A study comparing the caloric consumption of individuals on a plant-based diet versus a keto diet revealed that those on the plant-based diet consumed an average of 700 calories less per day while achieving the same levels of hunger satisfaction and fullness. This difference could lead to losing about a pound in five days. However, there is a question about the long-term sustainability of this difference and whether an adaptation process could eventually equalize the caloric consumption between the two diets.
