Generation Z's Distrust in Institutions

Generation Z exhibits a significant lack of confidence in major institutions in the United States, echoing a broader trend among the American public. In an election year, only about 20% of Gen Z express substantial confidence in the three branches of government, while trust in the criminal justice system and police stands at 17% and 27%, respectively. Furthermore, despite their extensive use of technology and social media, only 12% of Gen Z trust large tech companies, indicating a widespread skepticism toward the institutions they are set to inherit.
