It’s been said that the Definition of Hell is:
“At the end of your life, the man you became meets the man you could have become.”
This happens to the men who choose to settle for a life of predictability, comfort and safety…at the expense of living their Purpose.
This podcast is for the man who rejects good because he settles for nothing less than Great.
That man you “could have become” is the Great Man Within you.
Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) calls this the “other self.”
Stephen Pressfield (War of Art) calls this “the unlived life.”
Wayne Dyer (Wishes Fulfilled) calls this “the invisible self.”
Dominick Quartuccio and Bryan Stacy are your guides to helping you discover and live The Great Man Within You.

Afraid to Stay Silent, Terrified to Speak Up (Antiracism episode)
#131: “I’m afraid to stay silent…I’m terrified to speak up and be criticized…so what do I do?” This is the #1 question I’m getting from white men. White men, that is, who are feeling the urge to step off the sidelines and become actively antiracist. But that first step – identifying oneself visibly – is proving harder than expected for many. That’s because many are feeling caught in a Catch-22: If I stay silent…I’ll be criticized If I speak up…I’ll be criticized So what do I do? In today’s episode, I address this question head on. I’ll walk you through a roadmap - informed by antiracist teachers, leaders and authorities - on how to speak up right now. In this Episode: A roadmap for going from silent to active support The definition of racial stamina and how to develop it Why simply believing “I’m one of the good guys” carries no weight without doing your homework The reasons why some businesses who are speaking out in support…are getting criticized and cancelled (hint is in the next bullet) The difference between “performative allyship” and “authentic allyship” Why you need to learn how to listen deeply to the tone and tempo of the movement Resources: White Fragility: Why It’s So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism by Robin Diangelo Me and White Supremacy: Combat Racism, Change the World and Become a Good Ancestor by Layla F. Antiracism for White Men Ready to Step Off the Sideline (DQ Solo)
#130: More and more white men are coming to me with a version of the following: “It’s long overdue that I speak up against injustice and systemic oppression… …but I don’t know where to begin.” Now, I am not an expert or an authority in racial issues or antiracist practices. But it is time to step off the sidelines. So let’s have a candid conversation about how to do that. Again, because I am no expert, the vast majority of what you’ll hear in this episode is me reporting from the experts: Authors Leaders Activists Anti-Racist Teachers And of Course, People of Color’s Lived Experiences In this Episode Why the racial travesties of the last few weeks “feel so different” to the white community than previous travesties Why white men need to come off the sideline and be actively antiracist Why your grandchildren would be ashamed if you stayed on the sideline right now The 4 antiracist principles – informed by people of color – that I’m using to guide my journey Resources: Trevor Noah YouTube Video: George Floyd, Minneapolis Protests, Ahmaud Aubrey, & Amy Cooper Anti-Racism Resources for White People

5 Questions to Bring Depth to Male Friendships
#129: In my last 5 years of doing deep inner work with other men, it’s become painfully obvious to me how men go about the most important parts of our lives…on our own. Grappling with existential questions about finding calling and living Purpose. Feeling stuck in a life that’s not inspiring but not knowing what to do about it. Navigating the shame that comes with secretive compulsive behaviors. Complicated challenges within romantic relationships and the sex life. There’s an extraordinary opportunity to find support, guidance and inspiration within your group of male friends… …if you’re willing to summon the courage to bring a new level of depth to these friendships. Here are 5 questions to ask yourself about the quality and depth of your male friendships: Is your primary form of connection with other men limited to business, sports and activities that revolve around alcohol? Do you have behaviors, stories from your past or secrets that you keep hidden from your friends (for fear of them looking at you differently?) Do you have friends who truly listen to you when you have an issue…or are you surrounded by a bunch of advice-giving machines? Do you have desires that you fear expressing to your group of friends because you’ll be ridiculed? Do you have friends who regularly speak to your best self and call you forward to a higher standard? In this Episode: The 4 primary forms of connection for most men (I call these the 4 B’s) 3 myths that prevent the forging and deepening of male friendships 5 questions to ask yourself about the quality and present-day depth of your male relationships 3 ways you can lead your friends to forge a deeper bond with one another

Its Time to Get More Curious About Your Father (DQ Solo)
#127: “Somewhere around 40 or 45, a movement toward the father happens naturally; a desire to see him more clearly and draw closer to him.” - Iron John, by Robert Bly Over Memorial Day Weekend, I took a father-son trip with Dom Sr. to The Catskills. I wanted to thank him for something he did for me at age 11… …that is in part, highly responsible for my work in the world today. The funny thing is, I only came to the realization within the last few weeks that my father forever altered the trajectory of my life in the most powerful of ways. You see, if you’re like me… Your view of your father has likely become static...fixed...over time. This holds true whether your father is alive, dead or alive and not part of your life. There’s a certain fixed lens through which you view him: “That’s just how he is…” “He would never do that…” “He always…” It’s as if you’ve seen all there is to see. Known all there is to know. When you view your father through a fixed lens…you limit him. And in turn, you limit yourself. Because whenever you view anyone through a fixed lens – let alone one of the most important relationships in your life – you yourself cease to grow. When you view someone through a dynamic, growth-oriented lens…you yourself cannot help but grow. It’s Time to Get More Curious About Your Father. There are worlds within him that you know nothing about He’s had impacts on your life to which you are presently oblivious Your present dynamic with him – whether he’s in your life or not – has the potential to be radically upgraded Today’s episode is a call for you to get more curious about your father and your relationship with him. You’ll be amazed at the wisdom, insights, and potential healing you will find.

Build a High-Performance & Injury Free Body feat Chloe Corpuz
#126: I think a lot of guys who like to go hard with their workouts can relate to the experience of constantly having some form of pain, strain or even injury in the body on a regular basis. It doesn’t have to be that way. 3 years ago, I made a decision to prioritize “being injury free” right up alongside “looking and performing my best.” At 41 years of age, my body is free of strain, chronic pain and injury... ...all while I’m pushing my physical limits further than ever before. So today, I’m bringing to you one of my favorite personal trainers – Chloe Corpuz – to train you on how to build a high-performance and injury free body. Who is Chloe Corpuz: Chloe is a fitness trainer at Equinox She’s an elite dancer: 2 years with the Los Angeles Lakers Girls and another two with the New York City Knicks Dancers She’s performed on stages with Gwen Stefani (who’s one of her idols), Wyclef, Ashanti, T-Pain and Fat Joe I’ve hired Chloe a few times to run zoom workouts for the men in The Great Man Mastermind and the guys love her In this Episode: Chloe breaks down a typical 60 minute workout, and allocates how much of that time should be dedicated to the warm up, the workout and the cooldown The two most difficult areas of the body to activate, and why you need to activate them in your warm-up to facilitate your strongest and healthiest workout The three most common injuries and ailments that Chloe sees in her classes The difference between Dynamic and Static stretching (and why one belongs in your warm up and the other in your cool down) Chloe de-mystifies what fascia is and why foam rolling will save you many injuries down the road Why diversifying your workouts can reduce your potential for injury Connect With Chloe: On Instagram: @ChloCorpuz On YouTube: 30-Minute Full Body Tone Her Website: https://www.chloecorpuz.com/about Hire Chloe for Private 1-on-1 or Small Group Zoom Workouts: Chloecorpuz12@gmail.com

3 Signs Your Mind is Too Loud (DQ Solo)
#122: “You are not your mind.” – Eckhart Tolle Your mind is but one part of a highly complex system known as You. There’s also your feelings, emotions, desires, intuition, instinct and many others parts of you… …that are often drowned up by the window-shattering base-thumping internal surround sound system that’s know as your mind. In today’s episode of The Great Man Within Podcast, we talk about 3 signs that your mind is too loud: You need to be yelled at in order to hear/listen/motivate You need extremes because you can’t feel the subtleties Something has to break before you pay attention (like injuries or relationships) Join me in today’s solo episode on how these signs show up in your life… …and how to turn down the volume of your mind so you can tap into the other wise parts that make up You. -Dominick
