Growing up, he was trying to become an NHL hockey player. Sadly, his parents split up, and he moved across the country. At his new school, Lance was bullied terribly. Then, Lance got the stepmom from hell, which made his life even worse. Looking back, all this adversity was his greatest teacher. Eventually, Lance discovered alcohol – it allowed him to numb his feelings and realize that he can invent a new person. A few stupid mistakes cost Lance his career – he experimented with steroids and felt like he let his family down. Later, Lance lost his younger brother to suicide and his dad to cancer within 18 months. It was a total wake-up call. He has learned to accept his story - all the good, the bad, and the ugly. [09:55] Getting Clear And Finding Fulfillment After Overcoming Adversity In order to achieve anything great, there's always going to be some sort of resistance. Adversity is a level of struggle or resistance that is going to challenge you. We need to see adversity as necessary. The challenge is resistance for getting us to the next level. Fulfilment comes from overcoming something that you felt you couldn't do. [14:45] How To Start Building That Life Of Abundance And Happiness First, pay attention to how you feel. What story are you telling yourself? So many of the stories that we tell ourselves just aren't true. Get clear on what you want your story to be. Getting clear will take a lot of contemplating and reflecting. We get to create the present moment as a fresh, clean slate. An action step would be to start journaling - the awareness and the consciousness is so important. Jacoby’s Research For The Surgeon General of Taiwan The Surgeon General asked Dr. Jacoby of Taiwan to figure out why people there had diabetes. After doing research, Dr. Jacoby told the Surgeon General that it was their diet. Luckily, Dr. Jacoby was able to educate them on insulin resistance, diabetes, and the cause of their health problems. [04:00] Sugar Is Not Only A Drug, But It’s Also A Toxic Poison Too Sugar is a poison. Table sugar is really glucose, which is not sweet, mixed with fructose, which is sweet. Well, that’s a disaccharide which is a poison. Most people love this poison because the hippocampus in your brain is the addiction center. The brain will turn off enzymes that cause satiation. Sugar is probably 20 times worse than cocaine. Ancel Keys told us that cholesterol was causing heart disease; however, that’s a total lie. Every process in the body is nerve-muscle function. Through Dr. Jacoby Global Compression Theory, he links carbohydrates to conditions like plantar fasciitis, Alzheimer's disease, MS, ALS, and Autism. If you're carrying the genes and eating sugar, you're going to get that particular disease. [20:15] Avoiding The Hidden Dangers Of High-Fructose Corn Syrup 80% of all the food in the United States has high-fructose corn syrup in it. High-fructose corn syrup is made by putting the corn in sodium hydroxide. For many years, they were using mercury to separate the starch from the husk. Plus, it’s grown with glyphosate, which is the main ingredient in Roundup. This is one of the reasons that Autism is so high. [24:30] How Does The Immune System Fight Covid-19? The vaccine does not prevent you from getting the vaccine. It will change your response to the virus. Why do some people die from a virus and other people don’t? If your immune system is down, it won’t be able to kill the virus. While on the other hand, if you have a healthy immune system, it will kill anything. The higher our inflammatory levels, the lower our vitamin D levels will be. Take vitamin D, vitamin C, zinc, melatonin, and don't eat sugar. That way, you have a 99.9% chance of not dying from this virus. [33:00] Our Food Supply In The United States Is Making The Virus Worse Jacoby isn’t telling people don't eat sugar. He’s saying if you do eat sugar, then you're going to die. Sugar tastes great – it’s a drug! We all eat it. However, we should know better in 2021. Sadly, our tax dollars are broadcasting lies. Plus, we are wearing masks and being told to stay inside. Money and control are at the root of our problems. There is a direct link between sugar in our diet and nerve damage, which results in a wide range of chronic, debilitating diseases that are seemingly unrelated. [41:30] Your Body Is Built To Heal Itself + How You Can Help Stop eating sugar, get vitamin D, vitamin C, melatonin, get sun, and you’re going to be fine. That’s what it takes for your body to handle the virus. Jacoby says that if you are selling the keto diet, then you should be able to open your restaurants. If your restaurant is selling sugar, then you need to stay closed. People should be outraged! We can empower others and change the entire outcome of our country. [49:15] How To Kick Your Sugar Addiction + Help Your Health Jacoby puts butter in his coffee, and it changed everything. Italians put butter in their coffee. Human beings eat fat – that’s their natural diet. Sugar is not in our natural diet. You can also put sea salt in your coffee to replenish electrolytes. If you just eat fat, then you will live forever. Theoretically, all you need is fat because you will make your own sugar. [52:50] Artificial Sweeteners Could Be The Poison Ruining Your Health Artificial sugar is still a sugar molecule with a toxin. Monkfruit and stevia are okay. Once you get on keto, you won’t want to eat that sweet taste. Anything that ends in “ose” is bad. Words with “ol” like alcohol is sugar alcohol. AND MUCH MORE! [01:50] Understanding Back Pain Anybody that has back pain, their problem isn't the pain. Instead, the problem is what's causing the pain. Chiropractors are taught to look at structural aspects of the spine. When you make an adjustment on a patient, you're actually improving the mechanical movement of the spine. When people have back pain, they’re convinced something is wrong with a disc. However, it may not be a disc at all. That’s why Dr. Lieurance likes prolotherapy. It’s a procedure where a natural irritant is injected into the soft tissue of an injured joint. Temporarily, you'll have relief from your pain. If the pain goes away, then the person needs to do a series of injections to heal the core of the problem.
[07:50] Healing The Body With TRT Treatment TRT (tissue regeneration technology) can help heal your body. The depth of penetration of this machine can treat hips and lower backs; it is really exceptional. TRT will stimulate stem cells and improve circulation. Dr. Lieurance will use that on a lot of patients with neuropathy. Any area where there's damage in the body, we can use TRT treatment to enhance significant healing in the body. [10:10] How The AVACEN Works The AVACEN works on the sympathetic, parasympathetic nervous system. There's an incredible amount of representation of the hand in the brain. So, giving stimulus to the hand can have very powerful effects on the autonomics. Your autonomics are really the area of your nervous system that are taking the stress when you are in sympathetic. Basically, the AVACEN will switch people more into the resting and digesting mode. [13:10] Getting PRP Injections The PRP injections are done around the ligaments. The PRP goes in as a liquid, and there's a little bit of an anesthetic in there. Very shortly after, it turns into a solid, like gelatin. Basically, it's grafting where the damage is in your back. The process is quick, but it is not enjoyable. PRP shots will help remove some of that fatty tissue in the back. These fatty tissues will develop in the back when those muscles aren't getting activated enough. [20:20] The Feast-Famine Cycle Calorie intake is what dictates this feast-famine signaling. You're signaling your body to grow and repair, or you're signaling your body to clean and recycle. We have access to unlimited food, all season, all day, all night, and we take advantage of that. When you're feeding, you're inhibiting your body to actually clean and repair itself. So, we want to balance that out. That is why intermittent-fasting and fasting have become so popular. People are finding that fasting is mitigating a lot of diseases; they're literally able to reverse diabetes. Plus, fasting can improve cancer, autoimmune diseases, degenerative neurologic diseases, and all sorts of things. If you look at a lot of diseases, it’s happening because there is too much growth. The Secret Life of Fat is based on all this research! We think of fat as storage for calories; however, it’s so much more than that. [02:25] What Is Fat? Fat is a complex endocrine organ that has multiple functions: Storing calories. Producing leptin – which has a great effect on our brains, our bones, and multiple organs. Creating adiponectin – which has a lot of impact on where our fat is stored. [03:25] What You Need to Know About Leptin Our fat produces this hormone called leptin. It's the biggest producer of leptin in the body, and fat releases it into the bloodstream. Once leptin goes to the bloodstream, it goes to your brain; it'll tell your brain that you’re overall satisfied. Basically, the brain will know that you are good, there's enough nutrition in the world, and you are okay. Leptin will also communicate with your muscles. It tells your muscles that it's okay to expend energy because you have enough nutrition. When we start to lose fat and begin to lose weight, say 10% or more, we reduce the amount of leptin we have. So, people who've lost 10% or more of their body weight respond enormously to food. Overall, once you've lost weight, you have to eat less than someone who's at that weight normally. It is why diets don’t work! [07:15] The Role of Adiponectin Adiponectin is more or less telling fat where to go. When we have dietary fat, adiponectin will guide the fat in our bloodstream to the right parts of our body. So there's different kinds of fat, there's white fat. It's right under the skin, it's in your thighs, buttocks, arms, and it's actually the safest places to deposit fat. If you're going to have some fat, those are the places to put it. There's also visceral fat; it sits underneath the stomach wall. It is the more dangerous fat that's nestled against the internal pancreas organ. There's brown fat – it burns calories instead of storing calories. Plus, there is beige fat – it that can turn brown when we exercise. Overall, adiponectin will help guide the fat you eat and put it into the right place. [09:20] How Exercise Can Help Adiponectin It’s around 20 hours of jogging a week to get adequate levels of adiponectin. That is when your body will start to shift around where your fat is. High-intensity interval training will also help raise your levels of adiponectin. You have to exercise a lot before it starts to affect you. It's best to work with your diet and do some exercise. Don't rely on exercise alone! [11:10] How To Get More Brown Fat Brown fat is actually used to create heat. We have brown fat around our heart; we have it around the clavicle areas and our spines. Having brown fat around those important areas is critical. These areas need to be heated even when we don't have exposure to cold. Beige fat, which was discovered last decade, is the fat that can turn brown through exercise. The more you exercise, the more you can increase your levels of brown fat. Exposure to cold will also increase your brown fat. [13:45] Women Produce 33% More Ghrelin Than Men After Exercise Women are designed just to have more fat. There are many reasons for this: Fat produces estrogen. Fat is linked to our reproducibility. When women exercise, they have a different reaction than men. Dr Jeff Matheson | Why the quality of your fats on keto matter! KKP: 237
Today, I am blessed to have here with me for the THIRD time Dr. Jeff Matheson. He is the co-founder of an all-natural migraine and headache centre, which promotes a non-narcotic approach to pain and headache management. Our body is great at communication, not only within each organ but between organs. All this communication is done through the cell membranes. The cell membrane is the basic divide between the outside world and the inside world – that’s where the fundamental communication takes place. All hormonal issues boil down to unhealthy cell membranes. [03:45] Hormones Aren’t That Simple Hormones need a delicate balance. If you start adding exogenous hormones into the system, you're going to push that system out of balance. How adding exogenous hormones into your body will affect you later on down the road is really difficult to predict. The whole hormonal cascade is extremely complex. When people correct their underlying nutritional issues, usually within six to nine months, they should be able to come off all exogenous hormones. [06:25] Bad Things That Develop In Our Cells The problem that will affect people first is mitochondrial issues. The mitochondria is a very high-energy place, it's supposed to produce lots of energy, but it can be screwed up fairly easily. The first thing that people feel is fatigue - that's that mitochondria sort of breaking down. Later down the road, genetic issues will show up, and that’s when you start getting cancers. [09:15] Why Your Supplements Might Not Be Working If you have an unhealthy cell membrane, things can't get in. On average, the cell membrane is 50% fat. If you have abnormal fats in that cell membrane, that membrane becomes more like plastic. When you put plastic wrap on something, not a lot of stuff gets through. So, you won't be able to get good things in very efficiently, and you won't be able to get the bad things out very efficiently. It's only a matter of time in that kind of situation until you have a total cell breakdown. [14:30] How Keto & Fasting Help Support The Cell Membrane The brain is about 70% fat – it operates on keto about seven to eleven times more efficiently than on carbohydrates. Fat-based energy production is way more efficient. Every single one of our ancestors did keto because their environment forced them into it. Once you achieve metabolic freedom and flexibility, your body can actually manufacture glucose from the fat and from protein. [18:20] Is Omega-6 Bad For You? Omega-6 isn’t bad for you; processed omega-6 is bad for you. Omega-6 has the same oxygen-binding capacity as hemoglobin. Hemoglobin is also intimately bound to the cell membrane; so, they work well together. After people take the proper amount of omega-6, they feel better. Plus, they will be able to feel it fast. [21:10] The Issue With Fish Oil Fish oil is high in EPA and DHA. They're what we call unsaturated are much more unstable. Not only is fish oil too unstable for us, it's not really needed in very large quantities. As it turns out, the brain only uses about seven and a half milligrams per day of EPA and DHA. People on a high dose of fish oil will have a problem with nose bleeds – it’s an obvious example of fluidity. If you overload yourself with fish oil, the mitochondria is only half as efficient as it should be. [34:55] Is Eating Fish Bad Too? You can certainly eat fish. When you cook it, you're destroying the fats anyways. It's the deepwater fish that are higher in EPA and DHA. Fish have a lot of good nutrition in it unless it's been contaminated with heavy metals and stuff. In Japan, where they eat mostly raw fish, they do have higher rates of hemorrhagic strokes. Fish that have fewer heavy metals are ones with a fast turnover like sardines. Tuna is a bad one because tuna will eat a lot of other fish and is lower on the food chain.
