Eating plant-based diets, centered around whole healthy plant foods, can lower the risk of age-related diseases such as cancer and dementia, premature death from cardiovascular disease, and can slow down the aging process. Studies have shown that those who eat plant-based diets have a substantially lower rate of aging. Interventional trials have demonstrated that a plant-based diet can slow the biological aging process, and it doesn't require drastic changes - simply focusing on whole plant foods and minimizing processed foods, meat, dairy, egg, salt, and sugar can have a significant impact on slowing down aging.
