Episode 29: But Wait...There's More with Bryan Lavery, NP
When we think about our AR clients who do it all, one name always stands out! Bryan is the Director of Clinical Operations at My Face Lady as well as a Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner by day, and he spends a several hours a month in the ER as well.One thing Bryan and his two partners at MFL have mastered is strict protocols and processes for managing the day to day. At their size, they have had no choice! With over 85 injectors spread across Texas and Louisiana, this concierge medical practice has exploded since it opened 5 years ago. Bryan has learned a lot of lessons by trial and error, especially when it comes to hiring, onboarding and training a massive staff. The business is bringing on new talent 4-6 times a year with 10-15 injectors at a time! He’s built a stellar leadership team with devoted personnel to manage onboarding, payroll, inventory, Aesthetic Record, local outreach and more. There’s only 1 of him and 85 of them, and he can’t be everywhere all at once. Process is the only way..He’s become an operations master with some many moving parts- there is no playbook for concierge medical clinics at large scale. Because of this, they are obsessive when it comes to safety protocols, frequent staff training, building a connected culture, and managing resources (specifically inventory!)This episode will absolutely BLOW. Episode 27: What Lies Beneath with David Saadat, MD
In Episode 27, we sit down with industry icon, triple-board certified facial plastic surgeon and passionate educator, David Saadat, MD.While he practices in Beverly Hills today, he started from humble beginnings as an Iranian immigrant at the young age of 16. He found a love of learning and a desire to achieve early on which brought him to medical School, and eventually to board certifications in Otolaryngology, Facial Plastic Surgery, and Sleep Medicine. Like most medical students, money was tight, and during Residency, he earned extra income by spending countless hours assisting in the anatomy lab. Here he found a passion for teaching anatomy, one that he’d rekindle later in his career.Fast-forward a few years, and he’s not only built a booming surgical practice, but he’s an industry leader in injectables. Coming out of the pandemic, he’s busier than ever, adding 5 injectors, buying a Medical Spa, and maintaining a surgery center that serves not only his own practice but that of others in the area- aside from the financial benefits, opening his surgical center to others is something he enjoys as it brings in young surgeons eager to learn & grow their skills under his mentorship. He’s also getting back to his love of anatomy as his career enters a new phase.
