We saw moving speeches, some shocking wins, a smooth ceremony for a change that respected the nominees and celebrated the art of filmmaking, and memories that will last a lifetime. Alyssa Christian, Giovanni Lago, Eve O'Dea, Daniel Howat, Meredith Loftus, and Will Mavity all joined me to discuss the winners, their speeches, and what we thought of the show overall minutes after it went off the air. "Creed III" recently opened in theaters to the franchise's best box office opening and is continuing the "Creed" franchise in new and unexpected ways. One of those fresh approaches was through the film's cinematography. Michael B. Jordan, in his directorial debut, brought on "Creed II" director of photography Kramer Morgenthau to execute his vision for the third and most ambitious film in the franchise yet. That ambition came from the decision to shoot the boxing scenes using IMAX cameras, a first for any sports film, and depict the action in a style that resembled anime. Baz Luhrmann's "Elvis" had its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival, went on to gross over $280 million, and is nominated for 8 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Actor for its leading star, Austin Butler and Best Sound. Austin was gracious to spend a few minutes talking with Zoe Rose Bryant about his process for becoming Elvis Presley, working with Baz, his reaction to the film's success, who he wants to work with next, and more. Following that, the Oscar-nominated supervising sound editor, sound designer, and re-recording mixer, Wayne Pashley, goes into great detail about the sound work for the film with Ema Sasic. Edward Berger's "All Quiet On The Western Front" is nominated for 9 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best International Feature, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
