“At the end of your life, the man you became meets the man you could have become.”
This happens to the men who choose to settle for a life of predictability, comfort and safety…at the expense of living their Purpose.
This podcast is for the man who rejects good because he settles for nothing less than Great.
That man you “could have become” is the Great Man Within you.
Napoleon Hill (Think and Grow Rich) calls this the “other self.”
Stephen Pressfield (War of Art) calls this “the unlived life.”
Wayne Dyer (Wishes Fulfilled) calls this “the invisible self.”
Dominick Quartuccio and Bryan Stacy are your guides to helping you discover and live The Great Man Within You.

How to Ask for What You Want in the Bedroom with Lila Donnolo
#220: Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin One of the traps we can fall into sexually is figuring out what we like, and then turning the fulfillment of that desire into a mechanical series of repetitive experiences. Over time, what was once exhilarating becomes rote, dull, and mundane. If you’re a long term relationship, you may perceive that as a failing of your partner and begin fantasizing about others as a way of bringing more diversity into your sexual experiences. If you’re single or dating, you may be enjoying a diversity of sexual partners, but if you’re constantly leading them down the same path…you’re shortchanging yourself by failing to explore the universes of sexual pleasure available to you. So what if you were equipped with a simple practice, a technique, or a game even…that allowed both you and your partner a simple and safe way to explore more of your desires and ask for more of what you want in the bedroom? Well, our guest today, Lila Donnolo, is going to equip you with one such game that Bryan and I can’t wait to bring to our partners. Who is Lila Donnolo? She’s the host of the Horizontal with Lila Podcast, which was recently named by Marie Claire as one of the Top Sex Podcasts of 2021 She’s a sex and intimacy coach for those who long for more pleasure and desire a sexier more fulfilling romantic relationship She’s a master facilitator of exercises and games – one of which you’ll learn today – to help expand sexual pleasure and deepen intimacy both in and out of the bedrooms She’s expert in enthusiastic consent communication skills In this Episode: How to cultivate a treasure trove of knowledge about the sexual desires of your partner Why having a sexual “ledger sheet” is a surefireway of killing sexual magnetism Language you can use to build trust and deepen intimacy in and out of the bedroom One killer game you can play with your partner to unlock entirely new dimensions of sexual pleasure (and to enhance the pleasures you already know you enjoy) RESOURCES Lila’s Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/horizontal-with-lila/id1238031115 Lila’s Website: https://horizontalwithlila.com Lila’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/horizontalwithlila/?hl=en Our interview on Lila’s Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/horizontal-with-lila/id1238031115?i=1000435506161 Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin

4 Ways a Man Can Summon His Greatest Strength (DQ Solo)
#219: Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin ---------------------------------------------- As men, we want access to our deepest reserves of strength. But there’s a price of admission to access that depth of strength. Here are 4 different ways you can “pay” to access that strength: #1. Taking the reins where leadership has been abdicated. #2. Embracing adversity as a training ground to build strength. #3. Being the island of calm amidst the storm. #4. Surrendering to a power greater than yourself.

Real Talk About Depression and Suicide w/mental health comedian Frank King
#218: Join the Great Man Within Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin We’re about to head into some dark territory. Depression and suicide are some of the heaviest topics known to man. …and ironically, I suspect you will find this to be one of the most enjoyable, humorous and informative interviews we’ve ever done. And that’s all thanks to the magic of our special guest, who I’ll introduce in a few moments. The National Institute of Mental Health reports that in 2018, 48,000 Americans lost their lives to suicide. That number is expected to potentially double during last year’s pandemic era. Every 9 minutes, a person takes their life…which means by the end of this episode, 5 or 6 more people will no longer be with us. Chances are very good that you know someone who’s either taken their lives…or have someone close to you who’s considered it. Chances are nearly 100% that you know someone who deals with some form of depression, whether they’ve revealed it to you or not. Having an open, candid dialogue about these darker subjects is essential to create safe environments for those who feel like their depressive or suicidal thoughts are unsafe to express…for fear of judgment, not being understood or triggering someone else’s discomfort.
One of our principles of being a Great Man is to create environments where we and those we care about can thrive. That includes creating safe spaces for the people in our lives who struggle with depression and suicide to be able to open up to us, feel seen and heard and supported. Our special guest today, Frank King, does an incredible service in equipping us with practical guidance on how to do exactly that…all while having a few laughs along the way. Who is Frank King? Frank is a mental health comedian specializing in depression and suicide Performed with the likes of Jim Carrey, Dennis Miller, Ellen DeGeneres, Rosie O’Donnell and Adam Sandler 6-time TEDx talker and coach for how you can land your TEDx talk Corporate keynote speaker He himself has Major Depressive Disorder and Chronic Suicidal Ideation and has come so close to taking his own life that he says, in his own words, “I know what the barrel of my gun tastes like.” In This Episode: What NOT to say to a person who has revealed their depression to you What TO say to a person who has revealed their depression to you What TO say to a person who reveals they are suicidal 3 staggering statistics on how many people contemplate, attempt and succeed in suicide How the Pandemic caused “Situational Depression” to explode onto the scene Frank’s 5-step self-care process that helps him fortify his inner foundation Resources Referenced in this Episode “A Matter of Laugh or Death” (Frank’s TEDx Talk): https://youtu.be/aBUXND5BD4M Hire Frank to Speak: https://www.thementalhealthcomedian.com 6 Things That Will Kill Your Chances of Getting a TEDx Talk (Free PDF): https://www.yourtedxcoach.com “Guts, Grit and the Grind” Free Audiobook: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/1nH4mhj/audiobook Mental Health Resources: MentalHealthFirstAid.org Text or call Frank (If you are on the edge and need support): 858-405-5653 Another Episode on Depression, Suicide and Men’s Mental Health Episode #98 of The Great Man Within Podcast: Calling for a Men’s Mental Health Revolution w/Sam Webb

The Anatomy of Executing a Massive Challenge feat. Michael Young
#216: Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin One of your favorite episodes is #122: Find Your Potential Through these 43 Challenges featuring Ben Aldridge. Ben was a guy living a fairly mundane existence who became bored with his life. He started craving that feeling of inner fire…so he decided to turn his life into a game. He dedicated a year of his life to pursuing 43 crazy challenges – like learning how to pick locks, solving a Rubik’s cube in under one minute or memorizing a deck of cards after seeing it only once. That year turned his black and white life into one of living color – finding joy, mystery and excitement in a life that was previously rote and predictable. You guys have told us you loved that episode because it inspired you to get more curious and creative about how you take on challenges that could expand your life and live that Great Man Within you. Well what would happen if you dedicated a year’s worth of time…not to 43 crazy challenges…but to one big hairy audacious challenge? Michael Young, one of the leaders in our Great Man Mastermind decided to answer that question. On January 1st of 2020, Michael set out on a grueling year-long mission to jump rope 1,000,000 times – that’s 333 days of 3,000 skips apiece – in an effort to see what he was capable of (while raising $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society). In This Episode, we break down Michael’s journey of how he dreamed up such a massive challenge, how he found the courage to begin, the grit to preserver and the discipline to see it all the way through. This interview will serve as a textbook for you as you venture to take on any meaningful project in your life that requires courage, discipline and execution. Who is Michael Young: Michael is a Leadership Coach and an anchor in the Great Man Mastermind In his 1 on 1 work, he specializes in helping people make big transitions in their life He spent 3 decades with CIGNA, one of the largest US healthcare companies He is a two-time Leukemia and Lymphoma Survivor A rabid Philadelphia Eagles fan In this Episode The anatomy of executing a big challenge How to “Embrace the Void” when a major chapter in your life closes The Power of Publicly Declaring your Big Goals The major difference vs being Respected vs Admired Why “what do I want to do” is a far less effective question than “who do I want to be?” Contact 1 on 1 coaching inquiries: Michael@TimeForBold.com Instagram: @MichJYoung Website: https://timeforbold.com

The Biology and Science of Thrive State feat. Dr. Kien Vuu
#214: Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin Dr. Kien Vuu starts his TEDxTalk with a sobering statistic: 50% of the people in the United States have a chronic disease (like high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, arthritis, obesity). 25% of the people in this country have multiple chronic diseases. As a country, we have never spent more on healthcare, and we have never been sicker. That’s the bad news. The worse news is the majority of these chronic diseases are caused by our own lifestyle choices around things like sleep, nutrition, movement, stress, relationships and purpose (or lack thereof). The great news is these chronic diseases are caused by our own lifestyle choices. Which means you have the ultimate authority to move your body’s biology from stress/survival state to thrive state. Dr. Kien Vuu has walked the walk. 5 years ago he found himself in a chronic survival state, being overweight, hypertension, diabetes and on multiple prescriptions. In a period of 4-6 months, using the approach he outlines today, he was able to dramatically shift his state of being from survive to thrive. Who is Dr Kien Vuu: He’s a sought after medical doctor specializing in peak performance, human optimization and longevity Instead of helping his patients deal with chronic illnesses, which is where spent the majority of his career as the chief interventional radiologist at his hospital, he helps his patients focus on achieving chronic states of well being, or Thrive States He’s the author of Thrive State: Your blueprint for optimal health, longevity and peak performance In this episode: The important distinction between acute and chronic diseases The 7 pillars that make up your Bioenergetic State, which is the frequency/vibration that is broadcast to your cells that tells them whether you are in survival or thrive state A beginner’s guide to the microbiome and an at home test recommendation A beginner’s guide to epigenetics How identical twins, with the same genetic markers can experience vastly different states of well-being, all tracing back to these lifestyle choices And Byran shares the recipe of his morning well-being drink, which he calls The Shot of Terrible-ness Resources Dr Kien Vuu’s Website: https://kienvuu.com Pre-Order his book Thrive State: Pre-Order on Amazon Dr Kien Vuu’s TEDxTalk: You Are Your Best Medicine Free Guide to Epigenetics: https://www.thriveto105.com/ebook Microbiome at home test: https://www.viome.com

Why We Need Healthy Sexual Male Role Models (DQ Solo)
#213: Join the Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin Curious with Jake Podcast feat Dominick Quartuccio: Sexual Performance, Sexual Shame and Sexual Health --------------------------------------------------------------- Why do we only hear about men’s sexuality when it’s a problem? Why do we hear SO MUCH about the sex lives of Donald Trump, Tiger Woods and the fuckboys of the world... ...yet we hear SO LITTLE about the sex lives of men who are genuinely doing it well? We’re all fumbling around trying to figure out our sexual selves. Naturally, we look to others to find our way. We take our cues from those we deem “sexually successful.” All too often those are the players, pick-up artists and porn stars. Think about the implications of that for a minute. That’s dangerous. That’s unacceptable. I’m here to play a part in tearing down the old model. I’m stepping forward to help fill this void of healthy masculine sexual role models. My sexuality was a problem for many years of my life because I had no role model to learn from or talk to. I bottomed out and ended up in Sex Addicts Anonymous for 4 years as part of an intensive process to clean my shit up. Now, my sexuality is one of the greatest gifts and most powerful forces in my life. I don’t know what you want to hear from me or how my story might help. But I do know I’ve got more to offer than the players, pick-up artists and porn stars. If there’s something you want to see or hear more about... ...my lines of communication are open. Come find me in: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin (PS - thank you to Dr. David Ley for introducing me to the concepts of “sexual role model” and “why do we only hear about men’s sexuality when it’s a problem?”)

How a Navy SEAL Embraces Emotional Fluency in Leadership Situations feat. Errol Doebler
#212: Join the Great Man Within Facebook Group for Men: https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheGreatManWithin When you think of the epitome of the toughest guys in the world, you’d be hard pressed to find a more indestructible collection of men than the Navy SEALS… The SEALS are widely believed to be the most elite special forces unit in the word, and for good reason. When a class of 200 of our country’s strongest and physically gifted men are whittled down to just 10 SEALS (as was the case in our guest’s journey)… …and when you have to endure 5 consecutive days of sleep deprivation while undergoing nonstop inhumane physical challenges designed to break you… And yet you somehow still survive…you’ve earned your seat at the table as the world’s toughest men. So it might surprise you to learn that our guest today, a Navy Seal, has built his entire leadership methodology on the back of the one thing most men have been taught is our ultimate Achilles Heel: emotions. As you know, Bryan and I are huge proponents of men learning emotional fluency, which is: The ability to feel an emotion The ability to name that emotion The ability to be with that emotion (without reacting) The ability to express the emotion The ability to shift that emotion (if desired) A leader who has mastered these key components of emotional fluency is levelheaded in crisis situations and trustworthy when the heat is on. And our guest today, Errol Doebler, is here to teach you his 5 steps of how to master your emotions in leadership settings ranging from the combat field to the boardroom to your kitchen table. Who is Errol Doebler? Navy SEAL and former FBI special agent, where he was honored with the FBI Shield of Bravery in 2010 Errol is the CEO of a Leadership Training consultancy named Leader 193, where he provides individual and group coaching, corporate workshops and keynote speeches He is a certified trainer in the Wim Hof Method and is currently doing 365 days of ice baths at 36.5 degrees Farenheit Author of The Process, Art and Science of Leadership: How Leaders Inspire Confidence & Clarity in Combat in the Boardroom and in the Kitchen In This Episode Errol’s 5 step process for leading in the boardroom, on the combat field or at the kitchen table Errol takes us back to his Navy SEAL hell week training and how he used his emotional awareness to befriend his fear – versus suppress, deny or succumb to it – and conquer the training How great leaders create predictability in the emotional environments in which their teams operate How becoming aware of our own emotions allows us Jedi like insight into how the emotions of others are controlling their behavior Contact Errol Errol’s Website: https://leader193.com Errol’s Book: The Process, Art and Science of Leadership Errol on Instagram: Errol Doebler Free Leadership Workshop: https://leader193.com/free-leadership-workshop
