528: Throwback Monday Foundational Leadership Laws Your Team Need To Hear by Jordan Adler

Today, we have a special episode. Over the past four years, we have had some awesome guests on the show and you may have missed some of them. So, for the next few weeks, we're going to re-broadcast some of the best episodes of the past 4 years. Jordan Adler shares how he kept going after 11 different MLM companies before succeeding wildly. Also, the leadership advice that all your team members need to hear on MLM Nation Who is Jordan Adler? Jordan Adler has earned millions in network marketing and is currently the #1 income earner in his company. He’s originally from Chicago, Illinois and grew up in a lower middle-income family.  One day, when he was still in his twenties, he read a book about residual income that he picked up at a garage sale for 25 cents.  That little book had more impact on his financial future than his 4-year college degree. Today, Jordan leads a team of over 150,000 distributors with his network marketing organization.  He travels the world supporting his team and coaching new distributors. Jordan is also the author of Beach Money.  In my opinion, it’s one of the best books on the MLM profession and is a must-read for every MLM distributor.  In fact, Kimmy Brooke, who we had on episode 45 mentioned how that book helped make her business really take off. Beach Money teaches you to create an income stream that comes in whether you go to work or not… and Jordan has done just that… He has helped compress 30-year careers into 3-5 years. When Jordan is not at one of his mountain homes in Jerome, Arizona or on Mt.Charleston,  you'll find him relaxing in Santa Monica, California, Las Vegas or possibly in some exotic location. Jordans flies helicopters for fun and was recently accepted into Virgin Galactic's Space program to become one of the first civilians into space. 527: Founder Friday "When Should You Go Full Time in Your MLM Business"

Time Management Tricks In this training, we are talking about one simple time management trick that will help you get more things done in the same amount of time. We have to understand our human DNA; our caveman and cavewoman instincts. There are only things that would motivate us to get up and move. If a tiger was coming If we were hungry If another caveman came to steal our woman We are not natural go-getters. Think back to when you were in school, and you received an assignment. For the bigger assignments, you usually received them a couple weeks ahead of time, when there was no urgency to get it done. Come the night before the due date, you are writing the paper quickly because there is urgency. The pressure keeps us going. Similarly, in corporate America, the most productive day of the year is the day before you go on vacation. How does this apply to your business? You need urgency. That’s why we do the Go DMO sessions, and we break it up. Successful people are very specific with their intention. Time management trick to get more done: set a timer and be specific with your intention. Even when you are doing daily tasks, such as doing dishes. I do this trick every day, especially when it comes to emails. If I give myself 15 minutes in the afternoon to do emails, I do them as fast as possible. I could spend a whole day on just that task, so on the bigger tasks, I do 15 minutes in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Depending on the task, I set the timer for, at most, 45 minutes. I take a break and get back to it again. Think about what areas of your life where you can apply this. Challenge yourself and you will be amazed at what you get done. If you want something new and different, go check out the group Purpose Driven Networkers. It’s the only group where you get to prospect with myself and other top leaders every week. You also get accountability. If you’re stuck and not sure how to reply to prospects, you can send me screenshots of your conversations, and I will guide you on what to say. You also get access to over 180 trainings to help build your business. No other group in network marketing can give you this type of training, coaching, and accountability combined. So if you’re ready to take your business to the next level, check out Purpose Driven Networkers. When is a good time for you to go full time in your business? One of the biggest mistakes that people make in network marketing is going full time too early. 5 Reasons why you shouldn’t go full time too early: You don’t yet understand how this business works. This business is built in the nooks and crannies of your day. Most of you, for 90% of distributors, if you had more time, there’s not much you can do in network marketing. If you feel like you need more time, you actually need better time management. What ends up happening is that there’s a lack of urgency, and you get a lot less done. You lose job benefits. You lose the networking at your jobs. Your job is a great way to meet people, and future prospects. Once you become full time, you become desperate. Every prospect is now like a dollar sign. You need the income because you don’t have another job to rely on, so you become desperate. Your story just is not good. When you’re part-time, having an extra $2,000 per month can make your life more comfortable. But when you’re full time and relying on $2,000 a month of income, that’s close to welfare. At that point, your story doesn’t inspire people, it’s scary. To answer the question, when is a good time for you to go full time in your business: When your network marketing business matches your full-time income. I recommend even more than that because of the loss of benefits. As Jim Rohn says, “I’m working full time on my income, but part-time on my fortune.” The exception to this is: If you have really great momentum, and this is applicable to about 1% of people, you can go full-time before your income matches your full-time job. For example, if you went from earning $0 to $30,000-40,000 a year already in just a couple months, and you can see that momentum increasing, you can probably go full-time a little quicker. 526: DMO Heroes “Finding Time To Build Without Sacrificing Time With Your Family” by Shellie Yarbro

Shellie also discusses how she met Simon at a BYOB event and the positive impact that has had on her business. She now gets to spend quality time with her younger son instead of just the little bit of energy she has left. Best Advice Life is so short, so do something you live. 525: Her Passion and Respect for Network Marketing Helped Her Build an Organization with 20,000 Customers with Anna Richards

“This is what I want to be a part of. I want to be a part of a movement of people that want to earn more, give more, that want to show up in a bolder way.” Anna Richards has a passion and respect for network marketing that has lead her to where she is today. She reveals why new distributors struggle with the business and the strategy to overcome those issues. Anna shares the moments when the business was hard, but how important it was to shift her focus and take action on what you can do to stay consistent. She also details how she fit network marketing into her days before she was full time. And now that she is full time, she shares the structured schedule she created, and how it has given her freedom. Who is Anna Richards? Anna Richards worked for a politician before she discovered network marketing in 2013. Today, she and her husband have built an organization of over 20,000 customers and are 6 figure earners, and they live out in Gold Coast, Australia. One Habit Relentless consistency, no matter what. Be consistent first and foremost with the product, and then of course with the business. Show up in some small way every single day and you cannot go wrong. Best Advice In the beginning, it was time for time and energy for energy. If someone is giving you time, return that time. And more recently it was, for things to change, you need to change. For things to get better, you need to get better. Favorite Quote “We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? 524: Founder Friday "How To Brand Yourself and Get More People To Reach Out To You From Your Social Media Content"

One of the biggest mistakes people make on social media, and also when they share their story in presentations is that they spend more time talking about the solution than the problem. Your prospects don’t relate well to the solution. They relate better to your problems and your struggles. Relatability is what gets your prospects to connect with and trust you. Share your journey. It’s inspiring Talk more about the problem. It increases the person’s pain. They can relate to you more. It gives them the room to share their own problems. If they are unaware, talking more about your problem may help them realize their own. Focus on stories. The best storytellers make the most money in network marketing. Pick the best stories you can use and determine how you can create a vivid picture of it to best share your story and pain. If you spend more time talking about the problem, people will be more interested in the solution What Subject Should You Use to Position Yourself When It Comes To Branding Biggest Mistake On Branding The mistake that people make when it comes to branding is that they try to position themselves in a certain way. Instead, you should talk about what you are most passionate about. Branding is about creating a following. And if you aren’t passionate about it, it’s going to be difficult to get the following. You’re not going to do it consistently You’re not going to do it long term. Finding Your Passions If you didn’t have to work, what would you spend your time doing? This is a good place to start to determine what it is that you are passionate about. Sharing Your Passions Builds Trust When you are passionate, people will follow you. Trust is created, and they will be interested in what else you do. This is how celebrity endorsements work. For example, Michael Jordan and Hanes products. People trusted him because of his career, which made him a good brand ambassador. Should You Brand Social Media Posts If you want to stand out, you definitely should brand your posts. If you’re going to do this, don’t do it at the expense of not doing it It’s something you should do in addition to, not instead of, your income-producing activities.   Top Mistake I See People Make People want to get it right, but it holds them back, and they end up not posting at all. 521: Founder Friday "Think Like a Leader, Embrace Your Being Weird and Uniqueness"

How Top Leaders and Most Distributors Think Differently It’s the thinking that determines the type of action they take, and how to stay motivated, even when things aren’t easy. Log in your numbers at the end of the day. mlmnation.com/tracking Past and Present, versus the Future: There are the 3 A’s of Success: Attitude Action Accountability What’s important to know is that your attitude is very influential on the actions you take and your accountability. The difference between top leaders and others: Most people think about the present and the past, focusing problems of the past and present, which are mostly negative. Top leaders have the same issues going on, but the difference is that they focus on the future, which is exciting. If your future isn’t exciting, I highly recommend going back to the movie of your life, how you see yourself and your life 20 years from now. What is your purpose, and how is network marketing a vehicle to that purpose? Embrace Being Weird and Your Uniqueness In this, we are talking about how to market yourself and one of the easiest ways to do it is to embrace what makes you unique. For most of my life, I thought that people wouldn’t want to be around me because of the ways in which I was different. But when I started shifting the way I see myself, I was seeing my weakness and turning it into a strength. Your uniqueness is your strength, and it’s the thing that will help you stand out. You want to be the purple cow. Tips for embracing your uniqueness: Make fun of yourself Go back to your movie. The movie of how you see yourself. Your weakest moments are the raw materials for your future success. What Did You Learn? Thanks for joining me on the show. So what did you learn? 519: The 5 Secrets Critical for Success in Network Marketing by John Haremza

“That’s what we do in network marketing. We build people. If you focus on building the person, the business will get built as a result.” John Haremza has a lot to share about network marketing, and he’s back to share important insights into how to be more successful and to discuss to the new edition of his book, Right or Almost Right. To hear our first conversation, please listen to episode 127. John discusses how important it is to remember that network marketing is still a relationship business, built on creating relationships with others. He also shares the paradigm shift he experienced when he learned that he wasn’t just selling the product, it’s also about selling the opportunity of being in the business. In his book, he dives into ways in which sellers are doing things almost right, and how to correct little mistakes to get more results. Who is John Haremza? John Haremza is a network marketing veteran with 30 years in the business and earnings in excess of $18 million. He has averaged over $1 million a year for the last 10 years, but his all-time proudest accomplishment has been leading his people to earnings of over $250 million and changing countless lives. But John came from humble backgrounds… John lived in a trailer park in Perham, Minnesota and was working as the maintenance manager in a small potato chip factory when he got introduced to MLM. He never sold anything in his life and never had experience and had a severe learning disability. He’s the author of the book, Right or Almost Right. John’s inspiration for writing the book came after he met many network marketers who struggled despite working very hard. John Haremza first appeared on MLM Nation on Episode 127. Best Advice You need to talk to more people. Sometimes people get weighted down thinking they need to know everything. But there’s nothing out there that can’t be fixed by adding 3-4 more people to work with. Favorite Quote “Learn to work harder on yourself than you do on your job.
