Passionate about history, art and archaeology, however, she has always cultivated a passion for the countryside – her Bolognese ancestors cultivated peaches and maize – and, after working as a film producer in partnership with Luca Barbareschi, at the fateful 40 she finally fulfilled the dream of his life: to devote himself to the land by starting, almost by chance, to produce wine.The story begins in 1997 with the purchase of Borgo Scopeto in the Chianti Classico area , between Siena and Vagliagli . The Borgo, which today is a relais de charme called Borgo Scopeto Relais , is so spectacular that it was chosen by director Gary Winick to set part of his film "Letters to Juliet", starring Amanda Seyfried, Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero . The film, released in 2010 , surprisingly climbed the US charts : the presence, in a scene of the film, of Brunello Caparzo,positively influenced sales in the United States. As the 5th generation in the family, Claudia and Silvia, run the company with their parents, Renato and Dina. They spend most of their time in the vineyard.
