When and why to switch up your workout routine

Stick to one exercise for several months unless there's a compelling reason to change. Switching out exercises every week leads to slightly worse results over time. Only change if not getting desired results, experiencing joint pain or lack of strength improvement after at least one to two months of training. The human body can rejuvenate old exercises after taking a break for a few months.
