Working Hard and Giving Back with World-Champion Shonny Vanlandingham 038
Send us a textShonny Vanlandingham isn't easy to keep up with! She became the most decorated American athlete in the history of the US Pro Mountain Bike Championship Series, formerly known as NORBA. She won 15 individual races, three overall NORBA Series Championships, and made the US National Mountain Bike Team seven times. Then she switched over to triathlon, and won the World Xterra Off-Road Triathlon Championship in 2010 at age 41! After she retired, she didn't slow down at all. Between basketball, motorcycles, shooting guns, backflips on the trampoline, starting a coffee bean company in Hawaii, cornhole, real estate, or her newfound passion for pickleball, she is staying pretty busy! Her charity work is featured in the documentary Moksha, where she went to help Nepali girls practice their mountain bike skills. She also recently began driving a massive fire truck to fight wildfires! We were lucky that she sat down long enough for us to chat with her today!! Find Shonny at-Her van in the desert on one of her adventures. Overcoming Obstacles with Pro Cyclist Peter Stetina 037
Send us a textPeter Stetina is an American professional cyclist who experienced success both domestically and overseas! He has completed each of the three Grand Tours multiple times, including two Tours de France. He has stood on many podiums across the world. In 2015, he suffered a major crash that destroyed his kneecap, which nearly required an amputation. Peter fought back and incredibly raced again that same calendar year here at the Tour of Utah. In 2019, Peter switched to primarily racing on dirt and gravel, and regained his passion for riding a bicycle. In October of 2020 he completed the fastest known time (FKT) on the iconic White Rim trail in Moab, after coming up just 16 seconds short in his previous attempt just a few days earlier, which is insane and shows how strong the dude is. Peter is a wonderful example of overcoming obstacles, and we were honored and grateful to learn from him!Find Peter at-IG- pstetinaSpecial love to-Clif BarThe Velominati Rules (Rule #1- Obey the rules.)Find Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!

Practicing Low-Carb Medicine with Dr. Greg Dennis 036
Send us a textWe are so glad that the Fit RX podcast was so highly recommended, that we had to check it out! Dr. Greg Dennis is a board-certified physician practicing in family medicine, which he's done for over 13 years. After recognizing the flaws in the medical system and observing that his patents weren't actually getting better, he started hitting the books. He found a way of life that wasn't the standard of care, but actually made people get better. He had the courage to share that with as many people as possible through his fantastic podcast, Fit RX. His wife Dr. Lydia Dennis moved over to a Direct Primary Care model of healthcare called Vibrant Life Direct Care, which he will be joining in February of 2021. He practices what he preaches, which is clear from the picture on this episode! It was a joy to speak with him, and we are grateful that he is brave enough to step out into the unknown and help people in the best way he knows how!Find Dr. Greg Dennis at-vibrantlifedc.comdrgreg@vibrantlife.comSpecial love to-The work of Dr. Ben BikmanThe work of Gin StephensWhoop wearablesFind Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!

Coaching the World's Worst Soccer Team with Thomas Rongen 033
Send us a textIn 2011, American Samoa was ranked dead-last in the FIFA International Rankings. The Pacific Island has 55,000 people, and very few resources to put towards soccer. They called for help, and coach Thomas Rongen came to help. It was so bad, he was told to bring 20 soccer balls with him so they could train properly. The story of the team working towards winning their first game is absolutely inspiring, and is told brilliantly by one of our favorite documentaries, Next Goal Wins, with has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 100%. It is now being made into a theatrical movie, set to release in 2021. Thomas was a delight to interview. Listen in as he shares his experience, and the personal growth he went through.Find Thomas at-The beach! :) Thomas has social accounts, like this one, but doesn't use them much. Pure Determination with Gold Medalist Derek Parra 031
Send us a textGoosebumps!!! Interviewing gold medalist Derek Parra IN THE VERY BUILDING, the Utah Olympic Oval, where he took the gold medal on his home ice in 2002 was insane. He was getting so excited, pointing out of the office windows out to the ice, talking about the crowd and the excitement, this was electric. Most people don't know what Derek had to go through to get there, and his story is absolutely captivating, as he wrote in his book, Reflections In The Ice. Being introduced to roller skating races to win a soda because he was thirsty. Eating stale food because he was hungry. Transferring from roller to ice so that he could represent his country in the Olympic Games. Making it to Nagano in '98, only to be told THE NIGHT BEFORE THE RACE that due to a technically in timing in a qualifying race, that he couldn't skate. And then.... He stepped out onto his home ice in 2002. And...... He was the first ever Lation to win gold in the Winter Olympics. The event has been skated faster since then. But NEVER in the Olympic Games. This was a special interview. So grateful for Derek, his determination, and for his direct influence in my life, helping me learn the sport. Why We Get Sick with the Incredible Dr. Ben Bikman 030
Send us a textTHE Dr. Benjamin Bikman. What an privilege. It was a pleasure to chat with him, and to learn from him over the years. Dr. Bikman is one of the most respected insulin researchers in the world. In 2018, he stepped onto the stage at Low-Carb Breckenridge and delivered his talk, which shot him into the stratosphere of the low-carb world. Since then, he has continued his marvelous research, started a supplement company, and wrote a wonderful book called "Why We Get Sick". His discourse at BYU called "The Plagues of Prosperity" is absolutely phenomenal, and this conversation is full of humility and wisdom. I had to pinch myself a few times during this talk, it was an absolute honor to host him. Find Dr. Ben Bikman at-IG- benbikmandphdInsulin IQGethlth.comThe Frosted Mimi-Wheat's video. The Human That Forever Influenced My Career with Bob Seebohar 029
Send us a textIf you have ever worked with us, are working with us, or will work with us, you are working with our amazing guest by proxy. This episode was special. I had the opportunity to thank the dude who completely shifted my career forever. Bob Seebohar did a call eight years ago talking about "Metabolic Efficiency" and how to burn fat as fuel as an endurance athlete by embracing dietary fat and reducing carbohydrates. At the time, it blew my mind. Bob was one of the first US Triathlon Level III Coaches in the country. He now has a bunch of letters behind his name, and runs several successful companies, including eNRG, which is his flagship company. He also makes delicious snacks that fit his program with his company Birota Foods! This was an absolute honor and I will be forever grateful for Bob and his work.
