The Harris campaign thought last night’s presidential debate was so successful, they’re looking for another round. They’d like to schedule a second debate. Vice President Harris seemed to know just how to trigger Donald Trump into going off on a series of rants. She also called him out on some of the more ridiculous lies. Even so, it was a mixed bag with Trump closing by pointing out that Harris has has 3.5 years to do all the things she’s promising. She looked nervous at times and he had visible moisture on his upper lip and hairline. We welcome journalist and political analyst Michael Shure at the top of the show to get his take on the debate. Presidential historian and political analyst John Rothmann will join to talk politics. We have a special post debate appearance by Pulitzer Prize winning author and investigative journalist David Cay Johnston.

Looks like Trump might be scared of losing the debate. Much like he has for elections, he is laying the groundwork for wriggling out of coming away the loser before the event even starts. Every chance he gets, Trump is disparaging ABC as being biased against him. According to Politico, he has even accused ABC of giving Vice President Harris the questions in advance, without evidence of course. Trump is once again throwing around threatsHe took to his social media page to post a threat that he intends to jail those “involved in unscrupulous behavior” during this election.Here’s the post:      “WHEN I WIN, those people that CHEATED will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Law, which will include long term prison sentences so that this Depravity of Justice does not happen again. Please beware that this legal exposure extends to Lawyers, Political Operatives, Donors, Illegal Voters, & Corrupt Election Officials. Those involved in unscrupulous behavior will be sought out, caught, and prosecuted at levels, unfortunately, never seen before in our Country.”It’s unclear if he is trying to somehow intimidate Vice President Harris before the debate or if he’s simply laying the groundwork for more unfounded cheating allegations. We’ll run it by CBS television and iHeart Radio Political Analyst Gary Dietrich to get his take.Gather ‘round the campfire. Trump‘s mental decline has been on full display yet, unlike the spotlight that was shined on President Biden, the media seems to be looking away from Trump’s obvious cognitive issues. Case in point, Trump was speaking about child care yesterday and here’s what he said: “Childcare is childcare, couldn’t, y’know, is something, you have to have it in this country, you have to have it. But when you talk about those numbers, compared to the kind of numbers that I’m talking about by taxing foreign nations at levels that they’re not used to, but they’ll get used to it very quickly, and it’s not gonna stop them from doing business with us, but they’ll have a very substantial tax when they send product into our country.” Huh? … that’s just the latest example. We’ll roll the disastrous video and then talk to political analyst and journalist Anthony Davis to get his take. We’ll take a look at the Week in Politics with journalist Michael Shure. Democrats on the House Oversight Committee are asking Trump about a suspicious 10-million dollar campaign donation during his last run for the White House. Trump is getting weirder on his social media site. Lately, he’s been sharing Qanon Posts in addition to making offensive comments. The Qanon reposts are pretty eye opening. They include a ridiculous Qanon conspiracy that Trump is some kind a savior fighting the supposed “deep state”. He keeps posting Qanon slogans ad he passed around a sexist degrading meme about his female rivals. We’ll see what journalist and political analyst. Michael Shure has to say about all this. We’ll also ask him whether either candidate should be changing up their strategy. Ahhhhh…it’s Friday once again and time to check in on the good people of Florida. Our neighbors to the South never disappoint in Friday Fabulous Florida. It’s the weekend and it’s time to relax! For some of us, that means a night at the movies or a night streaming a movie. As Trump releases footage taken at Arlington National Cemetery in a campaign ad, some families are crying foul. On CNN, Maggie Haberman reported that she spoke to one family upset that their son, who committed suicide after serving several tours in the Middle East, had the front and back of his gravestone visible in the Trump ad. There is a federal law prohibiting filming in this section of Arlington and so far, there is no evidence that Trump received clearance from military officials allowing him to violate the privacy of the families of America’s war dead. We’ll find out more about the violation of the law when we welcome former federal prosecutor and now defense attorney David Katz to the show. The economy is weighing heavily in this presidential election. From prices at the grocery store to disputed jobless numbers, it’s an issue voters have listed as a priority. Heather Long is a former economics reporter at CNN and the Washington Post, and now works for the latter as an opinion columnist. We get her take on the pulse of the U.S. economy. Are voters getting the real story?
