Dilution of Fundamental Rights through Colonial Influence
The colonial influence on the Indian government has resulted in a dilution of fundamental rights, including the right to property and free speech. Examples such as preventive retention during the Rowlatt Act and the continuation of the salt tax despite Gandhi's protests showcase this trend. The discussion also touches on how the Indian constitution, in various ways, still reflects colonial influences.
