Coaching Mind's Podcast: Perform at your best!
Mental Training Plan
This podcast is designed to help people take back control of their mind and body in high-pressure situations. We primarily focus on athletic situations usually spend time talking with athletes and coaches about how to use these tools in an athletic setting. However, we firmly believe that these are tools and skills that you will be able to use for the rest of your life in any situation or setting that causes your mind or body to get off track. Whether that is losing focus to distractions, losing confidence, that little voice in the back of your mind creating doubt, or wondering if you have what it takes, we use tools and strategies backed by cognitive brain research and neuropsychology to help YOU take back control and perform at your best when it matters the most.

#69 - Focus Cycle: Controlling your mind and body in Big Moments
Welcome back!! Today Ben and Zeke chat about Ben's book Focus Cycle: a guide to controlling your mind and body in Big Moments. Today's episode takes a look at the science behind controlling your mind and body during high-pressure situations. We all instinctively know that when an athlete begins thinking negatively, acting negatively, and speaking negatively that they start to feel lousy and don't perform at their best. The problem for athletes, coaches, parents, and people in the business world is knowing exactly how to get back on track so that you can avoid choking in pressure situations. There was a time when we thought that high-performing athletes, performers, and business executives just had an "it" factor that helped them perform at their best when it mattered the most. However, modern research in fields like neuropsychology has shown that this "it" factor is not something that some people are just born with, rather it is something that you can learn and improve like any other skill or technique. This book is designed to help you control your mind and body so that you can perform at a high level. Don't just hope that you will be at your best when the game is on the line, make your plan to be sure of it!Check out the book on Amazon or go to: mentaltrainingplan.com/focuscycleAre you an ATHLETE looking to take your training to the next level?
