Winter: The Frost of Apathy (and how to deal with it).
We’re in the thick of Winter, here in Pennsylvania. And there’s a lot we can learn from this season when it comes to relationships.
Every season of a relationship comes with important ingredients that can make or break your relationship. If you aren’t aware of what the seasons bring, you won’t be able to USE them to strengthen your relationship.
Today we’re talking about the season of Winter. It’s the season when things begin to cool off, and emotions begin to die down. It can be a season when people struggle with apathy in their relationship and feel like they’re stuck.
There’s a type of frost that happens in relationships as well, it’s the frost of apathy.
The Frost of Apathy in a Relationship
Winter has some really important aspects that we need. It’s a season of comfort and familiarity. It’s a season of getting used to the mundane, and making the most of day to day life — because romance isn’t just about the grand gestures, it’s about the regular moments of life. But sometimes, this comfort can turn into apathy. Winter is a season that you pass through, not stay in.
Seasons aren’t meant to be stayed in, they’re meant to be passed through.
We’ve got to be able to take the right steps in Winter, or we’ll end up getting stuck in a relationship that has frozen over. Tune in to today’s episode as we talk about the frost of apathy in a relationship, and why it’s one of the most dangerous aspect of winter.
We’ll also talk about HOW to get over the frost of apathy in a relationships, and three steps we can take to begin melting that frost as we continue our discussion on the four seasons of every healthy relationship, from my brand new book, Love In Every Season!

Colors of Fall: Questions To ASK Your Partner Not ASSUME
Today we’re talking questions to ask your partner, because we often assume instead of ask…and end up with some major conflict.
When it comes to relationships, things aren’t always as they appear. Every relationship goes through a season where they navigate through the realization that the person they’re with has flaws, failures, and sometimes — major issues.
True colors begin to shine through, and sometimes those colors are beautiful, but sometimes, they’re not so beautiful.
This, my friends, is the season of fall.
Fall is when your true colors start to shine through: your sins, struggles, failures and flaws. You realize you’re two different people with different expectations, needs, personalities, and most significantly — different backgrounds, family of origins, and ways of looking at the world.
Questions To Ask Your Partner – Not Assume
All the things you ASSUMED about this person, are revealed and replaced by the TRUTH of who this person actually is.
In order to really understand a person in their entirety, we’ve got to learn to ask more than we assume. So today we’re talking about specific areas you need to ASK and not ASSUME when it comes to learning about the person you’re with.
Today on the podcast we’re talking about this aspect of the season of fall and addressing questions to ask your partner, as we continue our discussion on the four seasons of every healthy relationship, from my brand new book, Love In Every Season!

Spring: Is Your Relationship Growing?
We are just ONE WEEK away from the release of my new book, Love In Every Season. So today’s question couldn’t have come at a better time.
We’re digging deep into the four seasons of a relationship starting with the season of Spring!
Spring is the season of growth, it’s the season when attraction is blossoming and emotions are blooming. It’s the season of planting the right seeds and taking out the weeds.
While there’s so much I could cover in the season of Spring (becoming friends before lovers, the four laws of attraction, redefining our “type”, planting the right seeds, etc — and I cover it ALL in Love In Every Season), today’s podcast episode is going to focus on one specific dynamic of Spring: growth.
Is your relationship growing?
What does it mean to be in a give-and-take relationship, and why does it matter? Relationships have to grow in order to survive. If you’re not seeing characteristics of growth in your relationship – something is wrong.

Dating Someone Who Is Divorced
Q: What advice do you have on dating someone who is divorced?
Dating someone who is divorced is a topic that has come up more and more over the years. With the age of divorce getting younger, and the number of divorces getting higher over the years – it makes sense that dating someone who is divorced is a topic that keeps coming back around during my question and answer time.
I have clients, friends, and family members who are divorced, and with that in mind, I wanted to make sure to answer this question in a way that honored the person who was asking the question – as well as respected those who have been divorced.
Stance vs. Status: Dating Someone Who Is Divorced
If you’ve read my blog or books, or listened to my podcast, at some point you’ve heard me say that in any relationship where there is conflict – there are always two people involved which means two people who need to take ownership of their role in that conflict. Divorce is no exception to that rule.
If we want to establish healthy relationships, we all have something to own in the process of building them. So my answer focuses a lot more on the stance of the person you’re dating, rather than their relationship status.
You’ll understand more about what I mean by this when you tune in to today’s episode about Dating Someone Who Is Divorced!
