Episode 26: Through The Looking Glass with Ashley Carmen, FNP-C, CCRN

Ashley is the Founder of Aiyana Atelier in Northern Virginia where she has quickly carved out her place in a highly competitive market! Not quite a year into her entrepreneurial journey, @botoxandbourbon is spilling the tea on the lessons learned (and still learning!) as a full time nurse injector & business owner. ️

After spending 10 years in the ICU, she transitioned to Aesthetics, where she’s spent nearly 6 years honing her craft, building a loyal patient following and giving back to other injectors with a mix of business and clinical training.  She opened Aiyana Atelier in 2021, and the rest is history! She’s knows what she wants, and despite explosive growth, she’s staying true to her ideal practice- one where she is the solo injector focused on individualized treatment plans, transparent pricing, and bringing a VIP touch for long-term patient retention.

She’s also actively running a private training academy where she teaches beginning to advanced injectors with coursework covering half day classes on toxin to multi-day courses on full face correction.  She also has a multi-course curriculum on skincare, and she offers business consulting and shadow days for injectors wanting to get a sense of what it's like to own their own practice.

In this episode, Ashley shares her stories as a new entrepreneur including the time drains you never saw coming, why you need administrative staff who can love and protect your business like you do, and how she opened in a highly competitive market and still has a 100 person waiting list!
