20200602 Nicole Sandler Show - Awaiting the Locusts
With each new day comes a new crisis, thanks to Donald Trump. The US leads the world in covid-19 infections and deaths. We've lost our standing in the world. We've alienated our allies, while the president aligns with strong men and dictators. And yesterday, he had military police fire tear gas and flash bang grenades at peaceful protesters to clear his way for a photo op at a DC church, where he used a bible as a prop. And America burns. On Tuesdays, I gather with my gliberal girlfriends GottaLaff and Amy Simon. Today, we'll try to figure out how our nation survives.

20200601 Nicole Sandler Show Monday Music Sunset Session with Sara Hickman
Our Monday Music segment has teamed up with Michele Clark's Sunset Sessions, which just means that we've got big plans for the future! Today, we welcome Austin-based singer/songwriter Sara Hickman for some musical medicine for what ails us. Unfortunately, what ails us is a very sick country, still battling the COVID-19 pandemic and topped with a hefty serving of white supremacy, police brutality, and institutionalized racism. We'll begin the show, as usual, with the latest news, information and commentary. Good thing Sara Hickman will help ground us in the second half of the show.

20200529 Nicole Sandler Show - Fighting for the Soul of our Nation with John Nichols
The Nation magazine's National Affairs correspondent John Nichols has a new book out, "The Fight for the Soul of the Democratic Party". It's a fight we must wage and progressive must win, but it comes as the country is fighting for our future. The events of the past week make me wonder if we have a future at all... today's conversation with John Nichols will be a good one (as they always are). He joins in at the bottom of the hour. But first, I have the latest news, from anger in Minneapolis to insanity and meltdowns in the White House. And another great covid song parody to give us a moment of laughter on this very sad day...

20200528 Nicole Sandler Show - Another Thursday with Howie Klein and Down-Ballot Progressives
Howie Klein, the man behind the Blue America PAC who writes at DownWithTyranny.com, is my regular guest every Thursday. For the past few weeks, we've been going over the revised primary calendar, and shining a spotlight on the best candidates who need your votes in their primary races to be on the ballot in November. We'll continue today, beginning with the June 23 elections in New York, Kentucky and Virginia. We'll also chat with Nate McMurray, who's in a special election to fill a vacated seat in NY's 27th district immediately. Of course, we'll begin as usual, with the latest news, commentary and something to make us laugh...
