Stroke Imaging Protocol Advice
- Always get an urgent non-contrast head CT for stroke alerts to rule out hemorrhage.
- Follow with CTA head and neck and CT perfusion if intervention candidate within 24 hours.

- IV tPA is recommended within 4.5 hours from last known normal for eligible patients.

- Allow permissive hypertension for 24 to 48 hours after stroke onset to maintain brain perfusion.
