Live stream in multiple languages in 2023 (feat. Alvaro Montoya)

In this episode, we speak with Alvaro Montoya about some easy-to-implement solutions global organizations, LSPs, and virtual platforms can use to live stream in multiple languages with remote interpretation. We will be covering two different solutions: Solution 1: Browser Extension Solution 2: Multilingual Video Player More specifically we will look at: 1. How do these solutions work? 2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each solution? 3. How much does it cost to implement such solutions? The objective of today’s discussion to show how anybody can fully understand and be able to confidently implement such solutions for her/his own organization or for her/his clients. About Alvaro Montoya Alvaro is a Telecom Engineer from Barcelona (Spain) with an MBA from Tsinghua University (Beijing). He is fluent in Spanish, Catalan, English, and Chinese. During the last 11 years, he has been living in China working in multinational companies such as Microsoft. In 2018, during his MBA studies, he built a prototype called "Akkadu" (at that time it was a multilingual AI subtitles software to help students understand content in their own language) and participated in a startup competition sponsored by Facebook where he got the second prize. That was the beginning of Akkadu. Alvaro loves playing the piano, playing chess, watching anime, and his favorite quote is "别守株待兔,主动!" which means "don't wait for things to happen, make them happen!" If you haven't watched Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, or Star Wars, you cannot contact him. About Nimdzi Live: There is a shadow industry driving the growth of ALL global brands: Localization. LSPs as growth enablers – A new paradigm? (feat. Olivier Marcheteau)

It’s a known fact that Translation & Localization go well beyond language and that the industry has long embraced a combined and ever-growing human+technology approach. Many providers now position themselves as partners – with internationalization and content management as the buzzwords. But when you go beyond that and become a growth enabler for your customers by turning their content into value, you are also reshaping the perception of the traditional LSP… Olivier Marcheteau is the CEO of Acolad. He joined the group in January 2020. His goal is to accompany Acolad’s rapid growth by facilitating the integration of new acquisitions, accelerating technological innovation, and structuring the company’s service offering and client portfolio. Olivier is an experienced international leader with a 15-year track record of leading companies to succeed and scale up in highly competitive, international, and technology-driven environments.
