The Physics of Perception with Adrian Bejan, PhD | Ep 14
Send us a textAdrian Bejan, PhD, is an American professor of mechanical engineering at Duke University, esteemed member of the European Academy, and recipient of the Benjamin Franklin Medal, the U.S. version of the Nobel Prize. Born in Romania and a former member of the Romanian National Basketball team, Adrian is known for developing the Constructal Law, which states that any flow system—from the flight of birds to the movement of air and water—will evolve over time so that it can more easily flow. He has published more than 30 books and 650 papers and was ranked in the top 0.01 % of the most cited and impactful scientists in the world ( top 10 in the world in engineering) in the citation impact database created by John Ioannidis of Stanford University. Adrian has also received numerous awards, including the Max Jacob Prize in 1999 and the Ruikov Medal in 2006, and has been awarded 18 honorary doctorates from universities in 11 countries.
