Blood Feud

Blood Feud, published in 1976, follows Jestyn, an orphaned child of a Celtic father and Saxon mother, who becomes embroiled in a blood feud after being sold into slavery to Viking raiders.

He forms a bond with his owner, Thormod, and together they journey across Europe, ultimately joining the Varangian Guard in Constantinople.
