend to get in our way.And after my yoga incident this week, it’s the perfect time for me to bring a little more awareness to my own routines. Our guest today is Elizabeth Benton, the creator of Primal Potential. It wasn't that long ago that Elizabeth Benton was depressed, deeply in debt, and obese… over 350 pounds. Her deepest desire was to lose weight to get her life back. Even just to get around without losing her breath after a few steps.she realized that if what she wanted more than anything was to lose weight, why were so many of her actions sabotaging that goal. She started to change the way she approached her goal. Instead of learning more about how nutrition and different weight loss methods, first she needed to learn more about herself and what was driving her behaviors.Whether you struggle with your weight or you struggle with breaking some other bad habit. This episode is definitely a practical approach to habit change building healthy habits and taking control of your body and your life.Today we will learn: How learning can be a form of procrastination How our beliefs about ourselves shape our behaviors A practical accessible way to start building better habits Show Notes: mindlove.com/063 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors Learn more about your ad choices. Grief to Growth and Heartbreak to Wholeness with Kristine Carlson • 062

Ep 062: Today’s story pulls at my heart strings… and I think it’s because I love my marriage so much.Today’s guest is Kristine Carlson. For the boomers out there, you might recognize her husband Richard Carlson as the creator of the series Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. He wrote ~ 30 books and these books have sold over 15 million copies worldwide.Richard was the face of the brand, even though Kristine co-authored a few of them with him. But for the most part, Kristine was his supporting character. She ran the household while he ran the brand. And then, one day totally unexpectedly, he died. And as hard and as tragic as that was, it forced Kristine to step into her own power and take over the legacy. What I love about this story though is most often I hear of people hitting a rock bottom and that’s what forces them to seek and to develop and be more than they were…But in her story, it’s really interesting to hear how someone handles their pain when they already have such a solid foundation built in their mindset. But the story gets pretty crazy and includes a stalker that’s still in jail right now because of the crap he pulled so get ready.Today we will learn: How to surrender to the unexpected How to properly hold space for someone’s grief How to find identify after loss Show notes: mindlove.com/062 Sign up for The Morning Mind Love for short daily notes from your highest self.  Get Mind Love Premium for exclusive ad-free episodes and monthly meditations.  Support Mind Love Sponsors Learn more about your ad choices.
