Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. This is Kimberly Olson. I'm so excited to connect with you today. We're going to talk about something different, something fun, and that is LinkedIn. But first a listener review. Says, "Valuable! Kim is so relatable and always gets right to the point in her podcast. I was tired of listening to long podcasts that took too long to get to the point finding this one has been a total blessing and I get so much value out of each and every episode, Emily". Well, thank you, Emily. I appreciate that so much. And I'm going to actually share something fun about my name since she said Kim, most of you call me Kimberly. So I actually went by Kim growing up and my family called me Kimmy. So that was my nickname. Uh huh. And when I- it's actually kind of funny. So when I was in my mid twenties, shout out to one of my roommates, Jackie McLaughlin. So we lived together in our mid-twenties and we decided that we were going to go by our full names to sound grown up. So she was obviously Jackie and she went by Jacqueline and I went by Kimberly. And so that was my first like venture using Kimberly. And then later on, when I started getting online, I realized that I liked the distinction between everyday and online in business. So professionally, I always introduce myself as Kimberly. And if people ask, "how do you want to be addressed?" I always say Kimberly. So have you ever wondered about that? Day-to-day people call me Kim and online, professionally, business, all the people- like, even Anna that have known me professionally this whole time, even though we're super close, she calls me Kimberly. So there's a little nugget for you today. All right. So let's get into it. Have you considered LinkedIn? Because it is literally the business builder's dream. Okay. I want you to think about this. Most people are pretty good at getting customers, which you can get anywhere. TikTok, Reels, Facebook, hosting events, living room locals, giving a sample at the grocery store. Like that's pretty easy. But business building and enrolling teammates is definitely a different beast.

191: Speak to Your Ideal Avatar on Social to Attract Qualified Leads

Do you want to attract more qualified leads to you? In this episode, I'll cover the steps you need to take to connect with your ideal avatar online. There are tons of different ideas out there for you to implement, but I'll share the ones that have personally benefited my business and how you can implement it, too. We are going to talk about how to speak to your ideal avatar on social media. By doing this, you are going to learn how to attract qualified leads. People tell me all the time, "oh, well you have an audience. That's why you recruit in double digits each month". And I say, "no, that's not true!". Because there's so many people on my team that are also recruiting, getting tons of customers from people they don't even know without audiences, without followers. I mean, I'm just over it. So I'm going to be real and raw with you in this episode and tell you exactly what I'm doing and what the people who are having success on my team are doing. And also my students. Okay. So you're going to love this. First, a quick listener review. This is from, oh, it doesn't have the name on here. Or maybe it does Emmanuel, I think? "These really do set your soul on fire. I absolutely love listening to Kimberly talk, whether it's a short but sweet one or a longer interview, I always come away with such value. It's always first on my list to listen to, and I will recommend to anyone using social media for their work. Reach your best you!" In the United Kingdom. How fun are you? I love it. Thank you so much. I appreciate that. Okay, so let's get into it. So how to speak to your ideal avatar through your social media. All right, so what we want to do first off is we want to stop posting and praying. Okay? You don't want to get yourself in a situation where you're crossing your fingers, hoping somebody comments. Or maybe they'll view your story or reach out. And you also don't want to pitch without permission. Okay? You don't want to be sending your link to anyone or just feeling really desperate. I mean, believe it or not, people can sense your energy. So if you're not having results, even though you're reaching out to people, it's probably your energy, your posture. They can sense that you're just kind of grasping at straws. And this is always  my guiding light. This is how I just continue to continue to defend the way that I'm teaching people to build versus what's still being taught out there with just, you know, "you've got to message people every day!" How does it feel?

190: Why THIS is More Important than Anything Else You Do

One of the biggest mistakes that I see entrepreneurs make is getting their priorities out of order. Don't let this happen to you or your business! In this episode, I'll share the top priority that you should be focusing on and why it is more important than any other aspect in your biz. Show Notes: Show Notes: Check out my Facebook groups for those that want to build their business online through social media, in a genuine and authentic way: Goal Digging Boss Babes: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggingBossBabes & Goal Digger Creatives: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerCreatives Goal Digger University is where you can access my archive and newly released workshops, masterclasses, bonus training PLUS my Mastermind- with weekly live in-depth training for a monthly subscription: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerU  Connect with me across the social media platforms on Search My Social: https://searchmysocial.media/thegoaldiggergirl If you find value in this podcast, please leave us a review - it means so much!   https://ratethispodcast.com/thegoaldiggergirl  Partial Transcript - Read the Full Transcript here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Ohs1Q8MmrbN7HZVaQyxkQddLzhtH4yFq/view?usp=sharing Hey Goal Digger, Kimberly Olson here back for another episode, and man am I excited to talk to you about this today! I think once you really grasp why this is more important than anything else you do, your life is going to change. So first we have a listener review. This review says, "the real deal. Kimberly is realer than real. She shares her authentic journey with us in a way that makes us feel right at home. I love her energy and unending content. Hustle With Heart Mama". How sweet are you? Thank you so much, I appreciate it. And for those listening, it is the biggest compliment in the whole world when you pause to do a review. I know they take a minute, but thank you from the bottom of my heart. And when you're able to do that, thank you so much. So we're going to talk about what is the most important thing? What is that thing? Right. When you see people are successful, you want to know. I'll never forget, when I got into my first coaching program, when I got into network marketing and really social media and online marketing, I remember she said, "okay, for the upcoming group coaching call, I'm going to walk you through my day". I don't know if she was quite at seven figures, but she was making multiple six figures. And I was making like, you know, a thousand dollars a month or 2000. Like, I was not making a lot yet. And I remember thinking, "gosh, if I could just know what she's doing!" And I got on the call, I never get on calls live. I'm a replay girl, and I was working full-time at the time, so I could never make them. And I got on it somehow. I don't remember how, but I was like, "I have to know", like I just it's imprinted in my mind. I wanted to know. And when you think about the people that are around you, whether they're successful in sales and revenue, building a team, just their swag and posture online, right. Or maybe it's a friend that just seems really happily married and you're like, "gosh, what's her secret?" Right? Well, this is what it is. This is the most important thing. Okay. The most important thing is to decide. And I'm going to give you the definition to explain why this is so important. And I know you're going to, "oh gosh, Kimberly. Decide? That's really what this is about?"

Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. I am so excited because I have a rock star sales woman here who is going to teach y'all how to make more sales and really feel confident in the process. So welcome on Amanda. Is it Abella? Is that how to say your last name? Amanda Abella: It's Abella. Kimberly Olson:   Ooh, I like it. Abella. All right, girl. Well welcome on. We're so excited to have you. Amanda Abella:  00:24 I am so excited to be here. I'm thrilled. I think there's a great synergy between the audiences. 'Cause you talk about visibility and I talk about sales and I'm like, well! I mean if you have all these eyeballs on you, how do you convert them into money? So I think this is great. I'm super excited to talk about this. Kimberly Olson: This is so great. It's the perfect marriage. Yeah. And that's the thing. Like we do a lot with audience building and then they go, "but how do I actually close people?" And I teach funnel people to your Facebook group, love on them, nurture them, but there's still a gap between that and actually closing sales. So if you're new to anyone in my audience, can you share with everyone a little bit about you, your background? What got you into it?  Amanda Abella:   Yeah. So I am the CEO and founder of Make Money or Honey, which is a marketing and sales training company for creatives, coaches, and consultants. Women coaches, creatives, and consultants, I should say. And basically we help people with their system, influence and sales. So we'll help them build their intellectual property. We'll help them grow their influence. And then we actually teach you everything sales. Like I joke that our main program, sales is literally like half the program. And the reason I got here is because I've been in sales since I was 20, but nobody told me. So I was doing fundraising, I was a recruiter. That's what I was doing at my previous employment. I gave tours for my college, which was all about like sales presentation and getting donors and all that kind of stuff. And then I started my first business in 2010. I was actually a freelance writer. So I actually did marketing and freelance writing for financial companies, and financial brands, and financial websites for eight years. Kimberly Olson:   Whoa.

188: Why It's Not Enough to Just Set a Sales Goal

Welcome back to another episode, Kimberly Olson here, and I'm excited to have you back and talk about something a little bit lighter than our last episode. If you didn't listen to it, Oh! It was a little heavy, but I really just, I have to follow my intuition when I feel like I need to talk about something. So make sure you go back and listen to what I think about what's going on in the world. Okay. So for this episode, we're going to talk about why it's not enough to just set a sales goal. And I would first like to leave a listener review and to remind you, please leave your own review. Wherever you listen, you can leave a review and we're going to get it. So this review says "Kimberly Olson, The Goal Digger Girl's amazing! I've been listening to Kimberly Olson's podcast for a month, and I can honestly say every piece of content she shares is so beneficial. She's helped me grow my business to levels I've never thought possible. If you want to grow personally and in business, I highly recommend following Kimberly on every platform. Thank you, Kimberly. I'm so proud to be a Goal Digger. From Gemma". Thank you, Gemma. Well, I know who you are personally, and I adore you, you know that and thank you so much for that review. And I appreciate everything you guys. So when it comes to setting a goal, this is why it's not enough to just set the goal. This is why New Year's resolutions don't work or you'll set the goal and then it's part way through the year and you're like, "yeah, that's not happening", right? If you actually listen to The Secret, which is a really good, there's an audio book, a book, there's a movie. I love it. Love it so much. It's changed my life, to be honest, The Secret. But the one piece that was kind of missing in The Secret is taking action. So it's not enough just to think about what you want. You actually need to take action, but you also need to make sure that it's realistic and that there's a plan behind it. So one of the biggest red flags I see with students that come into our programs, or new team members that enroll on my team directly. So whenever someone decides to work with me or we talk through it and we think it's a good fit and they're working directly with me, I have them fill out a form so I know their goals.

187: How I Really Feel About What's Going on in the World

It's time to get real, y'all. Disclaimer: this episode is NOT for the haters or the faint of heart. Tune in to hear my deep dive into what's going on in our world right now and how I feel about it as we're all living through it. Show Notes: Show Notes: Check out my Facebook groups for those that want to build their business online through social media, in a genuine and authentic way: Goal Digging Boss Babes: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggingBossBabes & Goal Digger Creatives: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerCreatives Goal Digger University is where you can access my archive and newly released workshops, masterclasses, bonus training PLUS my Mastermind- with weekly live in-depth training for a monthly subscription: http://bit.ly/GoalDiggerU  Connect with me across the social media platforms on Search My Social: https://searchmysocial.media/thegoaldiggergirl  If you find value in this podcast, please leave us a review - it means so much!   https://ratethispodcast.com/thegoaldiggergirl  Partial Transcript - Read the Full Transcript here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13hukv3HqLM7PJ3JoiCaEmAlESpRYFGM8/view?usp=sharing Hey, hey, Goal Digger! Kimberly Olson here, back for another episode. And this is going to be a little bit different, so you may want to put some earmuffs on. You may not want to listen to it, you may think the exact opposite of me. But the cool thing is about having your own podcast is that you really can talk about whatever you want. I thought about going live with this topic, I almost did today, and something told me not to. And then I thought, "Ooh, it's a bit controversial". So to go on social, you put your accounts at risk, right? But on my own podcast, I can get away with a little bit more. So we're going to be talking about obviously what's going on in the world. So at any point, if you're just like not jiving, it's making you just whatever, I'm going to invite you to skip this episode and go to another one. But for those of you that do like to really arm yourself with information, I think you should stay on and listen. But first, a listener review. It says "The best podcast around for those building online. So so much value in each and every episode. It’s the highlight of my waking time to listen to Kimberly. She never disappoints, and I learn something new each time. Kirstie". Well, thank you, Kirstie, I really appreciate that so, so much. So this episode, I needed to do this because I wanted to share with you how I really feel about what's going on in the world. I know a lot of you are empaths, a lot of you have struggled with mental wellness throughout all of this. I know more people have gone to drinking, or overeating, or getting more isolated, struggling with depression, anxiety. Like all this stuff going on in the world really does impact us. So my goal for sharing this is one, I'm sure you're curious of what I think, but two is that hopefully I can give you some information that can help you to feel more comfortable with what's going on in the world so you feel that you actually have a choice. Because I think a lot of people feel like their hands are tied right now. And to an extent it's true. You know, if you think about some of the horrible things that have happened in our history where people had to report back to their homes and stay there and people were just controlled where they lived, and all of that. I have friends that can't travel outside of their country, you know? And, it's kind of crazy. So I understand how you feel.

186: Conversations that Actually Close

How many of you wrote "close more sales" on your New Year's resolutions list? I'll share my tips on how to have more conversations that lead to closing sales and how I got to personally enroll 250 business builders with my company. This is Kimberly Olson, and for today, we're going to talk about conversations that actually close. When I think about the question I get most from my students is how do I talk to people? Right? How do I share what I do without being weird or spammy? How do I actually get the conversation that direction and be able to cross the finish line, and have more customers, more clients and more business builders? So we're going to talk about that and more today in this episode, but first we have a listener review from Christina. Christina says, "I love this! Such a great reminder to stay the course and work on your mindset". And she was referring to one of our previous episodes. Thank you so much, Christina. We so appreciate it. And please remember, if you love this episode, make sure you download it. That actually helps with some magical marketing numbers or something. So appreciate that. And don't forget to leave a review as well. Okay. So conversations that actually close. Once I made the shift in the way I was showing up online, everything changed for me. So if you have followed my journey and you are thinking, "wow, she has a really big team, and seems to be enrolling a lot of people!" I do have a good sized team and I do enroll a lot of people. Last month alone, I enrolled about 10 people and this is alongside a full-time coaching business that I run that's multiple seven figures. So that's my "full-time job" where my network marketing is more my, what I do on the side. Right. So I've got a lot going on. So how am I able to do that without, by the way, reaching out to people and messaging them? Now, do I reach out and message people and have conversations? Yes. Okay. So when I say I don't reach out, I mean, I don't cold message. There's a big difference. Okay.  So how have I been able to do that? Well, I made a huge shift back when I started out. So the first six months of the business was all, pretty much warm market and a little bit of referrals through some customers. So that was going pretty well. But then when I ran out of people, I was like, Oh my gosh, WTF, what am I going to do?

I'm excited to share with you part two of the Slay Her Way conversation with myself and my business besties. If you didn't catch it, go listen to the other episode first. If you want to get that part of it, and then come on back here so we can listen in on what it means to really show up online genuinely. How do you use your voice? Like how do you get over that fear of who you are and really connect with your audience? That's what we're going to talk about, and more, during this conversation. Listen in! Kimberly Olson: I'm going to answer Alex's question, then Chaitali, I'll turn it over to you. So she, and a lot of you, I've heard this from a lot of our students in Six Figure Breakthrough Business Academy, so I think a lot of you can identify with this. And I think we all went through this because we were definitely going down a different path with how we were showing up on social media than our uplines. So her team, "my team builds by puking the product all over social media" and it's expected from her. Okay. That's key. What's the best way to handle this? You're definitely not alone. So when something's expected of you, then you have just become a glorified sales rep. You're pretty much an independent contractor, like an employee. You're an entrepreneur, you are an entrepreneur. Kimberly Olson: And as soon as you registered your account with that company you get to choose, of course complying with policies and procedures, but you give yourself permission to say, "I appreciate that. I'm going to be respectful of them, but I'm going to respectfully decline", and give them that feedback. "I'm learning a way that feels really good to me and I have to do what's best for myself and my mental health in my business. I just need you to trust me. I'll absolutely be respectful. I'm not going to ever say anything negative with how you're building." And then you just respectfully decline and let them know, "you know what? I have to build this business in a way that feels really good to me". And when you do that, how can anyone argue with that? And if they do, just send them the replay of this webinar, okay? Chaitali, did you have that where you were posting a lot and then you kind of shifted? Or what was it like for you?

And you get some special time with them today, an inside look on what it means to really build your business online in a way that feels genuine and authentic. Like how do you actually share your voice online? That's what we're going to talk about, listen in. Kimberly Olson: Hello, everyone. Welcome on. How y'all doing? Excited to get my co-hostesses on. Hostesses with the mostess. Hey Aleshia! All right. I see Kathy, Chaitali. Hello! We have Vanette rolling in as well here in a second. We're going to talk about how you can really build this business in a way that feels genuine and authentic to you. We're not streaming this anywhere. I'm going to have them each introduce themselves, and then we'll get into a great discussion. I'm in Austin, Texas, and I'll let the other ladies share where they're from. So Aleshia, if you want to start, why don't you tell us a little bit about who you are and where you're tuning in from? Aleshia Wisch: Awesome. So I am from Northeast Ohio in a little town called Geneva. Absolutely love it here, born and raised. And I am a wife, my husband and I actually just celebrated 17 years together and eight years married and we have three awesome kids. But I absolutely love working with you ladies and love- what I'm really passionate about is helping women show up in their most authentic self. But it's the part of just being yourself so that you, 'cause you have so much value and you're gonna change the world in your very own special way. And it's so beautiful to watch the journeys of the people that we help. It's absolutely amazing. Kimberly Olson: Yay. I love it. Thank you so much. Yeah. You're definitely a role model for being yourself and that's what we need.

Welcome back to another episode of The Goal Digger Girl. I'm so excited because we have special guest, Laura Meyer on today. And, welcome Laura. First, want to say that, welcome. Laura Meyer:   Yeah, thank you so much for having me! It was meant to be. Kimberly Olson:   Yes, we are on podcast right now, but if we end up steaming this on YouTube as well, y'all we'll probably have to do that because our backgrounds match and we were just sharing how awesome that is. So we're meant to connect. I love it. Laura Meyer: Yeah So we have to look at the matching that's happening. Kimberly Olson:  00:28 Yes! Laura Meyer:   It's real. Kimberly Olson:   It's real. I love it. And it's nice that someone else has an affection for pink, like I do. So everyone listening has probably heard me talk about Kelly Roach. She's my coach. I've been in Legacy Leaders, Unstoppable Entrepreneur, Legacy Builders, Legacy Leaders for a year and a half. Addison's been in Give Her Courage, which is their Entre Leadership, a program for younger kiddos. And so everyone's familiar with that and that's how we got connected. So I would love for them to get to know about you. So do you mind sharing a little bit about who you are and your entrepreneurial journey? Laura Meyer:   Yeah. So, I have been an entrepreneur going on 20 years now, so it's been a while. And I started out in brick and mortar, actually had a wedding photography business. Then I grew it to a portrait studio chain, then I grew it to a national franchise. Then I ended up exiting that and getting into the online space. And at the time I had all of these different, incredible experiences, but I really struggled to figure out how to package them up in a way that made it easy for other people to say, "Oh my gosh, you're my person, right? Like I really want to hire you 'cause I have this problem and I want to solve the problem by investing in your expertise". And it took me a little while to kind of figure that out. And over the time I became friends with Kelly wrote, she lived a couple of towns away from me. Laura Meyer:   Our kids played together. We had a really nice relationship. I was in UE for a period of time as well. I still pretty much am. And then she became my business partner on the Advance Expert Network, which is the community that we started a few months ago, specifically for high level female experts, coaches, consultants done-for-you service providers, so they can grow their business through referral marketing. And that has been super fun to have a community of people who really needed what I needed three years ago.
