Savage Moments in a Life of Grace
Brody Holloway | Be Strong Men's Conference | Friday NightIn this session, Brody looks at the life of David and what we as men can learn from his obedience and failures. Though David is a type of Christ, his kingship fell short of what God would ultimately do through Jesus. Throughout his life we see the blessings that come from obedience and the consequences that come from his sin. When we’re faithful to the Lord, those around us will be blessed. And when we’re disobedient to the Lord, we’re not only hurting ourselves but those around us. Even when grace is applied the consequences of sin can linger. God calls us into a relationship in which our actions matter. The way you talk matters. The way you treat people matters. The way you’re living your life matters. We need to live in a fear of the Lord that will drive us towards obedience fueled by grace. 70 Years in Babylon
Spencer Davis | DNOW | Saturday NightWe cannot finish well apart from Christ. Your life right now is not meaningless, these years count. We need to be looking to Jesus daily and allowing Him to lead and guide us. In this session, Spencer walks through Daniel 5 to show us an example of someone who truly finished well. Those who exalt themselves over God will be brought low. Our world is ruled by the prideful spirit of Babylon. Do not conform to this present evil culture but seek the Lord daily. Remember Daniel’s obedience despite the odds. God is faithful to His people. Follow the course God has given you and finish well. How to Study the Bible
Camden Schwarting | DNOW | BreakoutBeliever, you need to be studying Scripture daily. Today, Camden walks through what it practically looks like to study God’s word. Take time to ask yourself what the text says about God, you, and commandments that you should apply to your life. Take time and study, you have the rest of your life to do it. Read all of the Bible all the time and pursue the Lord with your life.ResourcesPsalm 119Learn more about our student and adult conferences at Swoutfitters.com. P.S. The Fiery Furnace
Rob Conti | DNOW | Saturday MorningKingdoms and governments will come and go in this world but only God’s kingdom will last forever. God is the one who sets up kingdoms, and He holds all authority and power over them. In this session, Rob teaches about King Nebekenezer who set up an idol for all people to worship. He wanted an eternal kingdom to rule and reign in the place of God. The people had to worship this idol or they’d be thrown into the furnace. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood firm and did not bow. Even if God didn’t save them from the fire, they resolved not to defile themselves by worshipping this idol. Do you take the Gospel that seriously? Are you taking ownership of your faith? They trusted God with the outcome of their lives. His plan for you is better than your plan for you. There is no real risk when we’re faithful to God. God was in the fire with them and protected them. Nothing in this life can separate us from the love of God. This world that wants to distract you and make you bow down. Instead, stand firm and pursue Christ. Resolve to be Faithful
Brody Holloway | DNOW | Friday NightIt is going to seem at times that God isn’t more powerful than this world. This is wrong. God has a plan and people's rejection doesn’t change who He is. It doesn’t take away His authority over this world. The world will tell you lies. What God calls good, the world calls evil. You have to decide which you’ll follow, the world or Jesus. In this session, Brody looks at the life of Daniel and how he remained faithful to the Lord in the midst of exile. Remember the changes that took place in your heart and mind when you came to know the Lord. You have a new identity in Christ. But you need to be on guard for embracing a twisted brand of Christianity that is conforming itself to the world. Scripture tells us to renew our minds daily or we will end up looking more like the world and its way of life.Jesus has shown us the supreme example of how to live. You will be held accountable for how you live your life. Get serious about worshipping Jesus. Resolve to not defile yourself with this world. Resolve to be faithful to the Lord and make an eternal impact.ResourcesDaniel 1Romans 6Romans 12:1Ephesians 1Romans 8:18Learn more about our student and adult conferences at Swoutfitters.com. P.S. Don’t Let Sin Rule Your Life
Spencer Davis | Pure & Holy | Sunday MorningBelievers, you are always either moving towards Christ or away from Christ. The enemy is relentless and is set on distracting you from your walk with the Lord. On your own, you are set for failure, but you are not on your own. Your sin is not stronger than God’s grace. If you are a Christian, then God Himself dwells in you. You don’t have to bend to your fleshly desires. Jesus takes your old man and makes him new, but you have to be refreshing your mind every day. There’s got to be a change in our desires for our actions to change. You will not be disciplined to do something you don’t want to do. So we need to get to work. Saturate your mind in Scripture daily. The more you look at Jesus, the more you look like Him. Be diligent today, pursue the Lord, and rest in His forgiveness. In The World But Not of The World
Brody Holloway | Pure & Holy | Saturday NightBelievers, we’re called to live at peace with all people without compromising the truth that we stand by. You are forever marked by the Gospel so you can’t just blend into this world. In this session, Brody walks through Daniel 1 and speaks on how we’re to live as exiles but also be a light for Jesus. Everything ordained by God is being attacked by the world. But the world doesn’t get to determine Truth. Jesus devastated the kingdom of darkness with the light of the Gospel. He is on our side empowering us to fight. The world wants to tear you down in your faith but those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength. Don’t let people tell you how to act and finish the race strong. Resolve to live with conviction and pursue Christ. Social Media as a Purposed Resistance
Zach Mabry | Pure & Holy | BreakoutHow are you spending your time? What are you influencing yourself with? Believers, we need to be on guard because we are always being trained in what to think and how to think. Culture today is promoting a narrative that is hostile and contrary to Christianity. Social media doesn’t care about the truth, it just wants your mind. Don’t be surprised that you’re being attacked. The enemy wants to destroy you. If you’re not being renewed by the truth, you won’t be able to recognize the world's lies. Your mind is renewed by what you spend your time on. Be intentional with your time on social media. Point people to the Gospel and not to you. Let the Lord fill your life and set a standard for purposed resistance.
