F1 Explains

NOTE

Adapting the Driver's Diet Based on Energy Demands

The driver's diet changes on non-race weekends and during the winter break to adapt to the energy demands. The total amount of calories and carbohydrates consumed is adjusted based on the level of activity. On non-race weekends, the drivers consume less fuel compared to race weekends. Additionally, the day after a race is considered a high fuel day to aid in the recovery process, with a focus on consuming antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and polyphenol-rich foods.
