It’s all in your head: How to build a business, reset your mentality, and crush your limitations w/ Mike Bledsoe — Real Chalk #59

Are you ready for this?! It’s a crossover episode—with Mike Bledsoe, the OG host of Barbell Shrugged and the creator of Strong Coach. He's got a lot to say about, well, just about everything—from entrepreneurship strategies to open relationships and what the future of information looks like (spoiler alert: it features brain implants and the ability to communicate feelings). 🧠   Throughout the years Mike’s gained some crazy-valuable insight into the athlete mindset and how to successfully tackle obstacles by identifying what's holding you back from your goals. He explains what drives him (it's definitely not money) and talks about the process of developing Training Camp for the Soul and his newest endeavor, a mindset course for athletes that will be launching soon, so keep an eye out! 💪🏼   Mike has been into podcasts since way before they were cool, so he knows who's got it and who doesn't and what makes content worth producing. He also knows who the Hugh Hefner of podcasting is (did you know there was one? Surprise!) and that you probably shouldn't start your own. But don't turn off this episode yet—Mike still believes the best way to have a positive impact is through business, and there are still plenty of ways to do that. Plus, you wouldn't want to miss the stories we've got about insane DMs, the things gay guys are willing to do to me, and how we're all going to be robots in a few years. 🤖   It's Real CHALK on steroids—without, you know, any actual steroids. Coaching is not deep trauma therapy or consulting.  It’s guiding and building performance in people. Coaching is becoming mainstream.   11-20 Having to work on your craft and that’s why coaches don’t have clients. Also, coaches are looking for clients in the wrong place. Coaches are going to people but not the businesses that need them.  Go to where high performers are going. Am I good? Then where do I go to get them? Understanding your dialogue with sales.   21-30 Why we need more coaches and how the world is progressing because we have an abundance of education and communication.  Every human being needs a little support understanding the world today. The dangers of this and getting bad information from people.   31-40 Principles that make great group. 1. Understanding You. 2. Methodology and the way you create change for your clients 3.   Business and the training on what it takes to build a business.   41-50  If you know about something then you learn from the next thing and from different people. Understanding the counter perspective of the perspective you know.  Ex. Learn psychology if you are a health coach etc. Find more fun things for your clients to have a fun experience with you. Making learning a directed learning and not reactive learning.   --------------------------------------------------- Show notes: https://shruggedcollective.com/tbs-nawalkha ---------------------------------------------------     ► Travel thru Europe with us on the  Shrugged Voyage, more info here: https://www.theshruggedvoyage.com/ ► What is the Shrugged Collective?  Click below for more info: https://youtu.be/iUELlwmn57o ► Subscribe to Shrugged Collective's Channel Here http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedSubscribe 📲 🎧 Listen to the audio version on the Apple Podcast App or Stitcher for Android Here- http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedApple http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedStitcher Shrugged Collective is a network of fitness, health and performance shows that help people achieve their physical and mental health goals.  Usually in the gym, but outside as well. Why You're Not Jacked: The Power of Enzymes w/ Bioptimizers - Real Chalk #58

Wade and Matt started their company after enzymes radically changed their lives. They knew the knowledge they were paying $1500 a month to obtain was too great to keep to themselves, so they found a way to spread it to the masses. The result is BiOptimizers: scientifically-backed enzyme supplements that flip the conventional understanding of "health" upside down.   We sit down to talk about our eating styles, our histories in the health and fitness sphere, a lot of nerdy sh*t about how enzymes work and your gut probably doesn’t, why so many people have adverse reactions to gluten and lactose, and how to eat a dozen Sidecar doughnuts in a sitting without dying. You might think you know some stuff about gut health, but these guys are here to break it down (pun intended) for you in ways that are easy to understand and a blast to listen to. Julien Pineau: The Difference Between A Trainer And A Coach — The Strong Coach #11

Julien Pineau is a Humanist & Movement Specialist and founder of StrongFit . Sports have been a part of Julien’s life since he was young and he’s been a state and national champion in a number of sports including soccer, swimming, and wrestling. As an adult, he really found something he liked with MMA and Jiu-Jitsu and spent time traveling the world to learn from the best in the industry.   The time spent Julien spent with the best made him want to learn more about sport and movement so that he could coach others. In 1993, he began his coaching career as a conditioning and grappling coach for the MMA gym where he trained and in 2008, he opened his own gym that focuses on strongman training. StrongFit was born and has evolved from a single gym to a full education program.   Julien’s brain is wired to see faulty patterns and visualize, in space, how people move. With his knack for diagnosing muscular and strength imbalances, he has developed his own system to identify what issues are and fight the root of the problem. He now travels the world delivering seminars to coaches who have the common goal of fixing people and ridding them of pain.   In 2018, Julien’s show on Barbell Shrugged was the most popular one! In this episode, we talk about apprenticeship to master yourself and better yourself, how to be in the present without distractions, understanding the nervous system and how it impacts your training, why looking at humans as machines have caused so much injury in the fitness industry, basing nutrition on what’s going to be happen in the next few hours rather than what happened in the past, and much more.   Come join us at www.thestrongcoach.com -Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Show notes: http://www.shruggedcollective.com/tsc-pineau ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ► Subscribe to Shrugged Collective's Channel Here http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedSubscribe 📲 🎧 Listen to the audio version on the Apple Podcast App or Stitcher for Android Here- http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedApple http://bit.ly/BarbellShruggedStitcher Shrugged Collective is a network of fitness, health and performance shows that help people achieve their physical and mental health goals.  Usually in the gym, but outside as well.
