Simply put, this episode was awesome. We set up in turn 2 for the SMART Modified race at Franklin County Speedway and had some of the biggest names in racing join us for fantastic discussions. We also snuck in some great local music between segments, including the OFFICIAL RELEASE at the end of segment 1 of "One Shot" by The Jared Stout Band (Link below) along with "Country Boys Like Me" by Crawford and Power, and finally "Up on the Mountain" by Corey Hunley, so it made for one of our best shows to date. First we welcomed back Steve Post of MRN Radio/Steve Post Communications with Bill Stanley, co-owner of SS Racing,  for a talk about the importance of short track racing, along with a string of other interesting topics. We also welcomed Matthew Dillner of Dirty Mo Media/Dale Jr Download/Lost Speedways to talk about his experience at the track, along with a fun random conversation you'd only get at FCS. We were also joined by Julian Austin, who finally made his first appearance on the show to add some great perspectives. This is a special show for a special week, as we welcomed one of the biggest legends of Franklin County Speedway Gerald Compton, winner of the first dirt and asphalt race at FCS with over 400 wins, on to the show with SMART Modified Tour Director Chris Williams, to tell some great stories of our past. This show was a treat as we got to sit down with Racing Legend, "The Virginia Gentleman", Jimmy Hensley, in a roundtable discussion with Chris Williams and JB Cole of the SMART Modified Tour.  Jimmy was a childhood hero, and to get him to tell stories of his racing past was on another level of awesome. This was a special show, as we were on location at The Crazy Mason Milkshake Bar in Forest, VA to sit down with owner James Griffin. We discussed his venture into owning one of the hottest dessert shops in the country, featuring milkshakes that you couldn't imagine existing, along with his vision to better the community we are supporting , and much more. For our 50th Episode we were fortunate enough to have on Tyler Godsey, Director of 5 Points Music Sanctuary, and it couldn't have worked out better for this special occasion. It's difficult to put into words how powerful this show was, because Tyler articulated it in a way that is hard to express through text. Ironically enough Tyler, and his children, faced hearing loss issues which makes his passion for sound and music that much more amazing.We dove into that, as well as the history of the building, why he choose to turn it into a music venue, music therapy, working for the community, and so much more.
