Ep.11 Dr. Zak Stein-The Matrix and Post-Paradigmatic Being
I deeply enjoyed this fluid, humorous and mystifying journey into complexity with Zak Stein, a versatile thinker and philosopher both of and beyond his time. We explore Zak’s background through the history of Jazz musicians into philosophy of religion and educational psychology. We explore what it means to be a ‘post-paradigmatic thinker’ moving within and beyond existing paradigms. We talk on how the Matrix illuminates our time and the important developmental journey represented in it from pre-tragic to post-tragic being.
Dr. Zachary Stein is a writer, educator and futurist and the author of 'Education in a Time Between Worlds: Essays on the Future of Schools, Technology & Society' (2019). Ep.10 Ivo Jurian Mensch: An Experimental Conversation: Power, Exousiance & Emergence
I talk with Ivo about manhood and learning through relationships and he shares his work at a new kind of thinking organisation concerned with ‘Emergence’. We consider why is it important to take this new approach and what are the more subtle constraints in our existing institutions and processes. We talk about the importance of shadow work when discussing Islam and the West. Then the conversation grows more experimental as we explore reconceiving of power through ‘exousiance’ and in doing so pause and dwell in not knowing. At the end, I introduce some of my more experimental ideas about Jesus as Game B sage and what is meant by ‘I am’ in scripture.

Ep.9 John Vervaeke-The Logos of Dialogue: Embodiment, Christianity & Trauma
In our first conversation we explore John’s understanding of the transformational potential of a dialogic relationship with world and self. We play with the ways in which our cognition is not confined to our heads but both embodied and experienced aesthetically. Then, building on John’s 2015 discussion with Jordan Peterson, we explore a new layer of the historic meaning crisis ‘the landscape of trauma’. Entering dialogic flow, we ask what it means to embody logos and explore healing, trauma and relationship to mystery. Lastly, drawing on our shared backgrounds in Christianity we consider the challenging relationship of Christian communities to trauma and individual growth.
John Vervaeke lectures in Cognitive Science & Psychology at the University of Toronto. He is at the leading responding to our collective circumstance with his expansive ‘Awakening from the Meaning Crisis’ lecture series and work re-imagining the ancient art of Dialogos. John’s work is cutting edge, deeply collaborative and at its highest aspiration promises to respond to our age with a new synthesis of science, wisdom traditions, religious understandings and embodied contemplative practices. -John's Channel:

Ep.8 Jason Snyder: Navigating the Memetic Ecology/Growing With (and Without) Religion
Jason and I dive deep into how mediums like Twitter shape our memetic ecology and ask how to exercise responsibility within them against incentives. We ask how we might bring artistic, expressive and multidimensional selves to these fragmented mediums? We revisit our religious foundations- exploring responses to the meaning crisis and the value of embodied and meta cognition.

Ep.7 Tim Adalin-Tuning in Amidst Crisis: Community, Memetics & Soul Force
I talk with Tim about dropping into emergent communities of connection. We unfold the BLM Crisis moment with an exploration of the Memetic landscape, our responsibility to it and the dangers of low resolution sacred memes. We discuss the notion of Soul force as an alternative to contemporary social justice’s material Game A relationship to power. Lastly we attempt to articulate the setting which would allow us to fully manifest our human potential, coming into a communion of art and expression which holds the tragedies of life and brings us into rhythmic attunement.
Tim Adalin is the Host and founder of the VoiceCraft Collective. For three years out of Melbourne Australia he has been talking with very interesting people, organising live events and creating community centred around wisdom.

Ep.6 Andrew Taggart-Spiritual Philosophy: Death, Truth Discernment and Sexuality
Straight into the deep end we consider the horrifying quality of beauty and death in a blossoming flower. We talk about the awakened saturation of life that can occur when we shift what we find salient. Expanding on Andrew’s conversation with Daniel Thorson (Emerge Podcast) about ‘Existential openings’ we talk about the challenges involved in discerning and communicating deep truths with others. We end by killing the idea of the ‘sexless sage’ and discuss how deeper awareness and spirituality can both enhance relationship and hold longing with integrity.

Ep.5 Guy Sengstock-Circling Mystery and Revealing Reality: Tech, Pornography & Dialogos
Guy and I explore circling’s emergence in relation to the remarkable pace of technological change in the last 20 years. We take a deep dive into how ubiquitous pornography is fragmenting our sense of self and affecting intimacy drawing on our own experiences. Lastly we delve into and practice a new and mysterious conversational practice known as ‘Dialogos’ which presents a doorway to a more joyful and meaningful life as well as an attunement to concealed realities.
Guy Sengstock is a founder of an authentic relational practice called Circling which is practiced worldwide and perhaps best described as a "yoga of deep transformational conversations". Guy has facilitated circling for decades and instructs through the circling institute. He has also been been central in the the emergence of ‘Dialogos’ (through logos)-with thinkers like Jordan Hall, Christopher Mastropietro and John Vervaeke. Ep.3 Johannes Niederhauser-Philosophising Today: Remembering Being and Returning to Plato's Cave
In my first conversation with Johannes we talked about his journey leaving the academy and participating in the new philosophical emergence with the founding of the Halykon Guild. We considered why philosophy lacks standing today and the re-appearance of questions of being and stillness. Lastly we riffed on Nietzsche's death of God and how we have 'swallowed the ocean' and wiped away the horizon of man. As accompaniment to the conversation see Johannes' powerful reading of 'Death of God' here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRM-c...
Johannes Niederhauser is a philosopher from Germany who recently completed a PhD entitled 'Heidegger on Death and Being' at Warwick University.
