NOTE

Timing Breakfast Post-Waking Up

Infusing glucose or sugar into the bloodstream between six and 10 is a fine time to start breakfast. Cortisol is elevated in the morning, but the pancreas is primed to produce insulin during this time, which outweighs the negative effects. It is not damaging to have breakfast within an hour of waking up. Some individuals with a genetic variant may benefit from waiting a couple of hours before having breakfast.
