If you want a story of inspiration, motivation and hope, you’ve come to the right place. From living on the streets of Venice CA to living his dreams, Charles is a prime of example to never give up. About Charles I am a family man, a fitness coach, a business owner, a student, and a member of the recovery community. This was not always the case. I spent over a decade struggling with alcoholism and had no interest in my health. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis of the liver due to my alcoholism and unhealthy lifestyle at the age of 26. That is when I knew things needed to change. My sobriety date is April 3rd, 2018. Nothing I have accomplished since would have been possible without the steps and fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous, my Higher Power, nutrition, fitness, and A LOT of hard work. My wife, Alicia, and I got married in 2021. Our relationship has been about adventures from day 1. At least once a month since we have met we have gone to a National Park or another state with little to no plan and just explored. This is a huge source of enjoyment for us. Our son, Charlie, was born March 3rd, 2022 and he has been the biggest blessing either of us have ever experienced. We started our business, Changes Health & Fitness, shortly after getting married. Our goal is to help as many people reach their health and fitness goals as possible. Fitness and nutrition are more than just hobbies/interests for me. I literally would have died if it wasn’t for a total lifestyle change. I have received so many benefits from living a healthy, active lifestyle and I want to share that with the world. Since getting sober I have done 1 Bodybuilding show, 2 Spartan Races, 6 5Ks, tried yoga, hiked a bunch, and have been in the gym 3-5 times per week.
