The goal of your contact list is not to have everyone to join; it is simply to let them know you have a business. You must have the right attitude about distractions and understand that they will never end. When you accept that distractions will never end, then you become proactive in choosing your priorities instead of getting trapped in a cycle of excuses. It’s not lack of time that holds us from making it happen, it is lack of priorities. We always make time for the things we want. If you loved one was at risk, you would do anything to save them and make it happen. To make it happen in your business, you must think like someone you love will be at risk if you so not show up for it. You must to treat it like a job and with a sense of it urgency. How to energize and motivate your team, when they are doing nothing..   We are in a distraction economy and your team will always be distracted. As a leader, you must distract the distraction in order to keep your team focused and motivated to work on the business… You always must be promoting something new that excites your team. One of the best ways is to promote an event as events are about the experience and social proof. (1)   You can do incentives. A 5-day challenge, a 10-day challenge. Announce an incentive at the event. (2)   Get guest speakers for trainings. Your team get tired of listening to you… it’s natural when you are too familiar with someone. (3)   Lead by example. 532: DMO Heroes "Accountability and the Outline for Success That Got Me Results in Less Than 30 Days" by Simon Chan and Joe Hernandez

In marketing, there is power in association. When you are at an event, you want to take pictures with powerful people because people will see you differently, because of the power of association. I did more in one BYOB session than what I did in a whole month. And I did because we were together. Purpose Driven Networkers is all about accountability. Accountability is extremely important. Because deep down in our DNA we are caveman, cavewoman, the lazy person who wants to relax. We don’t want to be out there working and grinding. You have to show up to do the income-producing activity. Self-development is important but it does not make you money. Doing the hard things first at the beginning of the day. Once you get that done early in the morning, you feel good about yourself. Online prospecting on Facebook is much easier to communicate and with more people much quicker. One of the ways we meet new people online every day is by using C.L.A.M (Comment, Like, Add and Message)  inside Facebook groups or Instagram hashtags and you will have unlimited prospects. Who Is Joe Hernandez? Joe Hernandez was born in deep Texas in Hondo and is now living in San Antonio, Texas. Joe is a veteran of US Air Force and Gulf War veteran for 12 years. He is married with two sons and is a professional Mechanic. Joe was working for the government as a mechanic when he got introduced to network marketing by a girl he was dating at the time. He didn’t get started after the first exposure, but kept going to 30 presentations because his girlfriend told him he could only hang out with her if he attended the presentations. 530: Behind The Scenes Episode: “3 Lessons On Increasing Your Leadership from Simon Chan’s Entrepreneurial Journey”

  “Don't compare. Just know that everyone has to have that unique journey”. An Entrepreneurs life is never easy. Is a nonstop journey of new lessons learned and that's why I do what I do, is not about making money, it is driven by purpose. And if anyone ever tells you that once you make it it's easy, then they are full of lies or BS or they never made it before because it's a never-ending journey. I have a couple of things I want to share. These are all lessons about leadership to help you. So I'll tell you one thing the last year has definitely been the happiest I've ever had in my life. It has nothing to do with business, of course the business drives it, but it's really about the time my family, my boys it’s really been cool. In the last couple of months, I've been coaching my son's basketball team. And also we started baseball. Now I'm manager for that teams are doing both at one time. It's definitely has tested my time management, running a MLM Nation, being a spouse, but it’s really really been fun. I feel like I've been able to be the father that I always wanted my dad to be. I love my dad for what he did but he was just busy. But thanks to the profession of network marketing, it gives me so much more flexibility to just say hey two o'clock I got to pick on my son we're going to go baseball when we do these practices. So I'm really grateful for what the profession has given me. And it’s been really the happiest time. Just made me put things in perspective that business success is important but it's not everything. You may be winning the race but are you winning the right race. You may be may be good at climbing the ladder, but is the ladder against the right wall. Success is not about the money, it's the time and the flexibility you have. If everyone knew what it meant to have the flexibility, that's caused by residual income everyone would work so so much harder. I think about myself; even though I achieved and built a seven figure MLM business. If I knew the benefits, how happy I am with the boys, I would have had kids earlier and even doubled or tripled down on what I did in my business. I would build a million dollar business even faster than what I did. Now one thing I want to emphasize is don't compare.  If you compare, that's really the kiss of death. It what is really going to kill not just your business but your life… it’s  really your life because you're not going be happy. Don't compare. Just know that everyone has to have that unique journey. One of the things that been really exciting to see for me, an update is the success we've had in our group, Purpose Driven Networkers.  It’s not about the money, it’s about the purpose. Every one of you if you want to have a happy life you got to be driven by purpose. It goes back to the book I read. Purpose Driven Life. Back in 2003 that seven almost 16 - 7 years ago that really changed my life. God's purpose for me was to have a positive impact in as many lives as possible that really got me.  It’s not just about money but making an impact and in Purpose Driven Networks we can make a big impact. We opened it up indefinitely, we don't know for how long, but for a short time period. We guarantee you will get one signup within 30 days, but you have got to be consistent. This guy Joe Hernandez did it, he got two signups in less that 30 days. So it works and it is really fulfilling to see making an impact where it is not just about my success but it passing it on. Let's just change gears a little bit and share a couple of lessons for you. Nothing's at all great. Exactly a week ago, I made one of the biggest mistakes I've made in a long time. I just had someone on our podcast that we shouldn't have had on there. MLM Nation has been around. This is going to be our fourth year, almost going to year five now. And at the beginning I remember we had to struggle to get people to get on shows because no one's heard of us. But now everyone wants to be on our show, everyone wants to be on MLM Nation. And recently we got someone that I felt like I didn't do my due diligence enough to have them on the show. Afterwards I found out a few things they were doing that were not consistent with my values and integrity and we had to pull the show off. It never actually got to Itunes, but we did do a Facebook, but since then has been deleted and removed. But you know what. I made a mistake and so it doesn't matter what level you are, you can still screw up. I screwed up. I realized I really screwed up. If you ever screw up, here are a couple of Leadership Lessons for you. You have to own up to it Number one you've got to own up to it. I think the thing that bailed me out after 48 hours I owned up to my mistake. Know that you can't please everyone. Some people are not going to be happy about it. You know leaders make tough decisions. That's another thing, leaders make tough. You got to be willing to make tough decisions. Pulling that interview was not comfortable. I never pull an interview over 500 different shows, and had to pull one that was uncomfortable for me. And you know you have to be direct and honest with the feedback you got to be vulnerable and admit that. And then most important got to see the lesson learned leaders always think long term short term. You know that decision was easy right. Long term. OK. And generally the rule is the long term decision is always going to be the better d

529: DMO Heroes "How To Use The DMO System To Overcome Procrastination" by Alfa Yuson

 “I am more focused and I have learned to manage procrastination.” Alfa Gesim is a member of a special community called purpose driven networkers, who meet and prospect together 15 times a week. The group has accountability tracking for how consistent you are. Alfa was one that beat out dozens of people in the last month with her consistency, and got great results in less than 30 days since she became part of the group. It doesn’t take that much time to prospect; you reach out to people for 15 minutes at a time and get the task down. Also, you have to schedule your DMO. When you do not have much time, and you put your prospecting activities on your calendar, and it just 15-minute segments, you get it done. The secret is to plan ahead of time. Take 5 minutes before you go to bed to write the names of your hot prospects a day before. Who is Alfa Gesim? Alfa Gesim is a mother of one kid. Her husband is an overseas worker and they are originally from the Philippines. Alfa and her husband moved to Spain to make a little better income. Her dream was to become an entrepreneur. She had experience with a small traditional business, but the model didn’t work for her. Then Alfa found someone online who introduced her to network marketing and got started in the business.
