Asterix the Gaul

In this inaugural book of the Asterix series, a tiny village in Armorica remains the last stronghold against the Roman Empire.

The Gauls, led by Asterix and his friend Obelix, use a magic potion brewed by Druid Getafix to gain superhuman strength and thwart Roman attempts to conquer them.

The story follows their adventures as they outwit Roman soldiers and protect their village from Roman rule.
