Today’s guest, Bilel Jamoussi, is an engineer, a leader, a diplomat. He discusses his journey from Tunisia to Geneva. He talks about his time at Nortel and applying for patents and coming up with standards. He also discusses the ITU and his time as the Chief of Study Groups Department. About Dr. Bilel Jamoussi In 2010, I joined ITU as Chief of Study Groups Department in Geneva, Switzerland. In ITU, I help coordinate standards in a new era characterized by digital transformation that requires an increased collaboration with vertical sectors such as healthcare, transportation, utilities, and banking. Bilel Jamoussi an engineer, a leader, a diplomat originally from Tunisia. A Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Penn State And have over 22 Granted, and patents filed with the US in a variety of fields. Worked in the telco industry for over 15 years with companies like Bell and Nortel, a member of the IEEE and currently working for the ITU, one of the UN agencies based out of Geneva.

About Dr. Chaesub Lee Dr. Chaesub Lee has been involved in the fields of telecommunication and ICT for 35 years: as a technical expert for 27 of those years, and as an Elected Official of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for the past 8 years. Dr. Lee has contributed to the development of Telecom/ICT technology and services in areas as diverse as, Next-Generation Networks (NGN), IPTV, cloud computing, Fixed networks/Machine Learning (ML) for 5G, application of emerging technology (Quantum, Blockchain, AI, and ML) into Telecoms/ICTs. He launched initiatives for inclusion such as AI4Good, the Financial Inclusion Global Initiative (FIGI), and the Road Safety initiative. He started his professional life in 1986 as a researcher at Korea Telecom. After 17 years he took up a role at his country's Electronic and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), where he stayed for the next eight years. Subsequently, he worked at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), and then as a senior advisor to the ICT and Future Planning at the Korean Ministry, (MSIP).

He found fashion as one of the first causes of that as well as the industries that can most influence equity in society. Together with his co-founder, they created Palta, first as a research group in the community. Thousands of people worldwide have joined the movement and formed part of the Palta community for inclusive experience design.
