One woman told CNN, “This is the one we prepare for but never had.” Those choosing to stay are facing dire warnings. Tampa’s mayor is telling her constituents “If you choose to stay in one of those evacuation areas, you’re gonna die.” The Police Chief of Holmes Beach issued a morbid message “If you don’t take heed, you’re on your own. You might as well take a Sharpie and write your name and Social Security number on your leg so that when we find you, we have a contact.” We are working to bring ABC7s Spencer Christian on the show to hear his analysis of the forecast. Kamala Harris is topping the latest NY Times national poll. Donald Trump has been chatty with Vladimir Putin since he lost the last election. Vice President Kamala Harris did not get softball questions when she sat down with Bill Whitaker on CBS’ 60 Minutes. Harris shined when asked about foreign relations and conflicts in the Middle East and Ukraine. Elon Musk, it appears, just had his Tom Cruise couch jumping moment. Over the weekend at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania, Musk was strangely jumping and leaping around behind Donald Trump on stage. The event was held in Butler, Pennsylvania, the sight of the first Trump attempted assassination. In addition to his bizarre jumping for joy cheerleading routine, when Musk spoke, he called himself “Dark MAGA.”  His mother, Maye Musk, took to X and encouraged people to create fake names and vote multiple times as she bashed immigrants. X had to tag her comments with a disclaimer about that being illegal and she later recanted. Colorado Republican Tina Peters is headed to jail. As a former Colorado county clerk, she promoted Trump’s 2020 election lies and was behind a security breach of Mesa County’s voting system. In other words, she tried to cheat and take the voice away from the voters she was supposed to protect. Tina Peters was convicted of four felony and three misdemeanor charges in connection with using another person’s security badge to allow someone connected to MyPillow guy Mike Lindell, access to county election equipment. The judge in the case had extremely harsh words for her actions. Republican Liz Cheney appeared at a campaign rally alongside Kamala Harris in Wisconsin yesterday. They both spoke about January 6th, the need to uphold the Constitution of the United States and how we must put country over party. We are fortunate to have political analyst and journalist Michael Shure to break all of this down. We know that our friends in Florida continue to recover from Hurricane Helene. The judge in Trump’s federal election interference case is making portions of a dossier of evidence against him public. From comments he allegedly made about his Vice President Mike Pence being in danger to statements he made about the outcome of the election to those around him…the evidence appears damning. Former federal prosecutor, now defense attorney, David Katz will break it down.

Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz seemed a bit nervous as the debate started, but got over that pretty quickly. Republican JD Vance was confident from the start and presenting a side of himself that voters have not yet seen, someone who, on the surface, seems reasonable. While the debate was surprisingly civil (mics were only disabled once), Vance masterfully spun lies into his answers and tried to divert Walz attention from the main issues with minutiae. At the end of debate, Walz asked Vance if he could agree that Trump lost the last election. Vance couldn’t do it, giving Walz the chance to highlight a major shortcoming. We welcome journalist and political analyst Michael Shure to discuss it. Presidential historian and political analyst John Rothmann will join us to talk politics.

We get to find out a little more about the Vice Presidential candidates tonight in their only debate of this election. There will not be a live audience at the VP Debate in New York, but unlike the presidential debate, the microphones will stay on. Newly leaked messages do not bode well for the relationship between JD Vance and Donald Trump. The “Washington Post” says in 2020, Vance was using X (then called Twitter) to send direct messages critical of Trump. The WP says Vance was not pleased with Trump’s record as president writing, “Trump has just so thoroughly failed to deliver on his economic populism (excepting a disjointed China policy)”. In the final year of Trump’ presidency, Vance reportedly wrote, “I think Trump will probably lose,” and mentioned turning down a job from “the emperor.” It wasn’t the only surprising revelation this weekend. From golden sneakers to bibles, Trump is slapping his name on anything he thinks will make him a buck. With only two months until the election, it seems everything must go. In the last couple of weeks, Trump silver coins, Trump watches, and Trump crypto have all launched. The watches are selling from between $500-$100,000. Trump did not design or manufacture the watches. He just licensed his name to the product. Over the last couple of years, Trump has made millions of dollars selling products with his name emblazoned. No former president or presidential candidate has sold themselves in this way. Donald Trump is appealing the $480 million judgement in his New York civil fraud case. Some of the appeals court judges appear sympathetic despite the original judge in the case finding that Trump spent years lying about his wealth and the value of his properties duping banks into giving him better loans and insurers into giving him better rates. Journalist and political analyst Michael Shure will stop by the show to talk about it all.Before Albert left for the beaches of Hawaii, he put together quite the Friday Fabulous Florida. We know that a presidential candidate can win the popular vote yet lose because of the electoral college votes. It was thought that Republicans had the advantage, but new data shows Trump may not be as strong on Electoral College numbers now. According to the New York Times polling average, it looks like Kamala Harris won’t need to win the popular vote by much to take the presidency. It all comes down to the “tipping-point” state that pushes the winning candidate over the 270 electoral college votes needed to win. It may be that Wisconsin, where Harris leads in polling by almost 2 points, will be the key. Looking at estimates of popular vote vs electoral vote totals, analysts say Trump’s advantage is less than a point now and that’s about one-fifth as large as it was four years ago.
