64: Sharing Faith Fearlessly: Tips on Sharing Your Testimony in Authentic Natural Ways

I love to share about the gospel of Jesus Christ with my online audience, but it wasn't always that way! Today Neil and I dig into the topic of sharing about your faith online or with others around you, fearlessly and without hesitation. We talk about why it was so scary at first, how I got over that fear and what led me to a passion for sharing the gospel online. We talk about what topics people are seeking answers for most and how to share in natural and effective ways, why it's a lie that you can't talk about faith at work or school, and how to get help with and get better at sharing your faith with others.  KiwiCo.com/MINTARROW for your first month FREE on select cratesStoryworth.com/MINTARROW for $10 off your first purchase Show Notes:Book “The Power of Everyday Missionaries” by Clayton M. 63: Infertility Awareness: Kendyl Madsen (Corrine's best friend) Shares About Her Struggles with Infertility Including 4 Miscarriages and 3 Rounds of IVF to Get Her Two Miracle Babies Here

Infertility affects about 6.1 million women in the united states alone, according to the CDC. And since April is infertility and infant loss awareness month, I asked one of my very best friends Kendyl Madsen, who knows the struggle of infertility better than almost anyone else I know, to share her story of getting her two babies here after hundreds of shots, tests and three full rounds of IVF. Kendyl was gracious enough to share her entire journey of ups and downs with getting pregnant and losing pregnancies, what they tried, how it felt, and most importantly, what helped her most from friends and loved ones who supported her through these trials. I'm confident that Kendyl's story will provide a lot of hope for other couples hoping to get pregnant, and more understanding and compassion for those who have loved ones who struggle with infertility or infant loss and how we can best support them. Beach Body: Text MINTARROW to 303030 for a special free trial membership!Causebox.com/mintarrow and use code mintarrow to get your first box for 30% off! Show Notes:Kendyl’s Instagram https://www.instagram.com/kendylmadsen/?hl=en Produced by Dear MediaSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

61: Alcoholism Awareness Month: Where to Find Help + AA 12-Step Concepts That Will Help Anyone Right Now

Alcohol Awareness Month is a public health program organized by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence as a way of increasing outreach and education regarding the dangers of alcoholism and issues related to alcohol. The program was started in April 1987 with the intention of targeting college-aged students who might be drinking too much as part of their newfound freedom. It has since become a national movement to draw more attention to the causes and effects of alcoholism as well as how to help families and communities deal with drinking problems. Since Neil and I are well acquainted with the 12 steps of recovery, and especially since Neil began his recovery journey in a traditional 12 step non-denominational meeting founded on the principles of AA, we decided this month we would share some of the basic concepts behind Alcoholics Anonymous, especially since right now in isolation so many people are suffering with their addictions or realizing they might have a problem that they need help with. We really believe this topic will reach everyone at some point in some capacity, whether you yourself struggle with addiction or someone you love does. We hope that today’s episode sheds light on an issue that’s sometimes hard to find solid solutions with, and that if you know someone who might be struggling that you’ll share it with them. LaurelSprings.com/MintArrow for your waived registration fee.Causebox.com/MintArrow with code: MintArrow for 30% off your order. Show Notes: Neil’s favorite talk on taking it “one day at a time”.  https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/d-todd-christofferson/give-us-this-day-our-daily-bread/ Find a local Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting https://www.aa.org/pages/en_US/find-aa-resources Find an ARP meeting (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Addiction Recovery Program) https://addictionrecovery.churchofjesuschrist.org/find-a-meeting?lang=eng Sexaholics Anonymous (SA) meetings https://www.sa.org/meetings/ Overeaters Anonymous (OA) meetings https://oa.org/find-a-meeting/?type=0 Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings https://www.na.org/meetingsearch/ Fox news article on relapse due to coronavirus isolation. 60: The American Moms and Politics: How to Stay Informed, Teach Your Kids and Be a Good Citizen in Highly Political Times

This episode was recorded several weeks before COVID-19 became the hot-topic global issue that we're now living in, but in some ways it makes the content even more applicable to what we're facing currently. In today's episode, I interview twin sisters, moms, political junkies, former White House and Capitol Hill staffers Andrea Reeve and Brittany Richman who are both incredibly passionate about American politics. Andrea and Brittany answer some of my toughest questions about how to get the very most well-rounded and credible news sources to form your own opinions, how to talk to your kids about politics, how to be good citizens and neighbors, how to talk about things that matter with people you love without becoming contentious, and why it matters SO MUCH to be informed with our country. I really believe you'll find so many takeaways that will help all of us navigate these current uncharted waters with the rapid changes we're seeing in our country, now and leading up to an election year. Visit Beautycounter.com with Promo Code: MINTARROW for 10% off your purchase of $100 or moreGet your first month FREE on select crates at KiwiCo.com/MintArrow Show Notes: American Moms Instagram https://www.instagram.com/theamericanmoms/The American Moms website http://theamericanmoms.com/Book recommendation “You Learn by Living” by Eleanore Roosevelt  Best books on politics for kids http://theamericanmoms.com/12-of-the-best-books-to-teach-patriotism-to-your-children/American Moms recommendations for easy to follow news sources:@minutewithmads on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/minutewithmads/?hl=enThe Skim morning news email and afternoon podcast https://www.theskimm.com/BBC News https://www.bbc.com/newsThe Wallstreet Journal https://www.wsj.com/Washington Post https://www.washingtonpost.com/C-span https://www.c-span.org/ Produced by Dear MediaSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
