Being an empath is amazing and makes you uniquely skilled. However, it is important for empaths to learn how to protect and clear their energy. Highly sensitive people, like empaths, are more sensitive to stimuli and need to take measures to protect themselves. Many empaths don't know what these measures are and struggle with separating their own feelings from others'. It is crucial to establish clear boundaries and understand what is your responsibility and what is not. Trying to control others or their outcomes is a manifestation of codependency. Embracing your own needs and emotions should be a priority over managing how others feel. Otherwise, you may end up becoming a martyr.
