West Ada Superintendent Dr. Derek Bub

Dr. Derek Bub is the superintendent of West Ada School District. WASD is the highest ranking large school district in the state of Idaho. It has a very unique school choice program, several STEM and art programs, an IB program, and more. Aside from the programs it offers, it also has a huge number of students at almost 40,000. Brian Brooks is the Executive Director of Idaho Wildlife Federation, a nonprofit organization with deep roots going back almost a century in Idaho. He came in on the heels of movement from the Biden administration to talk about the impending extinction of Idaho Salmon as a direct result of the four dams that no longer produce impactful water transportation or profitable electrical production. Not only are the dams destroying the salmon, they're also costing taxpayers and ratepayers millions of dollars on an annual basis. This is an avoidable tragedy occurring right in front of us.
