Ayurveda, Vata & Learning to Listen to Your Body – with Kate Siraj
A few years ago, I was introduced to Ayurveda by today’s guest – Kate Siraj – and it opened up a whole new way of understanding how my body and mind actually work. Kate’s a brilliant Ayurvedic practitioner, and in this conversation we get into the basics of this ancient yet surprisingly practical system.
We talk about the three doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha – which represent different mind-body types. For me, it helped explain a lot: my racing thoughts, bursts of creativity, and that slightly ungrounded feeling that can pop up on occasion.
Kate shares how tuning into early signs of imbalance (like poor sleep, bloating or energy dips) is key – rather than waiting until things fall apart. We also explore seasonal practices, food, movement, and why trying to follow one-size-fits-all wellness advice can actually throw us off course.
Whether you’re new to Ayurveda or curious to deepen your understanding, this one’s full of gentle insights that help you come back to your own inner compass.
