#176 The story of Kepler Vision Technologies with CEO Dr Harro Stokman🦾

Dr Harro Stokman is CEO & Founder of Kepler Vision Technologies, an Amsterdam-based health-tech start-up which uses artificial intelligence to look after the well-being of humans at night through vision-based body language recognition software.  Kepler Vision's mission is to make the job of nurses operating in elderly care homes less stressful and more enjoyable by freeing them to focus on providing care through real-time body language recognition. A spin-off company from the University of Amsterdam, Kepler Vision comprises a team of experts across machine learning, computer vision and healthcare - as well as multiple PhDs. Harro is a fascinating guy, and I think an interview with him would be of particular interest to your audience as we enter the second wave of the global health crisis and with many hundreds of thousands of at-risk elderly people still stuck in overstretched care homes facing a Christmas without seeing their families and in danger of contracting the virus. #172: The Story of Sofia with CEO and Founder, Arturo Sanchez 🩹

This week I'm joined by Arturo Sanchez, founder and CEO of Sofia, a Mexican competitor to European digital health platforms, taking aim at the Mexican health insurance and primary care sectors. In the $65bn USD Mexican healthcare sector, 91% of private spending is paid out of pocket, with too many people forced to pay extraordinary costs for care and pressures on access to primary services. Arturo Sanchez is hoping to change that with a new digital service bringing care to patients at a lower cost.
