Deep dives
The Power of Cultivating Courage
Courage is about being present and vulnerable, meeting what is happening with an open heart in spite of fear. It takes courage to love and risk losing what we care about. In the face of the challenges in the world today, courage allows us to stay present, take the next step, and make conscious choices about where we direct our attention.
Finding Ease in Difficult Times
Amidst the heaviness of the world, it is important to cultivate ease. We can do this by remembering moments of ease, whether real or imagined, and allowing that memory or image to evoke a sense of relaxation in the body. By connecting with our capacity for ease, we can soften and find solace in the present moment.
Reclaiming our Attention in the Digital Age
In the midst of technological and media influences, it is crucial to reclaim our attention. Courage is needed to change the channel and make conscious choices about where we place our focus. By developing the skill of wise attention, we can have more control over where we direct our intentions and find freedom from negative rumination or being overwhelmed by external stimuli.
The Role of Love and Relationships in Transformation
Our relationships play a crucial role in personal and collective transformation. Just as peace-making efforts emphasize empathy and recognizing the humanity in others, cultivating loving relationships and connections can bring healing and change. Through witnessing healing relationships and opening our hearts to love, we can contribute to a more compassionate and peaceful world.
