018. Hack Your Air & Improve Lung Function
In this week's episode I highlight, five hacks (and a bonus six hack) of how to improve the air quality around you, as well as improve lung function. Ever since the last two years, since we were bombarded with the "California fires," I've been thinking of ways to protect my children and improve overall immunity. This is even more important now with the Coronavirus hysteria, and people trying to protect themselves from airborne pathogens. I talk about an air purifier that is robust and kills viruses, my top supplements for improving lung function (as well as two foods to eliminate if you're lungs are compromised), my favorite face mask, and a cheap device that can radically improve lung health and eradicate bacteria in the lungs. If you're interested in reaching a higher level in your life or improving your health and getting to the root problem of whatever ails you, please contact me at https://www.joelevancoaching.com/ for more information.

017. The 5 Fictitious Foods (That Are Not Healthy for Kids)
In this episode I highlight the Five so called "healthy foods" that you might be eating or you might be feeding your kids, thinking that you're providing them nourishing foods. If you or your kids have bloating or learning/focusing issues, or autoimmune conditions; some of these issues could be related to your diet. A lot of this information can be found in Dr Gundry's book "The Plant Paradox" and the "The Plant Paradox Cookbook." Dr Gundry is a heart surgeon who has treated his own health issues as well as his patients using diet and supplements. Dr Gundry also focuses on the lectins found in foods that appear to be a huge culprit in autoimmune conditions. 015. Antiaging & Regenerative Medicine - Dr Jillian Shannon
This week’s episode I had the pleasure of interviewing Dr Jillain Shannon who’s a functional medicine doctor that specializes in anti-aging and regenerative medicine in San Francisco, CA. She works closely with regulating hormones, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, insomnia, autoimmune conditions, thyroid disease, joint injections and IV therapies.I was intrigued to meet Dr Shannon because she’s practicing cutting edge therapies such as intravenous NAD therapy, prolozone therapy for the joints, or PRP as well as “biohacking” or optimizing sexual function in men and women with “O” and “P” Shots as well as Gains Wave Technology. While I interviewed Dr Shannon I had her hook me up to my first IV NAD drip. NAD is an acronym for nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, and is a coenzyme found in every cell within the body and is involved in many processes. Why get NAD IV therapy? Well, NAD has been shown to do the following things:- Assist with addiction recovery (alcohol, opioids, nicotine)- Improve depression- Improve brain health and neurological function- Improve mental clarity- Improve brain regeneration- Boost energy levels- Reduce overall fatigue- Restore muscle function and athletic performanceI was slightly nervous as people that have gotten NAD drips in the past have stated they feel a severe tightening in their chest, but then it later it goes away and they feel euphoric. Dr Shannon explained to me that’s because most physicians aren’t trained properly and are putting too much NAD in your system too fast. My first experience with NAD was actually quite pleasant and had no tightening in the chest at all. This is a great episode if you’re interested in how to get to the root cause of some malingering health conditions and how Dr Shannon tackles patient’s long term health issues. Dr Shannon is a pro when it comes to anti-aging and regenerative medicine and in the fall is looking to add peptides and ozone therapy to her already booming practice. I can’t wait to go in and get treated by her then again and do a part II with her. In this episode, I revisited Tony Robbin’s hit book Unshakeable: Your Financial Freedom Playbook Creating Peace of Mind in a World of Volatility. In one of Tony’s chapters, titled Winter is Coming, But When… he talks about the seven “financial freedom facts.” After re-reading that chapter, I felt great ease with the whole financial crash and downturn during this Corona Virus scare. 012. Kid's Health, Pregnancy Problems, & Vaccines - Dr Kristine Hicks
This week, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr Kristine Hicks. Dr Hicks is a chiropractor who specializes in the area of treating children and pre/post pregnant women. I first met Dr Hicks almost six years ago, after my first son turned about one year’s old. My son had just started walking, and then all of a sudden, he had started falling repeatedly. My wife noticed he was limping on one leg and it appeared to be the cause of all his falling. Unbeknownst to me at the time that there were chiropractors who specialized in the area of treating children. We made an appointment to see our pediatrician as well as Dr Hicks. Our pediatrician looked at our son quickly and performed a few tests. Afterwards, our pediatrician told us our son’s other leg was the problem, not the one that we saw him limping on. Then, he left us with saying, “Yeah there’s nothing we can do, this is normal actually, I see it all the time it’s just part of growing up.” The following day, we saw Dr Hicks. After performing her screening tests for our son, she concurred with us that the leg our son was limping on was the problem. Dr HIcks adjusted our son, and he was 90% better that day, walking more smoothly and not falling. After his second treatment, he was back to normal. Since then, we haven’t stopped going back to Dr Hicks for monthly routine maintenance.Like I mentioned, most of Dr Hicks clientele are also pregnant woman. After interviewing her, I couldn’t believe all the benefits women see from chiropractic pre, during, and after the birth of their child. Chiropractic can help with fertility, reduce breached births, and much more.Lastly, Dr HIcks is well versed in natural medicine and the dangers in vaccines. This is not a conversation to bash vaccines, but really just an opportunity to share knowledge. There were a lot of things I was unaware of when it comes to vaccines. We also talk about the Coronavirus and simple ways to keep yourself healthy. Tune into this episode and leave a comment of what you liked. 011. 5 Hacks to Better Parenting
This week I wanted to do a solo-some sharing some of my top parenting hacks. Other than marriage, being a parent has probably been one of the most challenging things I’ve had to embark on in terms of personal development. You can be the Dalai Lama or Ghandi and tell people how they should act, and what peace means, but when a six year old tells you “No,” and disrespects you multiple times, it can be quite difficult to feel Zen at that very moment.Last year I attended an amazing workshop hosted by Ralphie Jacobs, the creator of Simply on Purpose. Ralphie can also be found on Instagram @simplyonpurpose. Ralphie is an amazing educator when it comes to parenting and after the workshop, I looked thru all my notes, and noticed that I had written down 27 points that I felt were the most useful. I felt like it might be a bit much to share all 27 with you, so I distilled the top five points and in this week’s episode, I lay them out for you:1.What do you pay attention to?2. Be in CONTROL — Be the Model for Change3. Misbehavior is derived from two things: 1. They haven’t been taught it yet 2. The environment is reinforcing the behavior4. Family Meetings5. 8:1 (Positive Reinforcement)Listen to the episode for more where I go into way more detail about these topics.

010. Master Your Mind With Neurofeedback - Angela Martinucci
At the end of the day, there’s nothing that more impacts your life more profoundly than your state of mind On this week’s episode, I talk to none other than Angela Martinucci. Angela is a Human Potential Coach and a Theta Healer, but is mostly known as being a Neuroptimal Neurofeedback Practitioner. I first met Angela at the 2017 Bulletproof Biohacking Conference, where she hooked me up to a Neuroptimal neurofeedback device. Angela didn’t discover neurofeedback because she was someone trying to “biohack” her life. Angela was diagnosed with breast cancer over seven years ago. Angela felt her world crumbling. As a nutrition coach, and someone who lived a healthy lifestyle, the diagnosis of breast cancer shattered her confidence and mental edge. Angela tells the story of how neurofeedback helped regulate her emotions and bounce her back to recovery after her cancer diagnosis. Angela knew something was working, as when she met with other cancer survivors, she noticed they were all taking their Xanax and sleeping pills to help regulate their stresses. However, with the help of neurofeedback, Angela was able to emotionally self-regulate without pills and fall asleep without any harsh medications. Brain training is amazing for stress. People start reporting “oh I’m sleeping better,” “I’m just bouncing back from stressors,” “I just feel more calm…” - everybody needs that. We talk about the root of disease, and stress is the leading cause of that so if we can help to manage that, that can be pretty powerfulAngela has amazing stories of how neurofeedback has helped her children with anxiety, learning disorders, and just overall emotional regulation (especially when it comes to competitive sports). Many of Angela’s clients come to her for issues with sleep, anxiety, and PTSD, which have disappeared after just 10 sessions. Angela has worked with professional athletes, high level Crossfit competitors, jiu jitsu champions, who have all told her that neurofeedback put them in flow states during competitions. After working with many professional athletes, Angela has began to focus her efforts with professional sports teams such as the Oakland A’s, who have noticed a tremendous shift in their players. This is an amazing episode guys, and I hope you learn something new that you didn’t. 009. Hacking Viruses & Colds
This week I do a "solo-sode" and talk about how to help eliminate or prevent colds and viruses. Although two separate things, I felt it was necessary to talk about viruses given the recent scare of the Coronavirus plaguing the world. In this episode I talk about a type of diet to use during a cold/virus, a western approach, and eastern approach, and a biohacking approach. If you like, blend all three into your protocol. I've been playing with all these approaches lately in my life, and have noticed my cold duration has lessened dramatically. Also a father of two young boys (6 & 2 yrs at the moment), I'ma always looking for better strategies to implement with them, what they like and don't like, and what seems to be lessening the duration of their colds.
