The risk of young people developing bowel cancer is rising, and Dr Shauna has experienced this first hand with patients in her GP practice. Whilst there is a genetic element, there are many environmental factors that contribute to the rise of this disease, including diet, lack of exercise, tobacco and alcohol consumption.
