The Alzheimer's Antidote with Amy Berger, CNS, MS! 068
Send us a text Amy Berger, MS, CNS, returns to Boundless Body Radio! After helping us simplify and demystify how we choose to use carbohydrates in our diets, this time we focused on her first book, The Alzheimer's Antidote: Using a Low-Carb, High-Fat Diet to Fight Alzheimer's Disease, Memory Loss, and Cognitive Decline. Amy helps us view Alzheimer's Disease as one with metabolic roots, and the reason why some people now call it "type 3 diabetes". Amy has an incredible website and blog, named after her company, Tuit Nutrition. She has written several books, including The Stall Slayer, and End Your Carb Confusion, which she wrote with another one of our former guests, Dr. Eric Westman, in 2020. We are so grateful for Amy and her awesome work!Find Amy at-tuitnutrition.comYoutube- Tuit Nutrition- Keto Without the Crazy!Keto Without the Crazy Masterclass!Twitter- @tuitnutritionCheck this out-Randomized crossover trial of a modified ketogenic diet in Alzheimer's disease. 2/23/2021Find Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!

The Vegetarian Myth with Bestselling Author Lierre Keith 067
Send us a textSo you think you love animals? We think Lierre Keith loves them more. After strictly following a vegan diet for two decades, and the expense of her own health, she had to begin eating animal products again. After learning the truth about the sustainability, politics, and human health aspect of only eating plants, she wrote the highly acclaimed The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability in 2009. The book is hard hitting and honest, with a few hilarious anecdotes mixed in (we had to have her tell us the lettuce/slug story!). Lierre helps us realize that, no matter what we choose to eat, something has to die. It's a complicated and sobering thought, but facing the truth helps us eat more mindfully and thankfully. We are grateful for Lierre and her courage to tell the truth, regardless of the outcome!Find Lierre at-Lierrekeith.comFind Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!

Overcoming Adversity with Empathy with ER Doctor Cameron Meyer! 064
Send us a textWhat an incredible interview with Dr. Cameron Meyer. Dr. Meyer is an attending physician in the emergency room at the Fairfield Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He is known as "The Jack Of All Trades" by people who know him. Be he just likes to help people when they need it the most, on what is usually one of the worst days for his patients. A few years ago, he was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia, and was told that he had 5 years to live. But after grappling with the news, he pressed forward with more empathy for the people he serves, and is doing very well! He is such a kind and caring person, and we are so grateful to him, and all the healthcare workers out there helping us all when we need it the most!(Try not to find him, since he's in the ER, but just in case...) Mastering Endurance with Bestselling Professor Timothy Noakes! 061
Send us a textProfessor Timothy Noakes shouldn't need much of an introduction! He is an OG in the world of health and fitness. He is a bestselling author of several books. Lore of Running was written in 1986, and is considered to be a bible for the sport! It has been revised several times, and he is working on a new revision as we speak! In total, he has written over 750 scientific books and articles. Yet, in 2014, one of his Tweets about a low-carb diet was targeted, and an intense legal battle ensued. After years in the courtroom, he was exonerated, and he can now speak the truth about human health. We chatted about his book Waterlogged: The Serious Problem of Overhydration in Endurance Sports, which is how I originally found his work. We are so grateful for Prof. Noakes and his career, and his willingness to fight for the truth!Find Prof. Tim Noakes at-thenoakesfoundation.orgFind Boundless Body at- myboundlessbody.com Book a session with us here!
