68 Fine-Tune THIS for More YESes During Discovery Calls
My client, Holly Shaw, is a FABULOUS coach, and when she had the honor to speak in front of 120 actors at SAG in LA and ended up booking 46 discovery calls, she was stoked. But when only four of those 46 calls turned into paying clients, mostly one-off sessions, she began to suspect there must be a weak link in her discovery call process. We hopped on a call to diagnose where she was losing these clients, and discovered that when it came time to give people her prices and tell them about her package, her energy dropped and she felt kinda sale-shy and apologetic. Um, can you relate? So we did a Message Breakthrough dedicated to fine-tuning this specific piece of her discovery call process, and lo and behold... The very next day she landed a VIP client and sold a $1997 package with total ease using what we worked on. Listen to this week’s episode of Unforgettable to hear EXACTLY what we shifted and the language Holly used to “paint the picture” that led to these immediate results. Announcements: What’s your biggest struggle with leading discovery calls? Do you hesitate to name your price? Do you avoid the offer? Head over to the free Unforgettable Facebook group and let me know what you find most difficult when you’re leading a sales call. Make sure to tag me so I can see it, too. :) Feeling like your communication might be blocking clients from saying yes? Click here to find out if you’re making one of the 3 common mistakes I see coaches make when talking about their work on discovery calls, at networking events, and on their websites. Warmth, Adria P.S. Next episode you’ll hear all about how my guest Kathleen Ventura has built a profitable business and smoothly pivoted into a new niche through building real relationships rather than relying on time-intensive launches.

How to Structure a Discovery Call that Doesn’t Feel Salesy AND Converts
You’ve been on the phone with a potential client for 30 minutes, and you’re both still chitchatting. When you finally get to how you can work together and name your price, she tells you it’s out of her budget and asks for a discount. Ultimately, she says she’ll think about it… except then you don’t hear from her again despite following up. If this is what your sales consultations feel like right now, this episode of Unforgettable is for you. What if this process could actually deepen your relationship with your potential client while at the same time empowering her or him to say “yes!” if it’s a fit? In this ep, I’ll share a 5-step framework for how you can go from wishy-washy to taking lead and never feel like a pushy robot as you turn calls into clients. :) Not sure what to say when people ask you what you do? 66 How to Create an Offering that Feels Valuable to Ideal Clients
You’ve been talking about what you do, and you’re excited that people are interested. They sign up for your free consultation calls, and then? You have to have something to sell them, so you put together an offering. Maybe it’s a 3-month package or maybe it’s just working together session by session. Yet one after the other, you get on the phone to take them from potential client to actual client… and they’re either a 'no' or a dragged out mayyyybe. You know your work is valuable, useful, and has the potential to make a BIG impact on their lives. So what’s going on?! I’ve worked with so many coaches and heart-centered biz owners who come to me with a variation of that question. While each of them brings a different experience to the table, they’ve usually made one -- or all! -- of the three common mistakes entrepreneurs make when creating offerings. And it’s costing them a whole lotta’ money and heartache. If this sounds all too familiar to you, definitely listen to this episode. Beyond learning those 3 common mistakes, I’ll also share my go-to question I’ve asked many of my clients that has resulted in offerings that are more valuable in the eyes of their ideal clients. Announcements: Still worried that you’re being too salesy, pushy, or greedy when you get on the phone with ideal clients? Check out the upcoming training I’m hosting with my two biz besties on how to overcome your money gremlins so you can go from charging hundreds to thousands. Get all the details and sign up here. What’s your offering? This is the perfect time to share what you’ve created and what problem it solves with new people. Head over to the free Unforgettable Facebook group and post yours there. Make sure to tag me so I can see it, too. :) Warmth, Adria P.S. Next week, we’re going to go next level with this topic. I’ll share how to structure a discovery call without feeling salesy once you’ve got a potential client on the phone.

65 Six Q’s to Determine Why You’re Not Getting Clients
You’ve been checking off all the marketing tasks you were told to do. But after six months of disappointing results, you’re wondering what the heck is going on. Why aren’t you getting clients?! That’s the question this podcast season of Unforgettable has attempted to answer. Beyond interviewing experts like Stefanie Frank, Alexia Vernon, and Amanda Berlin, I’ve also chatted with new coaches and entrepreneurs about their experiences going from confused to clear. And from clear to finally getting clients. Plus, I’ve gotten on my soapbox a handful of times to talk about stuff like why using the “right” words in your message doesn’t really matter and how flowery language is hurting your business.I know you’re more than capable of filling your calendar with ideal clients. So my job is to make sure you have the tools so you can do that easily and effectively. That’s why today’s episode gives you one final tool to use before next season. In it, I ask six questions to help you figure out why you’re not getting clients. Together, we’ll narrow in on what’s stopping ideal clients from paying you. You might be surprised by your answers, and I hope they lead you to solutions that have been closer than you realized. Six Q’s 1. Has your message evolved in the past 6 months? How has it evolved? 2. Have you slipped back into talking about your tools versus the problem you solve? This is the time to reset that. 3. Where are you using flowery language? Are you saying exactly what you mean, being clear instead of clever? 4. Where might you be over-communicating? 5. Have you been scared to niche down? If you could niche down to be a little more specific, what might it look like? 6. In what areas have you been overthinking your message and letting perfectionism keep you from moving forward or putting yourself out there? What to Do Now: The season may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t ways for me to support you. Here are a few free ways we can hang out during the break: 1) Join the Unforgettable Facebook group. - This group is for coaches and solopreneurs seeking feedback on the message behind their brands and offerings. Join here. 2) Get regular updates. - If you want to know when the next season airs, make sure you’re subscribed to the email list. You can sign up here. 3) Have a clarity call with me. - If you’re feeling lost and aren’t sure what your next step should be to start getting clients, sign up for a free clarity call with me. I’ll mention how we can work together, but there are no strings attached. Book your free call here. And if you’re ready to do more focused, intentional work with me, here are a couple of ways we can work together: 1) Join the next round of Get Clear, Get Clients. - I run this virtual group program throughout the year for a select group of entrepreneurs who want to stop struggling to get clients. Find out when the next round is happening and read more details here. 2) Join the Fun & Fierce Coach Program. - Many new coaches give up when they’re just inches away from the tools that could lead them to success. Instead of struggling to get clients and offering your services for free, the Fun & Fierce Coach Program offers a 3-step system that will allow you to focus, remove the overwhelm and do exactly what is needed to take your coaching biz from feeling like a hobby to actually having clients pay you so you can finally begin helping people...and having FUN while doing it. 64 Stop Over-Thinking When You Talk About What You Do With Cathy Cochrane
Before, when Cathy would tell someone what she did, she would say, “I teach women how to listen to their bodies as the true source of wisdom.” It’s beautiful, flowery language. And it sounds wise and metaphorical. But unfortunately, it wasn’t language that helped her ideal clients understand if they needed what she had to offer. When Cathy came to me, we got underneath her tendency to overthink the words she used. Which led us to choosing a more specific niche, gave her more tangible language to express herself, and helped her finally connect with the people who needed her most. In this episode, you’ll have a behind-the-scenes look into how Cathy stopped overthinking and started putting herself out there to be seen and get clients. “Understanding how to express what I do has given me the confidence to show up more.” - Cathy Cochrane Announcements: Are you a new coach who is ready to help others but doesn’t have the biz know-how in place? 63 Why Using the “Right” Words in Your Message Doesn’t Matter
What stops so many new coaches from having a calendar full of their ideal clients? They get stalled from taking action because they think they need the *right* words or the *perfect* message first. Often they try to find a copywriter who can turn their lack of clarity into beautiful language. Or they wait for a wordsmith fairy (aka inspiration) to show up on their doorsteps. Now, I totally get the appeal of finding a “done-for-you” solution. After all, before I had the tools, that was me, too. But I also know in my bones that crafting a message that connects with those who need you most can only start with you. So if you’ve been letting a quest to find the perfect language hold you back, today’s episode might be exactly what you need. Announcements: Me and my two biz besties, both brilliant business coaches, are hosting the FREE #NewCoachChallenge starting July 18th! If you’re a new coach, I invite you to join us for the support to communicate, market, and monetize your biz to draw in those first clients. Go to bit.ly/newcoachchallenge to learn more about it. How has your business evolved? Share with me over in the Unforgettable FB group and tag me so I can hear it. Go to adriadecorte.com/group. Warmth, P.S. In the next episode, you get to hear from a past client about the shift she made that helped her stop overthinking the message behind her business and start drawing in ideal opportunities left and right.

62 Evolving Your Message with Your Clients with Cher Hale
What do you do when you have a variety of strengths and experiences but can’t find the thread that ties them all together? That’s what happened to my guest, Cher, who also happens to be my team member, or “work wife,” as I like to call her. :) When she first came into my world, she called herself a “writer,” which was true but didn’t communicate the full value she brought to the table. As you’ll hear in the episode, our Message Breakthrough session triggered a series of events that helped her finally communicate what she really does, allowed her to raise her rates, and invited her ideal clients into her world. In this episode, we have a candid conversation highlighting the ups and downs of her journey as she evolved her message alongside her clients. “The more honest you are with yourself, the more success and comfort and clarity you’re going to experience.” - Cher Hale Announcements: I’m hosting a LIVE workshop in Las Vegas called How to Connect and Communicate with Ideal Clients. In today's episode, you'll learn: How to implement standard business advice so it speaks to YOUR voice rather than turning you into a business robot What stopped her from feeling stagnant in her business and spending every day on the “wrong” kind of busy How she quadruple her investment in a month after working with me What “active evolution” is and why you’d want to treat your brand as an experiment Warmth, Adria

61 Why Flowery Language Can Actually Hurt Your Business
Discover your highest self. Speak your truth. Tap into the universal energy. After you tell a potential client what you do using that kind of lingo, is she left scratching her head or excited about working with you? More often than not, she’s confused. Because while that kind of language sounds pretty, it’s not clear. And it’s one of the biggest blocks I see that keeps them from thinking your work applies to them. In this episode, you’ll learn how to take your language from abstract and flowery to clear and compelling. Announcements: Ready to draw in ideal clients? 60 Copywriting that Doesn't Feel Salesy with Stefanie Frank
How do you move a potential client to action? It’s not about pretty branding, belonging to the right Facebook groups, or even an archive of blog posts. What it IS about: the words we choose to use when communicating with that potential client. Lots of online gurus make copywriting sound complicated and overwhelming, and those of us who lead from our hearts get turned off by the fear of feeling sleazy and scammy. But there are basic principles that will help you connect with your ideal client in a connection-based and genuine way. In today’s episode, I dig in with my guest Stefanie Frank -- copywriter, trainer, and my speaking BFF -- into how to be persuasive when writing copy for your sales pages, newsletters, about page, and blog posts without making your clients feel sold to. "The heart and soul of persuasion is inspiring someone to take an action.” - Stefanie Frank Announcements: I have a few limited Clarity Call spots this month to help you uncover one strategic shift that will lead to the results you seek. 59 Why Having a Strong Brand Message Isn’t Enough
When I stepped offstage after my TEDx talk, I felt in full alignment with my brand message. Anybody in the audience that day would have wholeheartedly agreed that I was passionate and clear. What they wouldn’t have seen, though, was that I wasn’t excited about the work I was doing with my clients. And as a result, I was making no money. Maybe, like me, you’ve realized that having a strong brand message isn’t enough. Or on the flipside, you’ve realized that loving the work you do with clients doesn’t keep your business in the black. If that’s the case then you’ll definitely want to tune into today’s episode because I’m diving deeper into why a lack of alignment on either of these levels may likely be what’s holding your business back. AND what to do about it. Announcements: If you need support in what I talked about, I’ve got a few spots open for free Clarity Calls this month. Use yours to get clear and focused on what strategic shift will make your ideal clients happily say ‘yes’ to working with you. Are you in the Unforgettable Facebook group yet? Join us! I’ll send you a BIG virtual hug if you rate & review Unforgettable on iTunes. Warmth, Adria P.S. Next week I’m chatting with my FAVORITE copywriter, Stefanie Frank. She’s going to help you write compelling copy that doesn’t make your clients feel sold to, so don’t miss it! Click here to be updated on every new podcast episode.
